A point guard that really looks to find players and set them up is refreshing. Solid signing. Hope to see Yuki and Zach succeed. Memphis is looking good
I don't wanna say the anime thing just cause Japanese. But his play style defense and court vision reminds me a lot of Akashi from Kuroko. Similar height too. But I doubt he can dunk tho lol
Yuki and Jay Huff have a good dynamic going. That pass when Huff was underneath the basket with a reverse layup was a beautiful thing. to watch. Nothing more disarmingly selfless than a point guard in his truest form. The idea that at every turn your objective is to turn your shooting teamate into a human highlight real (when you in fact are doing the trick) is something to be in awe of. And he's five freakin' eight!
2:23 is insane, drawing two defenders and a third from the wing with a no look pass, rooting for him to go insane and drop 52 points like IT on the Celtics
Kawamura is so refreshing to watch as a pass first point guard. That’s rare to find these days since guards want to be scorers all around. Yuki gives me a lot of Jason Williams and Rajon Rondo. Lots of great no looks with an insane pass IQ, and he seems to carry himself really well considering what he did for team Japan in the Olympics almost beating France. Whatever the Grizzlies do with him, there’s a bright future and Ja can compliment his game really well if they can both make it work on the court. Eddy with Yuki is gonna be fun to watch for Memphis
Is a hell of challenge to be in the NBA with his size so that's already an accomplish, great for him. He reminds me a lot a Suns Steve Nash, always setting up for the teammates, and yes he can play. You can see also his Japanese culture, not arrogant or not shimmy, just go back to defense once he get a good assist or bucket.
damn this is so sick to see, will def be watching more griz games with yuki playing going forward 100%, like watching IT when he was torching everyone before the hip injury.
Mavs fan here who just heard of this guy. As a fan of the game though, love seeing these beautiful passes from the PG position. Wishing him luck in his career.
Lakers, this guy is who you need so your superstars don't get injured. He makes everyone else have easy buckets. Lebron, make it happen man. Center AD, PF Rui, SF Knecht, SG Lebron, PG Kawamura. Sub him out on defense, when he's up against a shooter like Steph. If it's a guard that drives, like Westbrook, leave him in. 🙏
His passes are crazy. That ain't Magic Johnson, that's Magic John-san
Hes kuroko from kuroko no basuke lol the anime
I'm Japanese this made me laugh so hard thank you!
i see what you did there
😂💪😂💪😂
He is Magic John Stockton.
Refreshing to watch a pure point gaurd again. It’s becoming a lost art.
So is spelling apparently!!! Lol😂
@@phyllisskeens8416 what I misspell?

@@xtlbx ah, my bad
Couldn’t agree more !
His playstyle and the way he controls the court makes him so fun to watch , and man i just wanna see more of Yuki Kawamura!
Like kuroko no basket😂 anime
Watch kuroko no basuke, the main character is just like Yuki kawamura
He is an asset for the team. This is a kind of a player you always want to be in a team. Very unselfish player.
He plays like he's been with the team for a long time, but it's incredible that they've only been playing together for a few weeks.
yuki " i told you he can play" kawamura
yuki "ooohhh..did you see that pass" kawamura
Yuki "He belongs in the league" Kawamura
Yuki “really 5 7??” Kawamura
announcer said that like six times
@@calebk8518I thought I was the only one that noticed he said that more than 3 times 😂😂
As a pass first guard… I really love this guys game
A point guard that really looks to find players and set them up is refreshing. Solid signing. Hope to see Yuki and Zach succeed. Memphis is looking good
You do know Zach plays for Grizzlies while Yuki plays for Hustle?
@bigradwolf5001 He signed a 2 way contract with the Grizzlies and will able to play up to 50 games with the team
This is good news for all short basketball players around the world.
Not really, he’s good offensively. But honestly what can he do defensively?
for real im 5'7 30yrold, im going back out there and renewing my hopes to making big
@@pscrypto966😂😂😂
@@rwuh89 u must be blind and delusional that you can't see him play defense, with that height, he sure can play defense so well
@rwuh89 the same can be said about Steph Curry and Damian Lillard but no one complains about their defense.
The passes are insanely good that the plays the team make looks so flawless
what a point guard ! he is the only reason why I pay attention to the preseason .
Yuki is so fun to watch. Feels like watching anime with incredible assists.
I feel like it’s more like basketball than anime
Just like kuroko no basket right??
I don't wanna say the anime thing just cause Japanese. But his play style defense and court vision reminds me a lot of Akashi from Kuroko. Similar height too. But I doubt he can dunk tho lol
@@RobGradyVO oh I forgot he can make a basket like akashi does. He is really good tho
Keep that gay anime shit to yourself. Fuck outta here.
I hope he can make noises in NBA. Basketball world needs him

He had great synergy with the team, great passer and great court awareness. Just have to be consistent with 3s.
2:23 is insane, drawing two defenders and a third from the wing with a no look pass, rooting for him to go insane and drop 52 points like IT on the Celtics
When you're this short. You better be a genius or a freak
You just need be fast and precise
Looks really good. Let's see if he has the longevity now and can do it when it really matters! Good luck to him!
It's fun to watch players be underestimated because of their height and then blow people away. Reminds me of Muggsy Bogues.
Kuroko enters NBA 🔥
They gonna make a manga about this guy
They already have an anime where the main character is similar to him "Kuroko no basuke"
he is so good with passing, he reminds me of kuroko tetsuya
😂
agreed
Looking forward to watching him in the regular season. He’s gonna catch a bunch of defenders sleepin !
I wana see him dribble through Wemby’s legs lol
Funny!!

His 3 pointer is very dangerous. Also him being short makes him difficult to deal with when dribbling
The reporter was clearing in the process of convincing himself:
im telling ya he can play x100
Lets go , Im getting some of steve nash days back flash now. Pass first players... i hope we see more from him !
Not a single layup and only shoots when he needs to a true PG
has the ability to get the pass off quickly - imrpoves timing. - improves diming
That mid-air no-look pass at the end though, so good. Always keeping defenders guessing.
KUROKO the 6th man
Future mvp most valuable petite asian
He's pretty normal for us average folks
He called him Lil Fellow. We are cheering for you, Lil Fellow! Go Yuki!!!
5'8. Unbelievable. Incredible
Short King is lightning fast and can drain those threes!!!!
He is everything!! Team player, Passes, and 3 pointers galore 😍 I love him so much! ❤ And he's a Papi~chulo, Ayyee Yuki-kun🫶🏽

Who number 30 he keep assisting the ball to. He can play to. The entire video it’s basically them 2.
LET'S GO KAWA!!!
He can make any teammate easy!
Kawamura-san is a real hooper!
the way this man is instantly on Defense after the shot -- locked. in.
Things are coming together nicely! Maybe they’re developing great chemistry!

If the NBA career doesn’t pan out he definitely has a future on a coaching staff. Dude is amazing.
