This band has probably the most impressive sound-configuration of any live-bands that I have ever heard/watched. The production of the stage sound focuses on QUALITY rather than quantity/loudness. And it's NOT only for a certain part of the audience .. but for ALL the arena. Trust me .. this is what it sounds for the audience . it is NOT amplified/cleaned/filtered in any way. Simon Philips on the drums is a magician .. and with Joseph Williams on the microphone ... Toto has it all.
Toto are pretty loud tho. I have seen them multiple times, if the venue has sub-optimal sound, their sound suffers. One of the few bands I had to use earplugs once on an open air. Musically they are still absolute session musicians (just to make clear I'm not trying to take anything away from them!). And one time I've seen them in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart couple of years ago, a rather small but modern venue, the sound was really, really good. I still remember Steve's guitar work on While My Guitar Gently Weeps, it was crystal clear.
Dee Velasco, lots of masterpieces come from 70's and 80's music when it comes to rock & roll (hard, metal, progressive), hope you enjoy, like you said, that is real music. Try Styx, Rainbow, Rush, Foreigner, Heart among others.... God bless

@@ragerelease613 for me is the problem to fit the Bo Didley kick in smoothly. We drummer have it easy as long it doesn't come to get 4 limps syncopated. Or even Latin stuff with slight variation in sixteens notes. Or Indien grooves. I guess those Drummers the can master and combine those Styles to help a Song are happy People.

I will always say it is one of the most complete songs, ever made, it is perfect, it has magnificent lyrics and the best the music is electrifying and full of pure energy, it is fantastic.

It's one of life's beauties how music can profoundly impact different people, at different times, in different ways. Not quite a year since she went away, Rosanna Now she's gone and I have to say Meet you all the way, meet you all the way My sister died in 2011. I had an abusive father and a depressed mother growing up. She supported me amidst that. She was willing to meet me all the way emotionally and she unfortunately went away in the mean time. I had a watershed moment tonight and poured my eyes out listening to this song. Really beautiful and cathartic.
Lukather is an awesome guitarist. I first heard him as a session guitarist on some Richard Marx album in early, late 90s and knew he was a gun player. It's a shame the G3 concert tour with Satriani et al didn't record that tour with Lukather for a BluRay release, because Lukather could totally hold his own amongst almost any modern player.
