    Has anyone else noticed how great the Fender pedals sound? When I first saw that Fender was coming out with a new pedal line my brain said if they make guitars as great as Strat’s, Tele’s and Jazzmasters and their amps are classics as well...then their pedals should be amazing too. But I dismissed them and went for more established pedals when I made purchases. Now I’m regretting not going with my instinct. There’s a demo vid which showcases their MGT Tube Drive which sounds incredible

      @@robertjennings8723 you need to have someone a little more familiar with what shapes a sound and how a pedal interacts with that fiddling with these if you want an honest representation. This video was essentially "what pedals are good for specifically Rob Chapman when set to 12", but obviously it was just to showcase every pedal.
      Basically, you get Dan from That Pedal Show in Lee's seat and they would probably end up loving every one of these pedals.

      They did the Haunt pretty dirty. It's at its best with the mix knob moved to full. That and a little bit of its gate knob and most of the gain makes a super hellish fuzz. I don't think Rob would've liked it as an overall pedal for Dorje or Clockwork Wolf, but it's an incredible fuzz

    Gimme a a Blues Driver or some fairly common OD (an Xotic AC or BB would suffice), a Boss GE-7 and an EHX LBP-1 and you can approximate most drive/dist pedals.
    Won't get you into proper Fuzz/Muff territory but that's why RAT exists.
    That'll do pig, that'll do.

    Nitpicking here, I know, but I think Vemuram pedal is JOHN Shanks ODS-1, not to be confused with Josh Smith pedals they also have. But on the pedal it says only Shanks ODS-1.

      You should definitely check out That Pedal Show. No offense to Capt. and Chap but Mick and Dan don't just say yes or no, they completely explore each pedal and tell you why you may or may not like it and what you could do to like it more. They're much more familiar with pedals and amps and how they work. Not saying they're just better than this channel over all, they're just better with reviewing pedals.
      But definitely watch both channels.

    • @benedictul
      @benedictul 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, to be fair, it probably took them at least 3 hours to shoot this 1 hour long video, not to mention the video editing and audio post-processing, so that's a decent amount of man-hours. I dislike commercials interrupting content as much as the other guy, but then again you have the option of using an adblocker or taking it as is - sadly, nothing in life is free.

    It's so cool to see the Golden Plexi beat out several high end pedals. If only Tone City would fix the gain taper on it to have more adjustment in the low gain range, it would be perfect. It actually sounds fantastic set on low gain, but there's no range to fine tune it. Please fix this Tone City!

    That was a journey. Within a few seconds of hearing the Vemuram Shanks I was saying oh yeah that one, that sounds great. Then I saw it was $400 and had a sad. Then the Pugilist, which I have with the Fender pedal reviews here at Andertons bringing it to my attention, also hit top 3. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
