Amazing job J! I’ve taken a few inspirations from your channel for my build in the future. Curious tho? What’s your welding setup? I need to get one soon for my 280z build.
hey, looks like you either burn too much fuel or you don't have enough timing advance! with the maxxecu (same as a megasquirt 3), i timed it nearly at 34° at 3500 rpm
You’re right, I do! My car is chronically rich and I also removed the cold start injector, I’m looking forward to getting a megasquirt setup myself 👌🏻, at the moment the car has its stock mechanical FI system which is kinda wonky
For the undersized tubing, autozone and harbor freight sell cheap tube expanders for better fitment for next time haha, ive never had to use one, but i always see them for ~$15 (not sure if you knew about them or not). Excited for the new EFI update too!
@@JordanPayneLV Hello. Thanks for the interesting video about installing the catalytic converter. Could you please tell me whether you no longer smell the exhaust gases so strongly with the 280z? Thanks for your help.
@@misterspeed5042 it does help a little, yes. But the 280z also has tail light gaskets in the back that need replacing for keep fumes out. Also rust commonly happens in the back right fenders which may let fumes inside the car
@@JordanPayneLV Thanks for your answer. My car is sealed against exhaust fumes. Only when I'm driving and have a side window open does my clothes smell strongly of exhaust fumes.
GREAT VID MY DUDE
Thanks bros 🙌🏻😎
Nicely done,
Thanks man 🙌🏻

Thanks man! I have a primeweld 225x, then a bunch of accessories. Maybe I’ll make a video soon outlining all my welding equipment :)
Awe Yeah! First like and comment.
Great job on the exhaust broski. i could have used your help when installing my Z-Story exhaust. Had to make a few adjustments for fitment...
I appreciate you man 👌🏻🙌🏻
It’s hard to make adjustments when it’s all metal haha!

I wonder if they’d work, thanks for the suggestion!

@@misterspeed5042 the gas smell might always be there until you get a proper modern ecu. Old car things!
