As a person with Long Covid i have an 80% chance of getting worse if I get reinfected, and yet am not considered sufficiently "vulnerable" to qualify for Paxlovid or booster vaccinations. And I would never get offered monoclonal antibodies even if they worked as I am unlikely to be hospitalised, as doctors have said they can't do anything for me. My option is basically house arrest. Even if there were more helpful drugs available they would not reach people like me.
Sobering stuff, thanks Steve & indie_SAGE
As a vulnerable person 3 1/2 years of house arrest to avoid the virus, lucky so far.
I had no idea the medication situation was so dire. That’s worrying
Thanks again for valuable information. When do you need to take Pavlaxoid, should you come down with covid, if you are 'high risk'...please?
