      @@jeepn392 Subaru makes boring family cars that save you $200 a year in gas and loose thousands more in depreciation so Jeeps cost less to own in the long run when you get way more for the trade in value

    I am getting 20 MPG on longer trips, and 15-16 on shorter trips. Does not matter to me though, I call it SMILES PER MILES!! Best vehicle I have ever owned, and I have owned some really nice rides

    I could live with that MPG, but having to use premium fuel was the deal breaker for me. I love the 5.7 HEMI in my RAM 1500 (I get about 17 - 19 MPG) and wish they would have went with that instead of the 6.4.

      Understood. Need for premium was a tough pill to swallow but once I heard that exhaust it was over. 5.7 in the JL would have been a solid choice for a number of reasons.

    I fill at half tanks. And I agree, I do the same . Really it compares to my rubicon on 38’s. I’m at 17 also. To everyone who has the 392, this video is spot on.

    I got my black jeep wrangler 392 xtreme recon and i dont get miles per gallon i get smiles per gallon and im very happy. I use the cruise control and the highest i got was 16 miles per gallon on highway, but since i just got it like 2 months ago i cant keep my foot off the pedal

    My pentastar v6 gladiator with steel bumpers and 2.5” lift gets 13-14 mpg so you’re doing great considering you have a 6.4L hemi

      Agreed. How do you like the Gladiator? I came really close to going with a Gladiator instead of the 392.

    Wow hyper-miling with a hemi, that's a first.
    I love it, you have way more patience than I'd be the guy leading and probably on a first name basis with all the cops in my state.

    My 2021 2DR Rubicon 3.6L E-torque gets 20-21 MPG out here in Phoenix AZ. But I’m on the stock 33’s.

    Still in my first week of my Wrangler 392, filled it twice, reached 400 km and still tank at 70% yet

    If it makes you feel better, this is better MPG that I got on my 1990 4 liter Jeep Wrangler, this is actually pretty efficient, but after owning an 800 h.p. speed boat, everything seems efficient.

    I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and thats about the MPG I get. I dont use the ECO 4cylinder mode at all. Im experimenting with about 30% E85 and 70% 87 octane to save some money over premium 93 octane fuel. Im running weekly videos of it.

    I'm owner of Subaru WRX + stage2 mod. For sure 392 does better MPG than my Subaru. Now I bought Rubicon 392 and drive it daily.

    Damn you have 93 Octane where your at! Good for you. We only have 91 here in Calif. what are you paying for fuel where you’re located?

      California... Only place worse for fuel prices is Canada and the EU!!! Currently paying ~$4.75 for premium here. Is 91 at $7.00 yet in Cali?

      @@jeepn392 Not yet brother but getting damn close. Actually certain areas of Southern Calif are Just at 7 but I’m between 6.40 and 6.80 here. I’ve decided if it hits 8 my 392 goes up for sale. Only have 2900 miles but can’t afford to even enjoy it

    17 mog is bad at all. My old Ford F350 with a V10, and 4 speed automatic rarely got 12 mpg on the highway. I ran 35's on it, and had a lot of fun driving it. But I'm hoping to order a 392 Wrangler soon.

      Agreed. I’m ok with the mpg when driving it “gently”, but not driving the 392 like a baboon takes a lot of self control! Thanks for watching.

    How much range do you get for one tank of gas?

      Next time I fill up I will tell you the estimated range according to the Jeep’s computer. The Jeep has a 21.5 gallon tank.

      @@TheLishmac Nice. I was thinking about going with the 4Xe, but once I heard the exhaust note of the 392 it was over... 4Xe would have been perfect for my short commute though.

      @@TheLishmac Agreed. 13 isn't bad, and I'm ok with that. Stop and wait traffic kills the MPG though and may result in lower numbers if your commute has a lot of long waits (392 does not have stop start tech.)

      Thanks! I’m running AEV Borah wheels with Falken AT3W all terrains for the winter. Planning to put 35 inch mud terrains on the stock wheels this summer.

    Your 392 gets better rule economy than my JK 3.8L V6 6M Rubicon Unlimited with a 2 inch lift with 35 x 12.5 BFG KM3s.

    An old Blazer here where I live has these custom license plates: "I ❤8 MPG" - and I agree.
    V8 all the way. I hope Jeep will make a V8 gladiator as well. Better a V8 2-door gladiator. 👍
    ...as long as all the cool guys in Hollywood movies are driving muscle cars, Hollywood can't preach me to drive a Prius.

