The guest has some scary eyes. Reminds me of one of those crazy drill sergeants you see in a war movie like Full Metal Jacket. He looks and acts like he once had a job in the army or police force.
Tom I would look into magnesium and potassium. There are four main electrolytes in the body sodium calcium potassium and magnesium Sodium and calcium excite and make muscles contract Potassium and magnesium make muscles relax The problem is that calcium and sodium is in everything but potassium and magnesium is not. So look into it, my depression and anxiety went away after supplementing. Sleep like a baby and could even sleep 10 hours. You have to make sure they are both high quality and absorbable forms. Start with low dosage. Like 50mg potassium and 200mg magnesium. When you live a very stressful life you burn right through magnesium. Your magnesium serum has got to be depleted. Please, please! Look into it it changed my life.
When Gary said to maintain elevated emotional states you need more oxygen which is why anger, fear, etc are easier to experience because many people have less oxygen....that hit the nail on the head for me. Breathwork seems to be the answer!!
Oh how deep breathing bringing Higher More Oxygen into your lungs/body works. Me for example - High Cortisol (the fight or flight hormone) raises Glucose. I'm Type 1 Diabetic - couldn't figure out why Glucose is high in the a.m. without eating. Answer Cortisol High. So I started deep breathing to lower Cortisol/Insulin. IT WORKS. Breathe Deep.
Be it "rebirthing" (L Orr or W Reich, or the 60k year old Yoga pranayama) or the new fangled Wim Hof its all the same and 1,000% amazing. Ive done 6month daily bouts of this sort of stuff since 1999. When I do its amazing, when not then life is much harder. The body never reverts to the excessive cramps etc once you properly break through the bloackages newbies face
Taking 9 deep breaths, before my first bite, is the best thing i can do, to get this body in para-sympathetic system. It's in-DEED amazing. Have a YAHsome day❤
I’m about to quit something that is very bad for me. Been saying it for a while but I am really doing it sometime this week. I’ve been done for a while. It’s just hard to change. Wish me luck and if you will, pray for me. Thank you.
Praying for you and if you believe in Jesus remember to rest in His amazing, never ending, always faithful love for you, Holy Spirit helped me and He can help you too.
Most people who ‘just can’t get themselves to do it’ have a core value of COMFORT. If you don’t desire something MORE THAN you desire comfort, truly at your core, you ‘just won’t do it’.
Wonderful video and wonderful guest. I quit smoking marijuana and drinking here in Vegas which wasn’t just a daily thing, but a 8am-9pm thing for me. I actually became a born again believer here in Vegas, and through the struggles with my addictions, I was able to to overcome those issues, and am bringing a product to market early next year which is in manufacturing now. I write provisional patent applications almost weekly. Thank you for the insights and encouragement. I hope and pray many other people break those cycles because there is so much more life waiting for them. God Bless you both fully.

