Living off grid and running house on a 2000 3 one in 20 years
    Change oil every 50 hrs..
a video on how to extract the oil without a fancy smancy device would have been informative.
This is a video of a guy playing with his toys.

Thanks for the video. Do you have a video on how to install that hour meter device you have set up?

Why not just turn it on its side over a $10 oil pan.
At Tractor Supply they have a hand suction device for $15 the size of a grease gun. Same device farmers have used for decades to suction out old oil and stuff. I would bet it would hold all the oil in the Honda with room left over.
Either one is cheaper than the Harbor Freight device many times over and neither requires an air compressor.

I put my HONDA eu2200i on a workbench then tilt it to drain oil in container. Very easy process.

Instead of that aluminum oil drain extension, you can buy a plastic oil drain extension from Amazon that screws into the drain and allows for easy draining of the oil with no mess and no need to tip the generator so far over. I keep a 13 ounce container of oil for refilling the crankcase on my Aldi Workzone (Yamaha clone).

Ohh, definitely, thanks. Plastic much safer for the threads. 🤔It's crazy idea this guy thinks everyone can afford his 150 dollar oil extraction gadget. 🙄 What a nuisance especially when going camping to have to lug around a compressor and oil extraction tank. 😂

Not a bad tutorial on the EU oil change. However, removing the oil by vacuuming it out is not the preferred way as your not assured of picking up potential metal shavings that might be left in the crankcase. Dumping the oil out doesn't guarantee it either, but there is a greater chance it will remove more shavings than removing the oil demonstrated here. I would recommend anyone changing the break in oil, i.e. the first oil change, to at least dump this oil out before resorting to pumping or vacuuming the oil out, to help eliminate any metal shavings left in the crankcase during break in.
