Do it brother I am a guitar player and with these lessons piano is coming so easy! one thing I would recommend is if you buy a keyboard get a full size 88 keys I bought the smaller one and I already want to upgrade
Just got a casio Px - 400r for a bill, love ur video and been practicing...Always wanted to learn piano...Even at 48 it's never too late to fulfill a dream!!! Thank you for ur video and help much respect (music is a gift for a lifetime!!!)
I have a similar story (and age LOL), I hope you're still playing and learning! If so, are you where you thought you'd be? I've been at it for 10 weeks and still Honeymooning, hoping to keep that feeling. Cheers.
Good on ya Jason and shREDhead. Absolutely, never too late. I'm 49 and bought a FP10 about 4 weeks ago...lovin' every day learning stuff like this. Keep it going!
@@shREDhead44 I'll be playing until they nail the lid on, LOL there is nothing better than playing music, don't ever think of giving up. I know sometimes I have considered giving it away but kept going. To be able to play music is such an achievement. It's a bit slow at first, but once you get going it is so rewarding. Goodluck keep at it.
That was great teaching Kevin. I loved it and played along because I knew the music I was seeing you play. I was not at the piano but on my laptop. I know I can do that at the piano. Thank you so much Kevin. My Dad played piano too. My uncle Buster Smith composed and played all instruments. All God given talent. They never had any lessons.
You loaded so much fun and solid information into ten minutes! These are simple licks that you can add to most rock and blues songs right now. A very valuable lesson and one that I'll keep coming back to and sharing. Thank you!!
I can learn that as a beginner by simply clicking on that little gear at the top right of the screen, and slow Down the video to a crawl. Love it thanks.
Im a lifelong guitarist - dabbled with piano for a few decades... time to get to the next level... subscription added - thanks! (With the extra red keyboard view - its really easy to see what youre doing - unlike some of the YT teachers - fair play...)
@@PianoteOfficial I'm a lifer and enrolled. Sadly having finger surgery on right hand soon so I'm looking forward to learning all the left hand bits first.
I am practicing 3 times a day with this video, and I am starting to work it out…..it is great… My problem is I have never worked with a metronome……This back ground beat is excellent it is making get the swing and I copy Kevin’s swing and I might be able to play this in about 30 days….Thank You..😁
Great video!! Played Southern Rock and Blues harmonica for years with a few piano/organ fills. This really helps with expanding my skills on keyboard. Thanks.
Awesome-though had to slow down the speed to figure out the notes and rhythm-it really was fun. Thanks and now so looking forward to the 30 day course.
wow ! awesome lesson Kevin, I have only been playing for a couple weeks now and I don't know if it is that I play guitar and know the scales that is making piano come so easy or if it is your awesome teaching whatever it is I have a new love and her name is piano!!!! thanks so much for all the lessons at Pianote
Loved this lesson and just starting to learn the style of blues piano…I’m a beginner to intermediate player in general and would love to learn some slow blues in the same format…like one bass chord with licks and runs with the right hand…❤ hope to see that kind of blues lesson ASAP🎹thanks Grant
This is a really helpful video and the timing is ironic for me. I literally just finished the week long jazz band auditions at my school yesterday.😂 If this video existed a few days ago, perhaps I would’ve been better at comping and not embarrassed myself during my solo. Thanks for the video, I’ll definitely be rewatching this video and checking the 30 day blues to prepare for next year.
We're glad this was a helpful video, and we hope you did great in those auditions!! In case you're interested in the 30-day blues course, here's the link to enroll: th-cam.com/video/bR9QkdOVIrc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Pianote 🙂

Nice, thx. May wanna work this for a lil while anyway, lol.
I liked the rhythms melody's perfect chord's progressions Dm7b5 , Am and Bm , Dsus 4 .
Beautiful blues and then some. Sounds incredible especially mixed up, joined together, and expertly lightly mashed. Thank you for the awesome music!
I'm a guitarist and I learned (and will steal) a lot from this. Thank you!
We love you KEVIN! You are an awesome teacher! THANK you for sharing this with us!