00:14 🍹 Alcohol, sugar, and weed can hinder success for many: while a few succeed despite indulging, countless become too inefficient due to these habits, leading to patterns of mediocrity. 01:12 🧠 Dopamine absence breeds addiction: Dopamine deficiency is a key factor in addiction, like the reward from eating sugar that triggers addiction, highlighting the role of dopamine in behavior. 02:07 🎮 Addiction tendencies shift: Addictions change forms due to the underlying dopamine deficiency, showing that the behavior persists despite curing the physical addiction. 03:42 💡 Habitual behaviors impact life quality: Actions that soften life's quality should be identified, irrespective of whether they meet the classic addiction definition, aiming to help people improve. 04:51 🚀 Commitment to success demands sacrifice: Extraordinary achievements often necessitate sacrificing habits like regular partying or substance use to focus on skill acquisition and growth. 07:36 💥 Vices' impact on mental and metabolic health: Commonly accepted vices, like drinking or weed, can adversely affect mental fitness, oxygen transportation, and mitochondrial health. 08:59 🧬 Elevated emotional states and oxygen: Elevated emotional states, linked to oxygen in their molecular structure, depend on oxidative states, impacting how individuals experience joy or arousal. 11:43 🤔 Physiology's role in emotional states: Emotional states, especially anxiety, often root in physiology, like issues with neurotransmitter production, emphasizing the biological basis of these states. 14:14 🧠 Brain's response to altering neurochemistry: Human behavior, including indulging in various activities, stems from a desire to modulate neurochemistry, influencing emotional experiences. 17:39 🧩 Anxiety's link to physiology: Anxiety can often trace back to genetic mutations affecting neurotransmitters like serotonin, emphasizing the importance of addressing physiological roots over coping mechanisms. 19:02 🦈 Catacolamines and anxiety response: Anxiety triggers the release of catacolamines, fight or flight neurotransmitters, showcasing how thoughts influence physiological responses, even when not in a threat situation. 20:24 🧠 Physiological responses to imagined threats mirror real threats due to the same physiological root, triggering a dump of catacolamines into the brain. 21:31 🧬 Genetic mutation (compt CT) can impair catacolamine regulation in about 35% of the population, potentially causing slow breakdown and triggering anxiety. 23:40 🥦 Proper supplementation with B vitamins from natural sources like green leafy veggies and grass-fed meats aids in downregulating catacolamines, impacting anxiety incidence. 24:49 💡 A few key lifestyle factors have significant impacts: sleep control, sunlight exposure, and managing sugar intake/blood glucose levels. 28:01 🍬 Sugar's pervasivepresence in modern foods contributes to various health issues, including mental and psychiatric illnesses, linking to conditions like Alzheimer's and blood sugar disorders. 31:28 🔄 Understanding the trade-offs in everything consumed or avoided, recognizing the impact on physiology, aids in optimizing health. 33:05 💊 The body needs nutrients in refined, usable forms (methylation) from consumed substances, emphasizing the importance of supplementing for deficiencies. 34:01 💡 Most common health conditions might not be purely genetically inherited but potentially due to deficiencies in specific nutrients, impacting methylation processes. 39:18 🌿 Using methylated multivitamins and supplementing for known deficiencies can result in significant health improvements by providing essential raw materials for bodily functions. 41:38 🌟 Nutrient deficiencies like B vitamins can lead to anxiety, gut issues, and sleep problems. 42:20 💡 Addressing chronic conditions often requires understanding individual nutrient processing differences. 43:02 🌞 Vitamin D3 deficiency impacts the immune system, potentially increasing vulnerability to diseases like COVID-19. 44:13 🧬 Genetic testing helps identify essential nutrients the body needs for optimal function. 44:55 🍃 Folic acid, a synthetic compound, isn't naturally occurring and may not be necessary for optimal health. 45:37 💊 While cautious about supplements due to isolated compounds, considering methylated multivitamins might be beneficial. 47:41 🌿 Natural alternatives like berberine might perform as well as metformin for diabetes without significant side effects. 48:09 🛡 Genetic testing helps determine safe supplementation levels for water and fat-soluble vitamins. 51:09 🛌 Establishing a disciplined morning routine and consistent sleep schedule significantly aids in quality sleep. 53:25 🌅 Exposure to morning sunlight within 30 minutes of waking helps regulate circadian rhythms. 54:49 🌬 Adopting specific breathwork routines aids in circadian rhythm control and promotes relaxation at night. 