- Thunderbolt deadlock system was an interesting system to add to my camper van, check out the video to see if its right for you. It rates in my top 5 security additions for my van.

Great idea to create a square hole. It worked for me.
For me you can’t beat the standard mechanical deadlocks, side door on yours turned out ok but that rear door would take 20 seconds to pry open the gap is far to big fella
The power point is a good point tbh if you lose power & have them all round well you see where this is going

1. Thunderbolt offers a "Raised Strike Bracket" that allows for installation of the lock case in the passenger side rear door making connecting the wires much easier. 2. They offer a keyed manual release in case the battery ever fails and there are a few other ways listed in the FAQs to solve that challenge. Cheers! 🚐

The hole in the rivet gun needs to be the exact size for the tail, or the river head as too long. The scissor jack type are the better one, just a little more cumbersome.

Cool. How do you get in you lose power or lose the key thob ?
It would be incredibly bad luck to lose all power as there is solar so my batteries would have to die, and the solar fuses trip but I don't have the locks on the driver and passenger door yet so I can get into through the front, if I add them to the front I would probably run those off the starter battery so they are powered by a different battery. If I lose the fob I have some spare keys.
What happens if they fail locked?
After watching the install and having a think about it. I like it. One door must have a mechanical deadlock in case of battery going flat, lost your key fob etc etc single point of failure. Maybe a key switch inside the nearsidecab door and that door with mechanical deadlock. Seriously thinking about fitting this to my van. Thanks.
yeah a good way to look at it! As I have the bulkhead doorway and no thunderbolts up front that is my back up way in
Couldnt a thief just break a window and hit the unlock button to get in?
Criminals peal the door open from the top so it is completely pointless! If they want to get in they will no problem.. You will just have more damage to put Wright if they don't actually drive it away and steal the whole van
True preventative measures probably end up causing more damage.
I work in a School cafeteria in Chicago and kids are mean an make fun of my Deformed face, WELL I get bak at them by Scratzing there Food withvmy dirty Fingernales.
Isn't all the foam risky upon fire 🔥🔥?? Why not use Kayflex ??
