Beautiful cars. I've had a 75 280Z for about a year now. I found that many items change within a model year, so window regulators, etc., can vary by production month, vs. production year

You'll run into issues again with a 240Z regulator, you need a 75 - 78 280Z regulator, the 2 cars look the same from a distance but the 280Z doors are a little bit longer, the 280Z is over all a little bit bigger there are some interchangeable parts but the regulator is not one of them. Good luck love the Z and the story. I'm inheriting my stepdad's 75 280Z as well, he's owned since 1978. I've owned about 8-9 240Z's because of him
The regulator that I bought said 75-78 280z. Idk why it’s not the right one 😢 you are right tho, the 240z regulator doesn’t fit lol

75 was 260
Although Datsun produced the 260z from 1974-1978, the US only got the 260z in 1974. From 1975-1978, the US got the 280z and 280zx :)
No, they only made the 260 in 1974