01:00:07 🍽 Adapting eating schedules during travel to align with local time zones is crucial for circadian adjustment. 01:02:10 🌞 Exposure to sunlight early in the day, even in different time zones, helps reset the body clock faster than adjusting eating schedules. 01:03:23 🍽 Prioritizing sun exposure over meal timing for circadian rhythms; digestion diverts blood and oxygen from the brain, affecting energy levels. 01:05:03 🛫 Fasting during domestic flights helps maintain energy levels; diverting oxygen from the brain to digestion during flights can exhaust the body. 01:06:26 🕰 For faster adjustment to new time zones, avoid eating during your normal sleep window in the first 48 hours while also getting sunlight exposure. 01:08:43 🍽 Following intermittent fasting, with eating windows from morning till early afternoon, coupled with sun exposure before eating, can aid in adapting to new time zones. 01:09:48 🧬 Addressing genetic factors, like the CT gene mutation, for anxiety and sleep quality through personalized supplements, potentially regulating catacolamine levels. 01:11:23 📈 Establishing achievable, small, daily goals to build self-trust and discipline forms a foundation for consistency and success. 01:21:43 🧠 Nutrition significantly impacts mental function, memory, and emotional state, influencing the memories we recall and the ones projected into our consciousness. 01:22:10 🧭 Emotional state determines future outcomes; controlling emotions starts with proper raw materials and physiology in the body. 01:23:07 🚀 Mastering emotional control is crucial for steering your future; it begins with the right body physiology to experience the full spectrum of emotions. 01:24:15 🏋♂ Prioritize optimizing your biology for energy and persistence in pursuing goals; energy levels depend on cellular capacity to generate energy (ATP). 01:25:26 🧬 The mind's functionality, mood shifts, and hyperactivity disorders relate to the rate of neurotransmitter breakdown, affected by nutrient deficiencies. 01:27:32 🧩 ADHD and ADD might not be attention deficits but rather attention overload disorders, where too many thoughts pile up due to slow breakdown of neurotransmitters. 01:32:06 🦁 Some individuals require high stakes or external pressure to focus, indicating challenges in setting internal priorities or handling equal weight given to all thoughts. 01:34:27 🧠 Cluttered minds might seek external organization (OCD), reflecting an attempt to control chaos internally; clean minds aren't as bothered by external disorder. 01:37:12 🧪 Depression's root cause may tie to nutrient deficiencies affecting neurotransmitter production in the gut-brain axis; mental conditions often stem from physiological imbalances. 01:41:44 🧠 Depression can be linked to nutrient deficiencies like methylation issues. Certain deficiencies in nutrients like SAM-e, B complex, and methylfolate correlate with higher rates of depression. 01:43:19 🍏 Ancestral diets contained nutrients like SAM-e, B complex, and methylfolate found in fruits, cruciferous vegetables, grass-fed meats, fish, chicken, eggs, and dairy. Modern diets lack these nutrients due to processing and use of preservatives. 01:44:58 🍰 High sugar intake contributes to higher blood fat levels and weight gain. Sugar raises insulin levels, inhibiting fatty acid pathway access, leading to fat buildup and potential cardiovascular risks. 01:46:44 🏥 Triglyceride levels affect cholesterol size and risk. Elevated triglycerides with high insulin increase the danger of cholesterol by reducing its size, making it more risky for cardiovascular health. 01:53:09 📊 LDL cholesterol alone doesn't determine cardiovascular risk. Its correlation with triglyceride levels impacts mortality rates. Low triglyceride with slightly elevated LDL is linked to longevity. 01:57:43 🎲 Using statistical models to predict life expectancy isn't a definitive forecast. It's a statistical proxy based on risk factors and population data, providing insights but not individual certainties.
Separation from God leads to emptiness. Lol ! Prayer is the answer nothing more is needed. There are many ways God has to make you reach the desired goal of emptiness. When you reach the bottom that is where you meet the truth of your destiny. Supplements vitamins good health is not available for everybody this is an all inclusive journey. Prayer is the answer nothing else.
Thanks man I was wishing this was broken down so I can come back and watch certain parts, then I found this amazing comment. Keep doing what you're doing bro. You should actually sell this as a service to you tubers.
Out of all "Holistic Medicine" Gary Brecka has got to be ranked number 1. Man doesn't have time for a TH-cam channel for a reason. He gets straight to the root of everything.
Tom let the guy speak! It's like you're battling for the stage... the amount of information lost because you never let Gary land lowers the potency of this conversation.
