Thanks 👍It was a bit of a struggle with the restricted access - I have to re-visit the door panel as I could not get the clip fixings from out of the door with the plastic trim removers so ordered a metal trim remover to hopefully remove & refit the door panel correctly
Good job Andrew,as a retired hgv mechanic i have always said why don't manufactures make bigger holes in door panels 👍
Hi John, yes a little bit restricted but got there in the end, I will have to revisit once I get a metal trim tool to remove plastic clips & fit them back into the door panel, I dont know why van manufacturers haven't done something better themselves to make it harder for the thief to get lnto the van, once I got the handle off I could see how easily they could unlock the van without a key, I watched Happy Travellers video & how easy the thief broke into there van while asleep, so any deterant is better than none in my eyes 👍😁

At 1:20 you also show a second bent U shaped plate, but I could not see that fitted. Did you fit that part?
One big advantage of these plates over internal devices is that they are visible deterrent and they won't try. With internal locks, they still damage the door, then find they cannot get in.
Hi Simon, yes it was a struggle but managed it, but that was after I took the footage, yes this is a visible deterant, thanks for watching👍😁
I just fitted the a pro plate for the rear doors which was super easy. I have also installed a pro plate on the passenger door but had to abandon until tomorrow. Reinstalling seems relatively easy but I am currently stuck on putting that fabric backed carboard, how the hell do you slot them back in to the unusually shaped plug clips. Any tips or tricks on how that part goes back on? I am guessing you had problems trying to take them off. All i did so far was try to rotate them all in the exact same direction hoping that I can slide and drop back in to them. Man it seems a struggle.
It's a pig of a job, I had to buy a metal trim remover to get those clips out, it's jus a case of persevering, I had them at an slight angle & twisted them back in 👍😁
Andrew & Karen's Adventures I think this will be a long day for me. Everything else is simple, it's just this part. The wholes in your cardboard look better state than what mine are in so we will see
That was quite fiddly in places and micro work space...lol. Don't think we would attempt it but well done you and TFS.

Yes seen a video how easy it is to place a rod behind rubber seal between handle &door and push up lock linkage, even if alarm is on its not triggered, got mine off EBay comes with all instructions 👍
And now after all that you are caravanners! I wonder with all that flaffing about it might have been an idea to add soundproofing. Just a thought....
Probably but not much space, yes I know Gadget John has done it but looked a faf to do, Not a problem now as we have handed over MH & money in bank 👍
Did these plates originate from Garrison through eBay?
Did you remove the Remus blinds and if so can you please detail this procedure?
Did you use a door panel removal tool to ease out the clips?

I did not want to do a full how to video, it was just to show people what I had bought &rughly how I went about it.
Wish I had removed blind as I broke off a locking tab - I think if you search Remis blinds on YT I'm sure it will come up with a video of how to fit / remove the blinds.
R.E Door panel as explained in video I had to re-visit it, strip door again once I had bought the correct tool to remove the clips & put back onto the door panel so now all OK

Tyou for prompt and most useful reply. May I pose one further question please: you only fitted the plate to one door, ie, the door with the keyhole so is the lock on the other door safe from an intruder?
You should have watched the happy travelers video. I think he did both doors as they were broken into in France
Hi Bob - I did watch it 👍As I understand they can only break into the side with the keylock on so that's the reason I have only done that side 😁👍
The Happy Travellers didn’t fit the plates due to comms issues with the manufacturer!
Which website does it provide?
I bought it off Ebay, search Pro plate 👍
