not racist comment at all ! Another cliche about us Japanese ? So when we re fast we are ninja, when we can fight we are samurai, when we are pretty women we are geisha, when we are funny we are anime. I mean can't we just be Japanese and be aware and precisely throw.

@Hannari-xt6nr oh i hope im japanese man, but gotta play the card that were dealt with. To be clear, i also hope im a ninja.

@@yevanasvetya5486 But you are neither and so you compare two things you have no claim to compare . He is not a Ninja he is a japanese basketball player. When a black player runs fast or jumps high you don't compare it to a gazelle or a monkey right ? Because you know that you would be called racist immediately even though gazelle and monkeys are from africa just like ninja are from japan.
Ninja don't play basket ball. So he is not a ninja, he is just a japanese man who plays basket ball.
My japanese wife is pretty, has very pale skin, tiny lips jetblack hair, she is demure and humble, is an amazing tradito9nal dancer and wears a kimono like a second skin. does that make her a Geisha ? No. Anyone who calls my wife a geisha i put through a wall.
Ninja were mercenaries assassins who were hired when you wanted to put a contract on someone's life.
How is that a positive thing to call anyone a Ninja ? Plus why does it have to be compared to something from his own culture. Why not call the black players, ninja, they are just as good or they wouldn't be in the NBA. You see this is racism without even trying to be racist, but it is racism.
We are not ninja, we are not anime or manga characters, we are not samurai or geisha or sumo wrestlers or whatever other cliche the world has about us. Can't we just be Japanese and simply be good at something without it being diminished by a silly comparison.
      Where are you from ?

@@johnsuggs7828 whoa whoa hold on. I aware that iam a damn good racist but not to japanese, and while i wrote this comment, all i wanted to do was to applaude the guy's finesse. Hence im using the word "ninja". I dont even know that ninja thingy because a racist word. Or is it just american thing? I once heard that, in Japanese, the family name comes first. So, his actually ""individual"" name is Kawamura, and Yuki represents his family or region where he was born
It's quite interesting. It represents the Asian Cosmovision: before you be yourself, you are part of something bigger.

He is a pass 1st, 2nd, 3rd Point Guard. He know his role and he focuses on it. He's not jacking up +15 shots a game and assortment of air balls. Sad he is on limited minutes. They should play him more and give JA more rest.

Although I have never heard of this basketball player, Kamamura,a point guard, but at 5 feet,8 inches tall, because of his height, weight and speed,it's these types of player's that can dominate both ends of the court, and he knows where everyone is and without looking, he'll kill the defense player's, but on the same token, his fellow player's know that expect a pass, that no one anticipated ,and he can add another assist number to his current amount, and when you have a player of that caliber, expect the unexpected, same thing with the NFL, to anticipate something coming out of the BLUES,WHERE THAT COME FROM??,and I like to watch the reactions from player's, because it tells a MILLION WORDS.

He knows he doesn't have a chance to shoot, these guys are easily over a foot taller than him with their wingspan. He can pretty much sprint circles around them, and pass easier as well. Being shorter, that means the defender HAS to lower their center of gravity, which as a tall person make it difficult to move quickly, mix that with his low, quick passes, Kawamura is really a god player. His job isn't to score points, it's to set up points. You can't leave him open, because even though he's shorter than the other NBA players a 5'8 guy can shoot just as well as a 6'8 guy. He's one of the hardest people to effectively guard/play against.
Kawamura is also japanese, you might not think that's important however it's crucial to his success. Generally speaking, japanese culture is centered around fitting in, not standing out, and not thinking only for yourself, but for the collective. American players are generally very arrogant, even at the smaller highschool levels, and while there are some outliers in Japan in regards to hubris, a majority of players genuinely understand that in order to win, ego needs to be put aside.
His upbringing in a culture that emphasizes team play, checking your own ego, and being humble. Mix this with the societal standards to be a master in whatever job you practice, Kawamura is a deadly opponent to face, and a shining beacon for his team. His fundamentals are beautiful, his ability to show confidence in the paint against three defenders not having the ego to score, and his willingness to just be there is really really good.
He's so low to the ground compared to these guys, his passes are literally JUST off of the court. Even his own teammates have to bend slightly down to scoop up the ball. The average height of a Japanese basketball team is 193.7 cm, or Six foot three inches, being five foot eight inches, isn't that bad. You can still compete for points. However in a western space where Six three is considered short, it's something these players haven't faced in a long time. The average height for an NBA team is like 6'7-6'9, imagine trying to defend against a dude who you have to literally shift your entire center of mass for. Kawamura is used to playing against giants, NBA players aren't used to playing against normal sized people.
