Been a fan since 1978, I am 60 now and wish music like this was being created by more artists. Absolutely fantastic live performance.
I believe this is the strongest song of Toto, I mean yeah Africa is well known and all but this has so much power and energy and Steve Lukather solo is so good, he is an incredible guitarist
100% true. Africa and rossana are good but nothing sets my pulse racing like hold the line.
Bobby Kimball was needed for this Song, but Sadly his Voice is Gone now.
I'll take any song on Kingdom of Desire over Africa. Rosanna is great too and Hold the Line is a banger.
But Kingdom of Desire always gets overlooked. It is SUCH a good album. I listen to on a regular basis

RIP Jeff Porcaro, 1954 -1992. What a great drummer. His body of work is prolific. Steve Lukather is a legend.
Drummers lost a master in 1992. I use Paiste cymbals partially because of Jeff.

Lukather is a living treasure. An absolutely brilliant guitarist not to mention his arrangements and jazz compositions. He is quite frankly one of the most gifted and underrated people in the history of rock music and that's just part of his songbook.
Worked on many a Michael Jackson album, asked by Quincy Jones himself.

steve lukather is just incredibly underrated in general. the man is an absolute fucking monster -- one of the all-time greats for sure. he's shreddy but it's not just the generic, "i run up the scale, then back down it" kind of shred trap most modern guitarists find themselves stuck in.
