Very informative video. The OBD reader safe is particularly nifty. Thanks for sharing.

Hi might be wrong but Im pretty sure you only need to fit the anti drill plate on door handles with a key hole as it is the manually key locking mechanism that they are trying to flip with a screwdriver when they punch through. Also great tip on the obd reader i have just purchased and fitted one . Works a treat. Bit pricey for a tiny safe😂 but worth every penny if it slows the low life thieves 😊

My van is so old it doesn't even have an OBD port, but it would be funny to install a fake one, because the fun a wouldbe criminal would have trying to get it to connect! 🤭

Never knew about the obd protector. But adding a capacitor after a diode should fry there obd reader aha.

Hi great video. Thanks for sharing. Can you advise if the OBD port safe that you fitted comes with the relocation mounting bracket that we saw in your video or did you make the bracket? Keep up the great work 👍

Why do you need a OBD safe again ? Can criminals use your OBD ?

Apparantly a thief can override the transponder chip and drive away. An alternative is to relocate the OBD and fit a fake one in its place.

@@peterstreet4430 what about the ignition key? Steering lock? They have nothing to do with OBD.

@@gbwildlifeuk8269 I’m no expert but back in the days before transponder chips it was a simple matter to pop the ignition barrel out with a screwdriver and then turn the ignition switch with said screwdriver to release the steering lock and start the car. Cars with keyless ignition would not have this issue.