Two books that I liked are: 30 Days to Sobriety by Harper Daniels and The Easy Way to Stop by Allen Carr. Even if not in an addiction, they're both enlightening reads with good mindfulness stuff.
T, stop interrupting Gary. Your cutting off important info that we would like to hear. It's not all about you. Give your guest the stage. Your not the center of the universe.
We need to protect this man with all cost, the way he explain is just unbelievable, amazing ability to express knowledge. I wish there is more ppl in our educational system having same as this man. Everything he said have perfect logic and background his understanding of human biology and body metabolism is better then all the doctors together from my country.
There are countless ways to tweak and improve different aspects of your life. What I do is zero in on the top 5 elements that really drive results in any given area. I focus on nailing those down perfectly. After that, I don't sweat the small stuff; chasing minor improvements is like running after your own shadow. Instead, I shift gears to tackle the next big thing, applying the same principle: mastering the most impactful 5 factors.
Such a great show and an awesome guest that I have been all over lately. I just wish someone that cared about. Tom will talk to him about wearing his hat on backwards. It’s just so hard to take a grown man seriously when he wears a baseball cap backwards. Mind blowing. Anyway I’m still watching the show, and this particular episode was amazing.
We have a condo on the beach. The second we arrive, I am instantly calm, peaceful but still don’t sleep. Since starting every am at dawn with walking 30 minutes and then grounding 20, I feel so much better.
I think he may have been challenging some of Toms core beliefs around mindset, being Gary kind of saying it without saying it that if ones biology is in order that takes care of most problems including faulty mindsets @@randombutrelevant
@@randombutrelevantI completely understand trying to ask the right questions to understand things but in a lot of ways, it felt like Tom was trying to correct Gary and undermine his expertise at times. I think some podcasters are starting to notice their audiences enjoy a bit of argumentative banter and it gets more views and comments, so I guess it’s possible it was purposeful but it seemed more like Tom was just being himself and had some biases and preconceived notions about Gary that he didn’t expect Gary to so easily overcome.
@@randombutrelevantI stopped watching Tom years ago because I wanted to hear his guests talk. He seems to have had a lot of great guests recently so I’ll probably dabble again despite his narcissism.
Yes 1000% It's painful to watch him know as much as every one he brings on but tries to pretend he is trying to understand it better- he has issues. His poor wife.
Yeah Tom gets good guests but I think he's forgot that's why people watch him. If anyone wants his opinion on literally everything, we'd watch a video of him on his own
Regarding the fight or flight response, the third F - freeze response - is almost always left out of this paradigm as it was not part of the model originally. Some individuals neither run away nor fight but instead freeze in terror or shock and become ineffective altogether.
I agree with you. I'll add that there is an additional act = all of the above simultaneously... a kind of rapid-fire cycling of all responses! Be well.
Thank you thank you thank you so so so much for discussing the biology behind these things. It’s so helpful and I’m gonna keep listening and it’s helping me to better understand myself and what needs to change.
I'm only 45 minutes in and you may have solved why I've been too sick to even work for almost a year now while having six different doctors looking for possible root causes. I've had countless urine and blood tests and they show that I'm super healthy yet I have chronic sleep loss, anxiety, gut issues, and polyuria. Sleeping only 4 hours a night and puking bile every morning while having irritable bowel syndrome has completely destroyed my productivity. I will be ordering methyl folate supplements immediately.
I am super grateful for my doctors and all their help and will be forwarding this information to them. I cannot expect my human doctors to act like AI. @@saskasbirds
He also talks a lot about animal based diet (not fully carnivore) but getting ready of carbs and vegetables for a while and see if the natural toxins and symptoms disappear (if really want to keep carb have a look at sorghum)
Looks like you just got scammed, that is exactly what this gurus cares about about - you bying there "miraculous" products, no pills(fast solutions) are gonna solve your problems, you need to change your life.
