I have both the eu2000i and the eu2200i. I do not have the Bluetooth or CO detector or either of them. I really don't want those options. They run quietly and efficient for over 8 hours of less than a gallon of gas. Had both for many years. Never had any issues at all with them. I do take care of my generators and store them completely free of gas. I use whenever we have power outrages due to Hurricane in Florida. I had them run for three weeks almost non stop.

I agree with you about the Bluetooth and CO detector, not Necessary on a generator just one more thing to break. But for what it’s worth I did watch a video of a guy that unplugged the CO detector because it does say it’s serviceable and the last thing you want in a power outage is for that thing to break and not have power. When he did unplug it the generator did still running produce power so it can be bypassed

+1. I recently bought a Honda EU2200 for use during a power outage at home to power a fridge and freezer (at different times) as well as some lights, a TV and laptop computer. I don't need Bluetooth and CO detection as it will be outside away from windows and vents.

Great info! I have the same model! I wish there was a fuel cut-off though... Thanks!

I'd design my own fuel cutoff switch for that. How hard can it be. Running carb dry everytime is best way.

Can you measure the voltage coming out? I get 19.7 on eco and 27 on full rev. Thx

The engine is larger, the front panel has more vent holes for better cooling, the oil fill spout and gutter are larger. It would be nice to have the bluetooth I had hoped they would put a fuel gauge on the generator. I know the inrush and running wattage of each device that I use, the bluetooth is not that important. I have the Eu2200i without bluetooth and I would rather have the 12 vdc than a bluetooth. The CO Minder is not very expensive and it can be removed and the machine will still operate. On Honda's website they are still selling both units with the CO unit costing $60 more. It will not be long until this is the only unit available is my best guess. It seems like Honda marketed the new unit because of competition and knowing how we like are toys.

Do you think the 12v power is clean enough to run 12v accessories, and if not would a regulator/rectifier clean it up enough? Thanks

I have tested the ac power and the voltage and hertz were spot on. As far as know the 12 volt is only designed for charging batteries.

Hear! Hear! I have been harping about Honda and the CO-Minder and Bluetooth so-called "Features", for months as both add nothing to the actual real-life usefulness of a generator and certainly are a huge negative when it comes to reliability. Honda is absolutely going in the WRONG direction. I managed to snatch (2) non-Co Minder eu2200is just after I heard about it back in the summer. I already had (2) eu2000is but when the eu2200i came out a few years ago, I wanted to eventually get one (or 2) but when the news broke on the Co-Minder and bluetooth (it is so much a joke - BLUETOOTH? on a generator!) I said to myself, it is now or never... BTW: Honda could have made one simple improvement to both the eu2000i and eu2200i and it would not cost much, but would be very useful... A gas cap with a fuel gauge built in. Oh, and taking away the 12volt receptacle... What's with that Honda? You still had enough space on the panel even with the useless CO-Minder but axed it anyway. That move saved Honda $3 (maybe) and they still raise the cost by $100 for the CO-Minder version... All you need is to have your generator running and have some punk nextdoor or a few doors down turning your generator off with bluetooth... Final BTW: You can disable the CO-Minder "feature" by unplugging the electrical connector to it behind the panel, but unfortunately, for the bluetooth there is no known way to disable it.
