This almost feels like a ytp and I love it
The original version was going to have Kazuya running for a grand total of over a minute between the cuts but it felt like the joke would go on too long. Mythra also in the original never looked back at Pyra (so Kazuya always stayed way back loop running) but also didn't feel right on final review. YTPlite is kind of the moodish I was going for.

@@Aflay1 The original joke started because I was in discord with Mira as they were animating the video and I kept thinking of the drums from Monty Python as we probably watched the run cycle of the Kazuya close to almost 2+ hours straight during key frame process. As in - would watch the scene - stop it - tweak some animations - watch it again, repeat. So the opening scene it always seemed like Kazuya was pulling a Lancelot from Holy Grail and kept just running in the distance.

@@lucastonoli3256 "Shotos" don't mean the same thing in Smash as they do traditional fighting games. Traditional fighters when ported to Smash do not behave anything like other smash fighters. Mario would be a Shoto in the sense you're thinking of. In Smash their extra inputs, cancels, and auto-turnaround traits usually translate into the ability to just auto-KO people with a consistent close-range combo. Thus, in Smash, players play around them like you would play around grapplers (zoning/keep away neutral with specific punishes), and Shotos refers to any DLC character with similar traits (This applies to Ryu/Ken/Terry and now Kazuya) that behaves like this in practice.
This is because of the primary differences in Smash's movement and punish game as opposed to traditional fighters. You can get consistent combos in Smash, but rarely do they translate into the same immediate KO potential as in traditional fighters. Most Smash Fighter combos just build Percentage and can't lead to a KO in the first place due to Knockback growth. As a result most actual times you get a KO in smash it's done off of edgeguarding, platform followups, or a hard read in advantage that's often dependent on the opponent's DI. Generally speaking you have a limited percentage window in which to execute a combo that leads to a consistent kill (and it's often only 2 moves long) and that's what people play to. Traditional Fighters have a set amount of damage you have to do to your opponent, so combos can go on for longer and be more consistent, so when you take a fighter from a traditional fighting series and translate their moveset as accurately as possible, they wind up blowing up smash characters with extreme consistency, often at percents most of us wouldn't consider to be KO percent due to having high base knockback.
@@GrimoireM Still not a shoto, or at the very least the same archetype as Ryu, Ken and Terry, even within Smash. Mental gymnastics aside, the reason Smashers use that term Ryu and Ken being their first time with somewhat complex input, had it been an MK character, they would be calling Kazuya a Ninja, a kombater or some stupid shit like that. Wanting to use the term for a character that doesn't fully fit the label (and it's easy to notice that by just watching) and trying to "claim" a 30-years-old term from the scene they claim to belong to is just childish.

As someone who partially maimed Kazuya in smash I can indeed confirm that 90% of what we do looks kinda what they did right there but we’d probably add some jumps side and up specials to get there faster to miss quicker