Just stop eating everything that isn't natural. Pills will not overcome garbage in. For me its bread, rice, pasta...i eat very little to none of it. Just meat, veggies, fruits and juice...black coffee..tons of apple pie cuz there is no yeast. Anything that has risen like doguhnuts or bread is poison.
Thank you for giving Gary such a long interview. I’m not familiar with you Tom, but I was a bit surprised at your confusion around the negative effects of GMO foods and farming. I’m looking forward to seeing a follow up with your test results and any improvements you have after Gary’s recommendations.
Everything is about balance and moderation, including behaviours for drugs/shrooms, drinking, etc and that includes addictions, whether within healthy means or extreme measures towards exercise and diet.
He's full of himself! Notice how when he said, 'i want people to follow up on the results of the tests I do, I'd like to do so but never happens'. Maybe bud they realise, you're a self centered individual who undermines and adds nothing to the conversation at any given moment. First pod I've watched of his, he's lacking podcast etiquette. Watch Diary of a CEO, he's way better.
Tbf Tom is right in this case. There is no evidence that synthetic mRNA doesn't get broken down by the body. The body deals with new mRNA and other unique proteins literally all the time. "Synthetic" doesn't automatically mean "body can't break it down", even if it's the case for specific things like plastics, that are designed specifically to have high longevity.
I am fascinated by these inputs. Thanks to you Tom for your dedication helping us gaining knowledge. These insights are so simple and logical yet so many of us do not spend time thinking healthy. I got rid a lot of health issues via proper supplements combined with proper nutrition and regular physical activities. The far i can remember i had a plan for each. However, since a while i stopped keeping record of them and seem to have moved back to default, which caused my former heath issues. Hence, i just understood why I see some of those issues to be present be back and some new to raise. While listening to your conversion just checked on how to choosing vitamins, best time to take them and discovered i am doing it wrong. I will get back to my old plan and start paying attention to what i eat, who frequently i eat and for what purpose do i eat!
Life is to be lived, you are here to experience the contrast of this reality not to obsess over your vehicle that is designed to fail. Moderation is the key to everything
That is a stupid way to think and live life, why ever get an oil change or have maintenance on your vehicle if it’s eventually going to break down smh we take care of it so it can run smooth and last as long as possible. It’s a fact that those things are not good for you and eventually will lead to diseases. You cannot tell an addict just have one drink because of moderation
Got the same info from one hour interview on the Dan Bongino Show, probably because Dan wasn't constantly interrupting Gary to talk about himself the whole time.
CAN YOU PLEASE GET DR. JACK KRUZE ON!! I FEEL LIKE ALL THESE GUYS YOU HAVE ON TIP TOE AROUND WHAT HE SAYS IN DEPTH. I LIKE HEARING ALL THESE GUYS ITS LIKE PUTTING A PUZZLE TOGETHER. YOUR DOING GREAT TOM THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOURE DOING!! I WATCH YOU ALL DAY AT WORK
I am a weed every day kinda guy. But i did no-november and cut out any vices. Weed, alcohol (I wasnt drinking much anyway, but didnt want to transfer my time to that), and deleted everything but youtube and Messenger from my phone. Its a crazy experiment, and i recommend everyone try it with some introspection. ....besides, theres always do-do-December.
you should talk specific about refined sugar. go on a fruit diet for 2-3 weeks, it feels like having some of the fasting effects like being motivated as hell while being super strong.
2 of my favorite addictions! Tom and Gary! Love you did this together! Tom please do a follow up to this when you get your results and take some actions. My youngest daughter did the gene swab with Gary and in about 2 months of appropriate supllementing we have seen amazing results already! I share you btoh ALL THE TIME!, love what you both bring to the world! ❤
Would like to see a follow up as well, very curious to see how things would go for Tom. Awesome to hear about your daughter. I am curious if you dont mind me asking, was it just suppklementation advice based on the results or diet modifications as well?
Its that not complicated. Eat clean, get in your vitamins, workout. Eat what you want once in a while. Most importantly live your life! No wonder most people say screw it.
