For me, DMU takes the cake. It combines the classic magic feel (bit like DOM), with infinite replayability (imo even more than MOM) thanks to 20 different draftable archetypes
So Arena formats for me somewhere along the lines:
DMU
BRO
KLD
NEO
MOM OR WAR
Kamigawa was my favorite. It's the only set I actaully felt like getting to mythic in. Never got tired of the set.
For me it's
1) Strixhaven
2) Brother's War
3) Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty
4) Dominaria
5) March of the Machines
Drafting the secret Sam Black Dimir Learning Curves guild on Strixhaven was just way too fun I love doing that so much.
I'd have same but swap bro and strix
Neo is one of my favourite draft formats of all time. Up there with triple Innistrad and the OG Ravnica block.
Strixhaven where great. The color balance in Dominaria United were great. NEO were good also
My top five is: 1. Kamigawa, 2. Theros, 3. MID, 4. STX and 5. Kaldheim.
MID was not per se a good set, but I finished the season as #11 and that was pretty cool.
Great list! I think I would swap out DOM for DMU, but my list looks very similar to yours. It's so hard to choose, as WotC has been putting out a lot of bangers these past five years!
Dom is muuuuch better imo.

I'd personally swap out lord of the rings for either dominaria united or kamigawa.
Strixhaven is an interesting one for me. I'd say it's gameplay is sort of the most repetitive if you draft it a lot. But it goes deep, and the good commons were really weird cards like the 1W tap 2 creatures, learn lesson card.

Oof i hate both of these so much. I dont remember having less fun with drafts beside All Will Be One
NEO was mentioned but DMU just had aggro vs ramp so there wasnt much you could do

MoM is such a fun format, the aggro decks work really well, the control decks can combat them, bombs flying everywhere, just fun
I'm going to give a bump to Kaladesh and Innistrad Remastered as underrated sets. Maybe they shouldn't count as it's kind of a 2nd chance for WoTC to craft the limited, but they both really emphasized synergies (imo what can make you feel like you're "doing the thing" and often helps differentiate sets from each other) while still having very viable aggro decks.
Of the Standard sets, I'm going with DMU due to the relatively low bomb count, variety of color combinations that were viable (and considerations of when to draft lands), and basic but impactful synergy cards like the common cost reduction creatures.
Agree with LOTR as my #1 and MOM as #2. Then swing it to NEO for #3. It’s been good on arena 😊

I had a very different experience with war of the spark. The way i could draft winning decks was "take every good card and hope it works". So basically i always ended up 4 or 5 colors, or I built a focused deck and lost miserably. Too much of a prince set.
ikoria still top for me, companions were so fun and gave a lot of unique decks you could draft in addition to all the cool ones you could draft already, menace or vigilance tribal is something we havent seen like in any other set and the flavour of the set was something i really loved aswell. While i had a lot of fun with march of the machines, the flavour there didnt really do it for me since it was just a mish mash of every magic setting.
I love shadows over innistrad. It's a grindy lowish powered set where cards like fevered visions can really shine.

Yeah, you could have some pretty cool synergies like the Delirium deck and the Spawning deck in Flashback week. Despite that, the removal is also significantly weaker than current sets (and a lot of it Sorcery Speed), so sometimes you can just put together Creature (like Lone Rider) + Aura which is still risky, but isn't just absolutely a terrible idea especially in Bo1 as compared to current sets. I think there's something to learn about not making removal as unconditional, cheap, and instant speed, though this has to balanced with the creature sizing too.

They must have paid a lot for the lord of the rings license because they have been pushing it like crazy, even to the point that has been the only option for quick draft for a month now and going. They even reneged on their announced event schedule for brothers war quick draft a couple of weeks ago and kept lotr. I'm personally only interested in standard so I'm going to wait till those sets are back in rotation and don't like wizards manipulating the player base to give them little to no choice other than lotr

WOTC might be doing a ton of things wrong these days but I got to give credit where credit is due. Outside of ONE and Capenna (in my opinion the worst set and draft format of all time) they have been putting out some real bangers in terms of limited the past few years
Why does everyone like Dominaria so much? It is one of the most boring sets to play, most commons are as vanilla as it gets, sinergies are basically non-existent (except for thallids which is just a boring tribal deck with all vanilla 1/1s and a couple uncommons that make it good) and it really feels like playing a core set.
Also, it's a format where who has the bombs wins, since commons suck so much. Good luck beating a Josu Vess with your vanilla creatures. Aggro being non-existent means you can't even go under bombs.
Am I the only one who doesnt think DMU is amazing? I think its decent and enjoyed it but its gimmicks have really worn off on me
He pays to play this game. What a waste of money. Nobody has 260 packs of midnight hunt.
Lsv crushed midnight hunt with blue black before most people found out how good it was. He got those packs winning friend
