  • Here is a quick overview video of the new features of the B-5 Organ V2.
    You can get the B-5 Organ V2 on this page: www.acousticsa...
    Check out the B-5 Organ VS Real Organ comparison video here: • B-5 Organ V2 by Acoust...
    For more info about the recording, the A-100 has a direct Line out that we used.
    The Leslie 122 was recorded using 2 pairs of similar mics we built from microphone-parts.com, they have an incredible low noise level and sound great.

    This is some real innovative art right here!

    Dang. Only if the back of that Leslie was closed during the recording. It makes a difference in the bass quality.

      @acousticsamples  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can control the bass equality using the Horn and Drum microphone placements, you have a set of 4 microphones that you can place anywhere around the Leslie to make it wider or more focused, including setting the bass mics to the front of the leslie that will give you the equality you're looking for.

      What acousticSamples said plus there is a 3 band EQ on tap as well. There is no shortage of bass.
      B-5 V2.2 is incredible.

    Great video and VST. You noted above that you recorded the A-100 with a direct Line Out. I have an A-100 and was wondering want you used to get the direct line out or if you have a wiring diagram to accomplish this. Thanks again

      I'm sorry, we don't have anything about this, the A-100 we used had the line out already, but i'm sure you can find that info on the internet.

    Great job. The sound is excellent, but, and there is a but, multi-contact keys are critical for both feeling the instrument and listening to it - otherwise there is always something that sounds artificial in the key clicks, which greatly reduces the authenticity...

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, we have created something that somehow recreates that. Depending on the velocity, the 9 contacts are closed more or less quickly (and in the correct order) and since each tonegenerator produces its own small click, the overall keyclick changes a lot as well, just like in a B3. I agree that it is not the same, because on a B3, you can actually slowly make the contacts one by one, so it will never be exactly the same, but it's pretty close when you play the regular way. Just check this video without the leslie to hear what i'm talking about: th-cam.com/video/tVw4lnZrzOY/w-d-xo.html

    • @itzikshoshan3685
      @itzikshoshan3685 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@acousticsamples I think that recreating the keyclick in this way will sound good, but this is, in my opinion, the easiest part. The harder part is to generate keyclick according to the key level - in a real B3 you can hit the key very fast for only half press, and you can feel a different keyclick wich caused by only part of the drawbars - which many players like to play it like a percussion. On a real multicontact keyboard you feel the liveness of the organ. In order to immitate that you must use multiple sensors, and identify the pressing level, and not only the velocity.

    Wow the bass rotor in that real leslie slows down so quickly. I've never seen one do that before. It almost doesn't seem real. Is it made of foam?

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, it's a regular one made of wood, but all the parts are very clean and the belt is very tight. That being said, you can control the acceleration and deceleration in the preferences of the B5.

    Does sound very Nice indeed. Would probably get this over the vb3 if it didnt have the iLok protection. Trying to get rid of and steer clear of all that and dongles. Just let me put in a serial and activate it on 2-3 machines and I'll be a happy new customer, I promise!

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, this is already the case, we use the iLok protection, but you don't need an iLok Dongle at all, you can simply activate it on your computer (3 machines at the same time).

    • @Selaphir
      @Selaphir 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@acousticsamples Hmm, that makes it a lot more appealing. I still have to install a third party software though I guess (iLok)?
      Thanks for the info! /J

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Selaphir Yes, that third party app gets installed with our player (it's called the iLok license manager), but it's no different than other companie's license managers (NI has the service center for example).

    • @Selaphir
      @Selaphir 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@acousticsamples Does this, once activated, work in offline mode as well? For example all the NI vst's I have work on multiple systems and in offline mode once installed and activated. No dongle needed. Same goes for Studio One, Fabfilter products and so on. How does iLok work in that regard? If I need a steady internet connection to be able to use already installed and activated software it's a no-go (since I wouldn't be able to use it when at the cabin and so on).

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Selaphir Yes, it does work offline like the other companies. You just need an internet connection once when you activate a machine. After that you can be offline all the time if you want.

    What kind of mics are you using to record the upper horn on the Leslie? I love how it’s not picking up any wind swooshing sound at all

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We're using large membrane mics from Microphone parts.com these are insane microphones, that being said, the part where we don't get the swooshing sound is because the Leslie is actually an FX based on a simulation which does not include the swooshing... You can add it manually if you want to in the preferences.

    Please provide more information about how the midi mapping for the SK2 Series works, or really doesn't work. Thank you.

    • @acousticsamples
      @acousticsamples  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the V2.2, it works just fine and 100% by just going in the MIDI prefs and selecting the the SK2 mapping. There is nothing else to do. We have verified that with a few different SK2 users.

      @Jake5577 4 ปีที่แล้ว