I would seriously recommend 10x health. I'm 56 and I saw Gary on Rogan and his advice and supplement recommendations have changed my health for the better. Gary basically saved Dana White's life and has probably added ten years to my life. Listen and learn,Gary really knows what your doctors don't.
Alcohol and drugs are short term solution that just make you feel worse down the line. Exercise, fasting and mostly whole and variety of food works best for me, and sometimes it’s okay to have a treat.
I had an experience while smoking being in the creative state that I most often can get to, I realized my negative mindset is a battle in between great creations. Wayne Dyer wrote about his decision to be completely sober when he moved to a higher level in his life.
With the weed it's everything in moderation, people forget it's a sacred plant with a lightness (CBD) and darkness (THC) to it, it has to be respected not abused
This video is a gem! The way it dives into the subject is both entertaining and enlightening. Thumbs up to the creator for making learning so enjoyable
He is very knowledgeable. I have been down this road of MTHFR and comp gene mutations. My son has both genes and epilepsy and my husband and I are helping him more than his neurologist . Hoping to get him off meds
Epilepsy is helped with medications, please don’t make your son suffer because you don’t want him on medications. It’s not ideal to have to take medications but such is life, sometimes there is no way around it. We are imperfect beings with sickness. This guy is a fake, not a doctor. He is a scammer who has learned most his information off TH-cam, just like the rest of us. What he says is a composite of a lot of different TH-camrs, and medically he has given the wrong definitions. Please be aware! He just says he spent most of his 40 years wanting to be wealthy, this is his scammy way in. I don’t understand what people see in this guy, he is full of bs. Be careful!
Nothing helped my lifelong anxiety more than healing my gut, quitting ultra processed foods + most grains, and getting more sleep. Testing my blood sugar daily was a game changer, as well. I had no idea how insulin resistant I truly was. I've been a batefoot weirdo my whole life, so that wasn't what was missing. I've believed I have MTHFR for many years, but haven't ever done the expensive testing to comfirm. Being a redhead, I already know I def have odd genetics. 😅 Unfortunately, folic acid is in nearly everything that comes from a package. I think this contributes to the huge change people experience when they cut ultra processed foods. Not only are they avoiding the seed oils, sugars, and soy, but they're no longer constantly taking in folic acid.
I do not want to watch this video because it's going to tell me exactly what I don't want to hear. I'm living in denial and I know it. I wonder what would happen if I stopped. Maybe I'll watch it after all.
44:50 - Spoiler alert : Not saying this info is not valuable, but you've heard it all from Wim Hof, Andrew Huberman and others. It's all about ordering Gary's genetic test and supplements. The stuff he expands liberally on is all the stuff he cannot charge for : sunlight, breathwork, earthing. Gary says early on that he is all about whole foods over supplementation, yet he seems almost conscientiously to toss out chemistry terminology - words you are expected not to understand - Don't want to jump to conclusions, but every example focuses on supplementation of *specific molecules*. But wait - I thought he were all about whole foods and BASIC supplementation??!? Tom jumps in and mentions how he does NOT supplement - he favors FOOD - but concedes he did try a methylated multi after hearing about it from Gary. EVEN HERE, Gary dodges expanding that conversation. Plus he keeps coming back to genetic testing to see how you are deficient. My sense at 49:00 was this is probably all circling around to selling a genetic test and maybe custom supplementation - in stark contrast to the purported focus on whole foods. Then, I google the guy and go to his website/s. OMG!!!! Genetic Tests and custom supplementation! By 1:09:00 it had settled into the expected pattern : whatever Tom talks about, Gary's going to circle it back to needing a gene test. This is where I stopped the video. And this kind of sums it up. The useful information in this entire video could easily be a 3 minute tiktok.
