It’s interesting to note that the GPS data compared to what the beemer was showing is almost spot on. Something rare for motorbikes. Keep up the great work as each video you are getting better. 👍😎🇦🇺

The Z is setup to be at 35% throttle at 11k+rpms in 6th gear, a reflash is extremely needed.

Yep. The dyno results for this bike are quite shocking when they are stock.
Great comparison video. Suspect the results would be in favour of the ZH2 if both bikes had throttle restrictions removed
but BMW is more agile :)
KRTC mode 2 neutered power in 1, 2, 3 and part of 4th. It's a biased evaluation.

Stock makes about 175 rwhp. Tuned stock exhaust Z H2s makes about ~200 rwhp. Put an exhaust on it and you can get 225+. Shit is crazy
Excellent video, there's another similar one on youtube of the H2 v the S1000RR where the RR demolishes the H2, the shift cam obviously makes a big difference as does a full fairing.

An H2 is a top pick for my next bike. It will then receive a Pentacarbon exhaust and tune from Brock. It has been mentioned here already but a tune is needed to bring up the power to Stupid Fast

Despite having more peak horsepower, and being supercharged, the ZH2 has little low end torque, is factory geared way to low and is top heavy . This makes it a challenge to produce exceptional results in a drag race or from a dead stop on the road.

@@stevesmith6236 It's just extremely restricted from the factory-like every h2 model. 1.2 gears are torque limited and the ecu stops producing power past 10k rpm. With a stock bike My best 1/4 mile was 10.4s
after I had brentune flash on mine and it was so insane that pretty much 1.2.3 gears were completely useless so I went with +2-2 to counteract that and Now I can do stable 9.7-9,8s in 1/4 miles.
@@Fearless154 At the time I bought mine (made the deal in Feb of 2020) and received it in May ( big delay due to Covid) and throughout my time owning it there were ZERO companies able to reflash it. So, gearing it taller and strapping down the front end my best stock was a 10.57. Best mph was 142.16. My former 2002 ZX12R was quicker with a best of 10.30. Brock produced some go quicker goodies for the ZH2 ( over time) but they were stupid expensive. The bike was a monster on the street from a 50 mph roll, but this wasn't enough excitement to keep me satisfied as I love to drag race. The bike was turning into a "money pit" quickly and being retired I saw no option but to get out from under while the bike had under 2K miles on it and there was a possible young buyer interested in it. I lost approx $5K !! I have since gone back to a simpler favorite bike of which was more to my liking as a great all around bike for cruising on a Sunday ride with buddies, top speed runs on the highway, and plenty quick at the drag strip. It's a very nice 2002 Honda CBR1100XX with only 5170 original miles n it. It has more top speed than the ZH2, is a bit quicker in the 1/4 mile, has a smoother engine ( by far) is just as rare to be seen on the road and cost 1/3rd the total price. Some times you shouldn't believe the hype or listen to your crotch when buying one of the new "kids on the block".

The bottom line is that they’re both completely stock and the BMW spanked it pretty well. Get over it, boys, the Germans have a reputation for extremely high-quality engineering and it’s completely well-deserved.
yep, what many not consider is that BMW has 40kg less weight. So the power to weight ratio is nearly the same. And at the BMW the launch control just worked better. I saw it also at the M1000RR.

Bmw K1300R naked bike 240kg : 0-100kmh in 2.9 sec factory (2,78 best time)
0-200kmh in 7.9 seconds, 270kmh top speed.

I saw a test on BMW S1000R that make 165hp on wheel and H2 loses 10-15hp and KTM Duke loses almost 20hp on the transmission to the backwheel

no, not really heavy. but you feel the difference to the BMW.
Im confused between Z1000R and Z H2. What do you suggest? I want to get Japanese bikes only.
I would say the Z1000R is far enough for country roads and it has less weight. The Z H2 I would say you only need for the German Autobahn :) And if you like to have something special like the supercharger.

I used the GPS from the Gopro, verified with a Qstarz BL-1000GT. Maybe soon I will try the Dragy and Racebox.

I have a ZH2 and the launch control is not very effective. It limits all the way into 3rd gear, you can launch way harder without.

The numerical power of zh2 is false. It's only 6km faster than s1000r. It's disappointing.
maybe it's restricted in topspeed.
S1000r is set in dynamic pro mode, ZH2 is set in KTRC level 2, should be in level 1 in order to be faster than S1000r.
Wrong zh2 is faster than the s1000r tested them both

Cute. KRTC 2 .... Welcome to self limiting the power of the Z H2 because rider doesn't understand how KRTC works....
This is more like S1000R vs 80%-90% power in 1st through 4th Z H2.
Run it again with KRTC off and you'll have different results.
