Awesome real world review as usual guys! That is an amazingly capable vehicle offered straight from the factory. I just can't imagine actually off-roading a $86,000+ USD machine. I wouldn't enjoy it at all for fear of damaging such an insanely expensive vehicle.
Very cool rig. Glad they’ve made the Extreme Recon package available on other models/engines too. Think the 2.0T version of this might be pretty nice in its own right.
@@jeffreygreer not really about displacement, rather overall output and more importantly the torque curve. Versus the Pentastar the 2.0 Hurricane should feel very peppy and torquey. It's not going to be a 392 of course, but it'll still do 99% of what any Jeep owner would likely want out of their Extreme Recon.
Truck King is 1,000,000 times better than TFL. These are legit tests on natural roads and courses that you maintain to stay nasty and rough. Thank you for your work !
I wish jeep reached out to us like Ford did with the Bronco Raptor. Like you and i talked, i have a wrangler and would have LOVED to get my hands on one! Amazing review as always my friend! 🤙🏻🔥
Really enjoyed the video and subscribed immediately. Good job. I never really liked the Jeep Wrangler cause of it’s aesthetics mostly, it’s kind of like an acquired taste I guess. My favourite truck is the Toyota Sequoia which I have been driving since the first edition 2003/4 edition and bought the 2012 model mainly for it’s modern features as my 03/04 sequoia is still running absolutely beautifully. I have always loved trucks, my first ever being the first edition Toyota Land Cruiser with the opposite seats arrangement in the trunk. I don’t believe any truck can ever beat that in terms of practicality, and toughness. It was way ahead of it’s time. But I am beginning to rethink my next truck based on this video. Any other amazing trucks out there? Cause I know I am emotionally invested in my Sequoias as I have never had any problems with the engine (the 2003 still drives as smooth as silk at over 300,000 kilometres and I feel it’s even better than driving my 2012 model if not for the tech.) and have been through all sorts of terrains without any issues. But I love the off-road capabilities of these wranglers, just don’t know how they’ll drive on normal everyday roads.
Rocks- no problem Logs- always got stuck! Hi center on one and was the only time I used my winch to rescue myself. (Tires lift and jeep= 17" of clearance)
Wow I would buy with a because like 2014 with v6 moderate equip then hit on kings or blisten shocks 3m lite brute rocks sliders for moderate intermdate trails to just typical off road if you get more groovy 4cyl it's liter but 4door
Great review. looks like fun. A collectible for sure, one is coming at my dealership in Ottawa but at $141k CDN I will pass, our current Rubicon Recon 2.0T is good for us. Is the payload impacted by the weight of the V8? What are the GVWR numbers?
I'm scared about my tires rubbing I still trying to decide should I go with 33or 35 can you guys help me out with this any professionals please answer my comment on this
Plan A) feeling bored. Plan B) Save 20k, sell my near mint 39k miles Rubicon10A for 30k. Get a 1 owner 10k miles Rubicon392R for 75k, an only owe 25k + interest on something awesome. Yes!
I have the 392 Non-XR and the on-road is underrated. It accelerates amazingly well. It does not handle but it does do well enough. I think the Bronco Raptor is also less attractive.
I really enjoyed this video, thank you guys! I noticed that you’re not wearing you Toronto Blue Jays cap anymore 😅 But it’s ok… My Yankees cap is away until next season 🤪
As tempting it is the get such an offroader brand new you, and be the first one to get it im the mud, and getting some work done with it, you really have to pay a premium. And as time goes by how will all this tech hold up under all these circumstances? Its a fairly complex bit of engineering, really dont know if it holds up in value against an old 4x4 with a g80, where dirt, dents, and pretty much nothing else really matters, as it is maybe a $3000 car. That simplicity and readily available cheap parts with the older offroaders comes really handy when you must do a quick fix, or repair whatever the problem is. This is a monster with all that power, the lift, the 35s, but i would care too much about it, and it would make it much more compromized than it is. I mean i dont spend 90tsd dollars every day just to go to the forest 😂
Why would you try to climb over the log when it is all slippery. It is guaranteed to get stuck the way you did. I am shocked the propeller shaft is not damaged.
My pick would be the Rubicon. The Rubicon is still going to have the locking front and rear diffs, the detachable front sway bar, and the 4:1 transfer case.
I think most would feel nervous/uncomfortable if they are wheeling their daily driver no matter what it costs. The cost of the vehicle just scales with what you are able to buy. I think most care just as much about their daily vehicle as the next person no matter if their budget was 20k or 100k. Now if you have the means to have a separate daily AND buy a beater to wheel then you are still in rarified air.
Not the Jeeps fault for half that lol, the jerking was on you, who goes in a mudhole with traction control? lmao. Same with the log, you had no idea what was going on a got yourself stuck, if you stopped it would've been fine. Driver error.
"this v-8 and most v-8's are going to be going away very soon." -- depends upon politics as v-8s are still very, very popular, especially among off-road enenthusiasts
People shocked at $100k? These are extremely limited due to the fact of the EV revolution. These are probably the last gen to get big mucky gas guzzling V8's. This is a rare opportunity at this point in time. I love that Jeep and Chrysler in general is still grasping at these straws right down to the end.
Those who want one and can afford it should buy one now if you can get it before they become extinct and are now longer available brand new at any price.
The best real world test for this vehicle
Now That's What I Call Testing A 4x4 SUV,Awesome!