@vthomas375 I have no issue with the guy making a living, but I get a bit snarky when these guys use obvious manipulation tactics to get you off guard and set you up for an obvious pitch you could see coming from a mile away. Frankly I think Tom is better than this but of course he has to keep a slate of guests lined up
Gary did say you don't have to go through him and spelled out every possible way for you to do this on your own. He is there to teach/inform what he offers and yes to SELL his product. Now quit whining and research the topics, improve your life
I just time traveled. That was the longest podcast I've ever listened to and it only felt like an hour. Great information, however I noticed you mention a lot about food that seemed incorrect to me. Please consider having a guest like Joel Salatin on to elaborate on these topics!
"Green Dragon tincture" Decarb the reefers in the oven. Mix with 151 proof or higher hooch, shake it up a bit, wait a bit, shake a bit, wait a bit...strain it & add sugar of your choice. It's a thing, pretty awesome, but don't take my word for it, ask the Googles.
The part about light not being prime conditioner of sleepcycle makes me want to see Huberman sit and discuss with this guy. How has this form of podcast-debate not formed yet?
Is it just me, or does Tom just have guests on for his own personal therapy-to listen to him rant for 90% of the show and then give him validating yes or no answers, because that’s all there’s really time for?
Came to the comments because I thought I was the only one. Tom needs to take a step back and listen to the experts and not chime as much. He arguably doesn’t look healthy at all either
I love watching this but I don’t have so much time available. Would you guys give us a list of topics of what it’s going to be covered on your sections?
This guy changed my life!!! I tried L-Methylfolate after this guy recommended everyone at least try it. All of my symptoms disappeared THAT DAY!!!! I could not believe how deficient I must have been!
@@michaelholmes8848 I don’t blame you for not believing it. I wouldn’t either. I think I’m in the genetic group he’s speaking of that is severely deficient in folate. I gave bottles to my whole family. Almost everyone said they felt 100X better. I’m not saying it will work for everyone but it worked for me and my family, and fast!
box hold breathing . in yoga we call it square breath . Gary in my teacher training with Denise Payne Yoga , In one month, I got up to 10 second square breath . The caution is not jack up your nervous system too much , so best to train under a good teacher first .
I can agree about sugar and alcohol, but after discovering weed at the age of 40 I found that I enjoy my life a lot more.Since I was never happy before it makes it pretty important to me. I have more patients with people, I actually achieve more I am far more creative at problem solving and have a longer attention span to finish projects. Weed might not be for everyone but If you never tried it you have no right to dis it. I have experimentally quit it for months on end several times to compare life's benefits with or without it. I love it and I will be a closet stoner for life.
I think there are outliers. It isn't as simple as good and bad. It largely depends on context and person. How it is used, when, etc. Glad it works for you. Also remember, you are an outlier. You are not the majority.
Weed and drugs overall are much better than eating processed foods. I smoke weed all day yet i'm not depressed, very healthy, extremely fit, weiner works great at 53...I'm only here because I feel SO BAD for gen-z males..they seem to have internalized the angst of conservative old men like jordan peterson and thomas sewell..at sixteen years old!
I was raised by a mother that fed me out of a box. Now at 50 I have finally learned to cook and try to eat well my body feels so much better. My energy, aches and pains are significantly better. I often wondered if my diet was really the source of all my health problems. I was a soda pop fiend and I really noticed a difference in digestion and overall better feeling since I quit. Now I don't even like soda it tastes like battery acid to me, I dont know how my body tolerated it all those years.@@stoneneils
Why do you have intelligent people on and make the show all about you? Let them talk. We do not care what you think. My suggestion would be to go for lunch first and tell him about your problems and then have the interview. That is what Joe Rogen does. To prove my point, just record your next doctors appointment and see how many people watch it. I feel so bad for Gary, All the ting he wanted to say and you didn't let him talk. I care about you just as much as you care about me.

I quit drinking two years ago February 11th. Best thing I’ve ever done for my mental and physical and emotional health. Just wish I’d done it sooner.
Happy 3 year alcohol free anniversary🎉

Wonderful video and wonderful guest.
I quit smoking marijuana and drinking here in Vegas which wasn’t just a daily thing, but a 8am-9pm thing for me.
