Some of these differences are actually detected/undetected. The ‘unknown assailant’ on the posters lasts as long as you don’t get spotted at all. For the Lord Regent’s Zoom call, he comes downstairs if you haven’t spotted in that mission in the outdoors section.

I remember branding Campbell, the Pendleton's, kidnapping Sokolov and Boyle and signing Corvos name at the Boyle party, which was HILARIOUS and insulting. There was a note from Captain Tobias to Regent Burrows, they were pretty sure it was a messed up joke or actually Corvo. It might contribute to Chaos, not sure. I always will sign the Guest list though just to be mean.

I think I read a fanfic where there was a short excerpt from Daud's perspective
He got told by his servant that Corvo had been half poisoned, stripped of his weapons, bound hand and foot, and still got away
Kind of like what we hear in the game
And he sighed, told them to leave, and sat down in a chair to reflect for a moment
He felt a knife poke in his back, instantly knew it wasn't a blade the assassins normally use, and 'took it for the message that it was'.
I thought it was an awesome touch
Not only did Corvo sneak past and do everything he did in game, but he left some sort of knife there specifically for Daud - not to kill, from what I interpreted, just as a warning XD

Corvo is a great bodyguard though. He canonically fought and won against multiple assassins until they pulled Void Powers. Unless you are a specially equipped overseer or another Void power user, you don't have a chance against those. After he gets his mark, he is also canonically stronger than Daud and all the assassins.

When the assassin talks to Daud about Corvo escaping, the dialogue also changes if Corvo doesn't kill anyone but gets detected, so there are 3 possible dialogues there between Daud and the assassin
Also, if you get the low chaos ending but kill Calista (you kill her yourself) the game won't fail, it will continue as normal and in the end when Calista would be hugging her uncle will change to Cecilia hugging someone, most likely her sister. If you kill both Calista and Cecilia it will show a random citizen hugging another random citizen
Also also, if in low chaos you kill either Piero or Sokolov the elixir that saves everyone from the plague will never exist so the last images will be of high chaos but the Outsider will narrate as if it was low chaos

the building becoming full of weepers is legit the most shocked I was in my high chaos playthrough. mostly cuz I was hoping i'd hear dialogue that makes them seem even MORE on edge lol
my favorite part about this game was definitely the stuff you hear people say, like in the campbell mission where two overseers kill that third dude who was sick. I didnt get to see that one until I did my first ghost playthrough after nearly 80 hours of playtime

    Tips for true pacifist runners.
Always talk with lord Pendleton after dealing with his brother and check near your bed. You’ll get a rune and some cash.
Just like with Pendleton, you’ll find a time next to your bed for taking care of lady Boyle, and it’s from her sisters no less, but you have to sign the guest book so they know exactly who to send it to and exactly who had so many chances to make it their last night alive while also figuring out which Boyle was which.

It actually suits the playstyles of the player. In the low chaos there are less enemies and people are more relaxed, which is advantageous for ghost style. In high chaos there are more rats, weepers, enemies are more intense, which is actually good for players who wants high body counts.

I hated Havelock since then, the power hungry bastard betrays Corvo no matter how low or high his chaos is
With over 1,330 hours playing Dishonored, I always suspected that Havelock was up to no good while I was away on missions like abducting Sokolov, giving Lady Boyle to her lover or exposing Hiram for the shitshow he caused during his time as the Lord Regent

You're kidding me right? 😂 Havelock and the rest of the Loyalist Conspiracy (except for Samuel, Callista, Piero) definitely gave off a "will betray you after you've done our dirty work" lol
You can see it from their way their character model looks and also the plot where a party helps you dethrone someone else only to end up taking their place and betraying you is so cliché I'm surprised people didn't see it coming 😅 Still Dishonored gamewise and storywise are one of my favourites.

I always kill Samuel on high chaos, considering he has the plague it is a much more kind fate than slowly degrading & becoming a weeper, he's far too good a man to deserve that kind of suffering.
Sokolov's test subject is another instant mercy kill for me too.
I was actually so damn confused the first time I'd made it to kingsparrow island on low chaos to see it was a bright, beautiful day, as in the 11 years that this game has been out I had never once beaten it on low chaos until like a week and a half ago.
btw some of the wanted posters actually have to do with stage detection's, if you are never spotted nobody actually knows about the masked felon 'cause nobody has ever seen Corvo running around in his mask.
so many little details here & there that I'd just never paid attention to until rather recently.

The best thing about that scene on high chaos is that it isn't a cut scene, so if you have good reflexes (or have watched the video and know what's coming), you can hinder him to get the warning shot off by silently shooting him with your crossbow. The ending will also change slightly based on whether you killed him or not.

Good cuz I was going to when I become Empress." or something similar to that. Didn't really expect it at that moment and it caught me off guard
    2. Samuel telling me how bad I am and using that warning shot really made me feel truly bad for a moment because of everything I've done

On my high chaos run I still did much stealthing and didn't rampage through everything. So it was still the high chaos finale, but Samuel didn't alert the guards. He chased me off his boat and wasn't too friendly about it but he still didn't tell me I was the worst of the bunch and also didn't alert the guards.

It is humblingly great despite or even because of its focus on few aspects, rather than the sequel that feels bloated and disjointed.
It really is a simple game, but it's executed almost masterfully.
Only objectively bad thing is the pacing after Daud captures you ... it fixes itbwhen you finish that level, but that section is the worst in the entire game in my opinion.

Yeah and by far. From the design of the map to its areas to those annoying plant (?) motherfuckers that shoot their acidic cum at you everything is so annoying in that level.

Problem with the flooded district is in every other mission there are so many alternate paths but the flooded district, specifically dauds base has only one entrance.

I like the sequel a lot better. The world just felt more flavorful. Everything in Dishonored just felt like "Blah blah blah, look at me, I'm a fantasy world"

Why does tragedy make Emily a better artist...?
Actually, scratch that, it makes perfect sense

There's actually 3 differences for Samuel in the lighthouse mission.
The one not seen in this is where Samuel dislikes you for the amount of people you killed but except he won't rat you out.

1:13 wait, Emily wrote daddy on top of Corvo's drawing? This is probably not intended. According to the lore Emily doesn't know that Corvo is her father in the first game, Calista in hound pits will hesitantly ask you about rumours about Corvo and the empress if you speak with her before any mission at the beginning.

I never do the "bad" run in any game, even if I might want to. I just can't bring myself to do it, and I don't replay games so I really appreciate these types of videos.

I actually prefer how grim high chaos makes the mood of this game, although if I were to choose a canon play through it’d probably be low chaos but kill most of the targets.

I’m not good enough at this game or the second one to do low chaos so it’s cool to see the low chaos changes.

When I confronted daud I just ran past everyone and attacked him because he sends everyone away. I spared him and I didn't have to attack anyone or even attempt stealth lol

I think in terms of questioning “canon” it’s intentionally vague.
But I think Corvo tore his way to the Golden Cat but did low chaos everywhere else.
We do see High Chaos drawings in Emily’s Safe Room at the start of Dishonored 2, but we also see the “Daddy” drawing in _Corvo’s_ room in low chaos as well.
Corvo has a minimum of 6 canonical kills as you must kill Whalers in the start of Dishonored and he kills 3 traitors at the start of Dishonored 2.
I very much disagree with the pacifist purists who think Corvo would never kill anyone.
The FIRST thing we do is play hide and seek with Emily (establishing their bond) and the SECOND thing we do is kill assassins.
He does kill, but I think _low_ chaos is canonical for Dishonored and an Emily Low Chaos is canon for Dishonored 2.