    I don't know. Scoping out drafting situations on the highway sounds like you should step down a notch. It's a beast (just like my 1970 Chevelle). I really never thought about drafting another car to a show.

      Ha ha. It is a beast and a total blast…and my daily driver. Won’t be stepping down but will continue looking for opportunities to “hyper-mile” the hemi on boring interstate drives. 😄

      Thanks and congratulations! I think you will love the 392. I was initially concerned about the 3.73 gears, but I have felt no need to re-gear after moving to 35’s (For my use case here in the Midwest). Took the Jeep to a nearby off road park for a shakedown run and was impressed with the performance on 35’s crawling in 4-Low. Zero issues with the 3.73s on the street.

      @@jeepn392 Awesome! Yea I currently have a 2015 JK with 35’s and I never re-geared and it drives fine but it is pretty sluggish whenever I need to speed up lol. So I’m excited to see how the 392 will perform

      @@SupaGooser7001I had the same issue with my 2019 Rubicon 2 door with the 3.6 liter v6. One I moved to 35,s the Jeep was super sluggish. I think you will be impressed with the 392. The torque of the 6.4 makes all of the difference.

      @@SupaGooser7001 Nothing added to the stock 392 suspension, but my AEV wheels do have backspacing that pushes the tires out a bit further than stock. I think you would be fine running 35 inch tires on the stock wheels with no issues. 37 s would require additional lift but would probably fit with slight rubbing and zero available flex.

    BTW, my 2012 rubicon penta-star with absolutely no modifications or tire size changes at all got around 15.5 to 16 mpg. I just ordered a 392 before they are gone

      Congrats on ordering the 392! I think you will love it. I have the Warn Evo using the Rusty's Offroad winch plate. I installed it myself and actually did a quick video providing some tips on the install. It can be a tedious task but was easier the second time I did the install.

      @@jeepn392 thank you and I have to correct my original statement. There is no order…I tried but would not allow for the order to be completed when I added the extreme recon package. Then I read that it was discontinued in February of 22 (that may or may not be totally correct). So I searched the web and everyone said it was gone so I lost interest because without the XR package I didn’t like it as much. THEN I saw one for sale in Springfield TN at Gupton Motors and I figured it was just a lure and they didn’t really have it. Checked it on 9-4-22, then drove there to pick it up on 9-7-22 after putting a deposit on it over the phone. Sarge green in the XR package. How lucky is that. They said it just came in and they contacted the guy that ordered it and he backed out. Then a couple folks tried to buy it but couldn’t. I am really impressed with it. So far it has been tinted and the warm winch is next.

    A hummer gets 10 mpg with army tonnage- once you get 13 mpg it sucks just as bad as an army hummer

    My 2006 LJ has 74k miles. 10.9 to 11.6 mpg on 35’s and 4.88.. I drive like an old man and rarely hit 65 mph.

    I get 10-14, 12-14 in adaptive cruise and low rpms. 9 if I rly just floor it down in left

    I get less than 13 city mpg in my 2019 5.7l jgc. So you must be very light with your gas pedal.

    You are getting better fuel economy than I get in my 2002 Dakota R/T, LOLOLOL and you have 220 more HP with giant tires, hahahaha. 13 pure city is damn good.

    just for comparison I had 2018 2 door sport s , had 305 65 17 that was 33 inch got 20 to 21 average .in rule driving where I had some stop an go got 20 to 23 . start flat high way with no head wind got 23. my new gladiator with same 3.6 and same tires luck to get19 on highway. lift and gears make big difference

      @@jeepn392 I like it except for gas milage.i have been looking at epa mandates . my. original plan was to daily drive my jeep for 6 more years then buy a truck but when I saw all the co 2 regulations coming in 2026 thought I would make the jump now. I plan to run the wheels off this one than do a v8 swap. I think v8 trucks will be few and far between.

    So let’s get that sticker mileage back, if you are going to keep the 35” tires on you need to run a 4.10 gear
    The 392 is designed and programmed to compensate for load under torque and going with a bigger tire with a 373 gear creates constant load
    Thus the poor gas mileage around town👨🏽‍🔧

    Not much different from my 2013 Chrysler 300 srt8. 6.4 with the 5 spd auto. Highway was 22.5-23 mpg. City babying it 16 mpg. City driving a srt8 like a srt8, 11-12 mpg.