Dude it’s real easy to do! Mines on 37s with 4.88 gears. Beast mode and a daily driver. Fun on the weekends for sure out here in CO!
Absolutely amazing vehicle I’m glad they finally put a V-8 back in the Jeep.
That’s what it’s built for🤦♂️ most trucks are made to go off road, that’s what lockers and 4x4 is for
@@MrRjezoniehahah word !
You have thee SPOT for testing those off roaders the right way. Thank you
Very cool rig. Glad they’ve made the Extreme Recon package available on other models/engines too. Think the 2.0T version of this might be pretty nice in its own right.
Problem is it’s unreliable
@@kgositheophilusbakwena3632 nah it’s largely fine.
one third of the engine to move that monster

@15:23 "How could you be such an idiot?" 🤣
Last time I seen someone using a winch with a jeep, he died because of dinosaurs.
Literally the Jeep or vehicle I would buy if I could afford it like this thing with a pro charger and 37 it would be fucking crazy
I love the smile on Dad's face as he says: 'yup that's fun all day long"
jeep owns the raptor its just a fact
Finally, a real test. Thanks you.
I do admit the intro with the 6.4 hemi is actually good idea for all up and coming video.
the masterpiece. absolutely luv it. thnxs so much 4 video.
That jeep is ridiculous. I love it.
I have one of these and love it! This was the first real world, off road, review I’ve seen. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
It comes with a factory 2 inch lift and you can stuff 37s or 40s on It! Pretty badass imo
Thanks guys, really enjoyed your video 👏
Finally, someone offroading this wrangler!
Going over that log 🪵 was just stupid!
Then he looks under jeep and said somebody went off roading. 😂

I could never get one of this beasts, too expensive for my budget, but it’s nice to see! I’ll get the V6

Hey Truck King!! Awesome video!! Man thts expensive at $116.000. I could never afford it... enjoy the day!!
$116k? Absolutely Obscene.
I wish I could afford the 392 Rubicon lol.
GR8 VIDEO THANKZZ FOR SHARING!!!!

Thank you 🙏
Great video as usual. I’d buy this Jeep in a heartbeat. I just can’t afford it.
Stephen, Now we know why Fred Flintstone used logs for tires .
Rocks- no problem
Logs- always got stuck!
Hi center on one and was the only time I used my winch to rescue myself. (Tires lift and jeep= 17" of clearance)
👏👏👏 LOVE THE SHOW .... HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE ✌️ .. HAPPY TUESDAY 😊
What tire pressures? Those tires a bit slippery over the log
This is why you never hit the trail alone without a hi-lift jack and winch.
You hear very nice and your are to the point and your videos are great

Awesome rig👍😎. How is the inside space for a 6ft6 atlethic guy, in regards to head/legspace I wonder😃
Were the lockers on when you approached the log?
Good review , looks like a fun time.

I think the front diff and oil pan needa be higher and protected
There’s a dealer front diff relocation option. Puts it behind the transfer case.

Hey Steve, only your dad can come at you with a line like that! you know what i mean..Great job guys!
Thanks 👍
Your trails looked to be very basic. Need to try it out on some really challenging ones I reckon 🙂
Over kill - old 4.2 straight 6 and the right tires were good enough in the 83 Scrambler I had and should of keep!!
Well done Jeep! I don't need a Jeep but I want one anyway, but has to be a 392. I also like the 4WD-Auto.
Good video review 👍

No winch on the 392??
Not from the factory but I put on a Warn on my 392
Real world testing through multiple terrains will tell you what it is best at.
Which is more capable? A Rubicon with 33’s or a Willys with the xtreme recon package?
My pick would be the Rubicon. The Rubicon is still going to have the locking front and rear diffs, the detachable front sway bar, and the 4:1 transfer case.

When off road, I get rid of that traction control!
Jeep fans: Is the Rubicon Extreme Recon Package superior to the Rubicon Hard Rock Edition of a several years ago?
I love it. Just wish the price was a little more reasonable.
How are you able to test these vehicles without owning them? Lease?
Probably vehicles provided by manufacturers specifically for reviewers to publicize, I think.

I would not buy new lite brite rocks sliders an equip king shocks or glisten 2 inch 2-in lift 37 tires call good for
I just made that same obstacle in my Hummer H3 this morning on the way to work😊. Easy Peasy! You just have to have the right rig👍
Except that your log had P R I U S tags on it 🤣
I love jeep 392
The jeep 392 only I don’t like the tire can go on mudding well
God i wish i could afford one of these. I would get it in White. so sweet
Not the Jeeps fault for half that lol, the jerking was on you, who goes in a mudhole with traction control? lmao. Same with the log, you had no idea what was going on a got yourself stuck, if you stopped it would've been fine. Driver error.
Yeah definitely looked like driver error to me too.
Awesome👍
This rig should have a motor and transmission skid plate for 100K.
Does jeep offer a model without all the automated digital crap?
If I owned this vehicle, the first thing I would do is learn how to disable the traction control.
Locking diffs front & back
I think it's awesome and it don't destroy the environment like an electric vehicle does
Now you gotta test one at the mall parking lot, that’s where most of these are at. 😂
Should RTI on that ramp
So the fastest way to stick up the Rubicon 392 is to high center.
100K? Completely laughable
We need new video of the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator.
I would like to see a Wrangler fitted out the same with the only difference being the engine. I'm guessing it will go just as well.
horsepower there is no substitute except a whole bunch of gear
With some better driving you could've got off that rotten log. Your. Not beating on it you're driving it like it's made of glass!
I don't care what you drive. When it comes to wheeln - its 90% driver and 10% rig.
Definitely better than the Bronco Raptor.
Wrangler. Forget fords rainbow Raptor.
For these prices, just buy a helicopter.
