2000-2005 were such great years for vehicles. Honda was amazing at that time, the 1998 Civic that dropped me off for my first day of Kindergarten lasted me all the way through my 2nd year of university.
I tend to disagree. Honda and Acura in the early-mid 2000's released many incredible vehicles yet failed to mirror that greatness with faulty and subpar transmissions. My dad owned a 2003 Acura MDX Touring and had to replace the tranny ~4 times. Lasted 270k miles before it went to auction last week.
The fact you always see these cars with well over 300-350k miles on them and their still running and driving speaks wonders, if it wasnt for their awful fuel economy I would get one myself. I have a 02 camry with 210k miles on it tho, And when I went to my mechanic to get it inspected he joked and told me "Dont worry, she just reached her break in period"😂
Funny part is that these are better. Timing chain will always surpass OHC belt V8s. Not to mention how cheap these are to run. Land Cruisers and most toyotas are severely overpriced for no real reason.
Had a 2004 Tahoe LT with that blue color that changes depending on the sun. Grey leather interior, Bose system with a sunroof. Miss it so much. A lady rear ended me totaling it 😪
I’d love to see you now test drive a denali of the same gen which came with a 6.0 and share your experience with both and the differences and which one would you prefer. Thanks for the awesome content, absolutely loved this review!
@ 4:00 .. not sure what the ticking is, but mine does the same thing🤣 In stock form, without exhaust, intake, or suspended mods.. the feel of the 9th Gen Suburban is absolutely intoxicating. Just a great suv to be in. My 03’ Z71 has 250K and runs as smooth as silk, even with the potential lifter tick. Outstanding review!
One thing I kind of wish they did on cars is instead of activating the turn signal with the levers you would press little buttons on the steering wheel like that would make it alot easier than having to reach the lever but I cant tell that for sure since I dont have my license yet
@DMCarReviews I bought a 2023 Nissan Terra VL 4X4 two years ago over here in the Philippines. It's pretty much like the newer bigger version of an Exterra but 2.5 Turbo Diesel. Almost $1k every month and servicing it as part of the loan every six months is expensive plus insurance.
I have a Suburban 2006 that has a line on the side in gold color and written in the line Suburban and the Chevroli sign. What is the name of this category and where is you located?
Hey, how come you never do any sound system testing in the cars you review? Personally, I think you’re one of the best POV car reviewer’s out there, your driving style is similar to my own lol but feel that is the only thing missing in your reviews is sound system test. Just curious.
@@DMCarReviews gotcha, that I figured, but I thought I might as well ask. Thanks for the fast reply, I always look forward to your videos keep up the good work.

One of the most reliable SUVs most people own in my opinion but not better than Toyota
Very reliable!

@@TheSavage3.6Agreed. The GMT800 is the king of the hill of SUV's. Toyota has nothing on them.
Love these things. They are comfortable and have a good amount of power.

Doing a 0-60 in the rain is crazy 😂
That color is awesome especially in the sun, it color shifts from teal to dark blue depending on how the light hits it
Yes, it does!
Lifter tick can be solved with oil pickup tube o-ring that tick is because of low oil pressure when idling common on these
Nice truck lovely sound🔥🔥
Absolutely!
I just got a 01 2500 with the 8.1 with a bad trans can’t wait to get her going
They look so comfy!

Thank you for watching! I'll have to look out for one😎
A buddy of mine had a 2006 1500 5.3 Suburban and he did an 8.6 0-60 on a newly tarred road om a 70-degree day.
That's awesome!
GM peaked (post malaise era) right around here.
The Chevy Suburban is so iconic, it has its own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Yes!

@thubb6 this is from low oil pressure when idling main cause typically o ring on the pickup tube has failed
Complete opposite temp wise in Texas. Happy its hit rather then cold. I hate the cold.
great video man love your comentary!
Thank you for watching!
That guy was on ur tailgate like
Random Dante’s Peak reference but yeah. I honestly did not expect to hear anything about that movie ever
That was an 87'
Driven too many of these over the years as trade ins Even messed up with mega miles they ran good
I'll never get rid of my 04 Yukon.
They also had Suburbans in the original Twister film.
That's cool!
5.3 liter v-8 followed by a 4-speed automatic transmission with an overdrive
Correct!

That's how Tesla has it
What is that thing called on the windshield?
depending on which engine it had, these tanks weren't slouches. Pay for it at the pump but they had some power
Nice video! Is there cruise control on this one? If so, where are the buttons at?
For some odd reason, they put it on the turn signal stock
Yes, it has cruise!
@@Johnsonbra Interesting...

Thinking about buying one. Tired of paying a car payment

Not sure! Located in Frederick.
i dont drive my 99 silveraDO in the rain if i can help it. it gets no traction. the engines in this era of gm trucks is the best ever made by gm
Need better tires
Seems to have a slight tick. These suburbans and Tahoes are really cool. Do you think you can review a newer version like an 09 or 2013?
I'd be down to film one.
The slight tick could possibly be a simple exhaust leak. My OBS had an exhaust leak and it made the ticking sound because of it.
Request: 2004 Chevy Tahoe white Z71 POV test drive
I'll lookout for one!
was it ticking?
lifter tick
Or could be exhaust leak. The tick sounds the same.
Definitely try to review a Ford Excursion
I'd love to review one.
Expedition EL/Max as well as
buying a burgundy one in the morning 😀

that oil pressure is really low!
Typical broken ABS wire somewhere. 😅They either break on the hub or somewhere close to it.
Looks very outdated for 2005
Nah
But it's beautiful and it works. I have 2006 cattle for 670,000 miles, all of them in the agency's condition.
They only look good with the z71 trim or color matched bumpers
