Daud's wristbow also has a backstab animation. If you backstab an enemy while you have regular bolts equiped he will sometimes shoot them with the wristbow instead.
I don't know why but I really enjoyed using the pistol in Dishonored 1 but just straight up disliked it in 2, maybe it was the way the muzzle flash worked, or I'm just stupid, but medium to long range shots even when upgraded just did not feel right, in DH1 though, that thing could make insane shots wheras 2 feels more like a shotgun
Do agree. It is technically a better designed weapon, with consistent spread and not as abuseable long range, but it does really feel off, not like a gun, but some weird retrofuturistic stone thrower.
I came here cause I lost my gear and I was too lazy to go all the way there AND save my game, so I continued until I started to miss my crossbow, then I realized I wouldn't get it anywhere else. Shit.
Yeah it's quite a big decision to not get your gear, the first time I played I went all the way to dauds hideout before turning back just for my upgraded pistol

I really wish they'd let you use the bow and arrows those guys on stilts used.
Tallboys bows are as big as the person using them. Not exactly practical for sneaking.

totally agree, I wasn't a fan of the scope bolted on top either, though the design of Emily's gun is pretty sweet
