The issue is that when some people say the Faroese way of harvesting of pilot whales is a tradition, many ill informed misinterpretative it as if the faroes do it just because its a tradition. Thats a misunderstanding. Its solely done because its free food. Its very quick and quite painless. They have to be specially trained before they can do the actual killing. They do not outsource the meat. Hunting has never been a pretty sight. Here its just about SS feelings, and not about facts. I love whales, but people also has to live, and most of us live of meat. If its sustainable, as this is, I have no problem with it.