I actually became a born again believer here in Vegas, and through the struggles with my addictions, I was able to to overcome those issues, and am bringing a product to market early next year which is in manufacturing now. I write provisional patent applications almost weekly.
Thank you for the insights and encouragement. I hope and pray many other people break those cycles because there is so much more life waiting for them.
God Bless you both fully.
Looks like God can bring some order in life
Cannabis is not the problem and is nothing like drinking alcohol.
@@GalactusOG agreed, but it's got a whole set of different problems.

Bi polar

There are countless ways to tweak and improve different aspects of your life. What I do is zero in on the top 5 elements that really drive results in any given area. Gary gained a fan, Tom was obnoxious and self-absorbed. Tom actually made it difficult to get through the podcast but Gary handled him like a champ.

Be well.
There is another F always left off the list. Probably cos I made it up. It's the fuckwit response. Always one of them in an emergency...

It turned into inquisitive student/teacher instead of interview for a bit. Good for Tom for taking the opportunity to learn it.

Unfortunately, folic acid is in nearly everything that comes from a package. I think this contributes to the huge change people experience when they cut ultra processed foods. Not only are they avoiding the seed oils, sugars, and soy, but they're no longer constantly taking in folic acid.

This show was amazing thankyou!!!!
Somebody's possibly on the make again in America? lol
@vthomas375 I have no issue with the guy making a living, but I get a bit snarky when these guys use obvious manipulation tactics to get you off guard and set you up for an obvious pitch you could see coming from a mile away. Gary did say you don't have to go through him and spelled out every possible way for you to do this on your own. He is there to teach/inform what he offers and yes to SELL his product. Now quit whining and research the topics, improve your life

It's a thing, pretty awesome, but don't take my word for it, ask the Googles.
Gary Brecka sounds like Saul Goodman if you close your eyes
The part about light not being prime conditioner of sleepcycle makes me want to see Huberman sit and discuss with this guy. How has this form of podcast-debate not formed yet?
Sparked up a backwoods for this incredible interview. Being stoned really helped me look at his points through a different light.
and then u forgot them
laughed too hard hahaha@@xIIxGOBLINxIIx
Awesome podcast :) Many thanks fellas.
Is it just me, or does Tom just have guests on for his own personal therapy-to listen to him rant for 90% of the show and then give him validating yes or no answers, because that’s all there’s really time for?
Tom is a miserable atheist..he is a lost child tbh
Well, that and ad revenue.
Came to the comments because I thought I was the only one. Tom needs to take a step back and listen to the experts and not chime as much. He arguably doesn’t look healthy at all either
Totally agree on this one. He simply won't let the person speak and sometimes it does get fairly annoying.
@@H1tter I had to rewind the part where he says he drinks half a diet coke on saturday and sunday...
Amazing episode full of eye opening knowledge.
Can’t get enough of this info!
Insightful stuff 👍
Damn he doesn’t let Gary finish thoughts or sentences
I love watching this but I don’t have so much time available. Would you guys give us a list of topics of what it’s going to be covered on your sections?
Time stamps?
This guy changed my life!!!
I tried L-Methylfolate after this guy recommended everyone at least try it. All of my symptoms disappeared THAT DAY!!!! I could not believe how deficient I must have been!
What brand did you use to supplement with L-Methylfolate?
@@sandraohlund9584 “Triquertra” Liquid Organic.
@@sandraohlund9584Gary has his own but also says pure encapsulations and Thorne are good Brands I use b complex plus by pure encapsulations
All your symptoms disappeared that day….yeah right
@@michaelholmes8848 I don’t blame you for not believing it.
I am also a stoner for life. I like weed in small amounts. I smoke 1 or 2 bong rips (normally 1) fri, sat, sun night. Homegrown.

Its because you have demons...
If you want a morning routine GET A DOG and be a good dog owner!
Love you both Gary and Tom :)
Not so great in places with brutal winters, lol, but I get your point. :)
