Texture pool size info really helped me with Avatar, especially the comment about changing res in game and it being added to the vram pool size potentially choking it! Makes sense thanks matey :D
I just followed Lukes settings, I played with the resilution a bit, set to somethingblike 2480 or something, Im using HEVC codec in the Virtual Desktop streamer app, AV1 works worse for some reason but getting a pretty solid performance and it looks very nice. Thats on a RTX 3080ti
Hey, Brandon, could you please ask Luke to consider making a tab on his patreon page that lists all of the games his mod supports? I know there is one in the pinned welcome post for new subscribers, but only paid subscribers can see it. If we finish a game and decide to stop paying the monthly fee, we have no easy way of seeing what is new if we come back a few months later.
Yeah, I can. You can also find out pretty easy in the Flat2VR discord Luke Ross section. They will add a new channel there for each game and you can always just ask what is new with each update :)
Thx. Question. Is it the same way to just type in. _bak. In any of the mods/games. If you want to run a game in flat again. So they are not stuck at a vr mode. Or is complete uninstall and reinstall the best/stable way
I followed the tutorial to the detail, but I get the error "This folder does not seem to belong to any of the supported games. Please make sure that the mod zip archive is extracted to the very same folder where the main game executable is found, and not for example into a subfolder."
When I run the config as admin it says Mod installation files not found. When unzipping the mod archive, please make sure to overwrite existing files and to use folder names (preserve the zip folder structure).
I just emailed Luke to ask him to update it. It is supposed to get updated with each release version, but it hasn't yet. Sorry for the confusion. You can find the version for Indy attached to the Indy release post. Just double checked and the pinned post version says it is 16.2.1 which is the correct version. Is that the version you have?
Why does it look like im playing out a fishbowl and distorted. The mod always looks so bad and i give up even though im using a 4090 and now with dlsss, Am i doing something wrong, does it work with VD? why does it look so bad for me always, even on 4100 x 4100 pixels per eye?
yeah, like im genuinely wanting to know if maybe we doing something wrong. I remember playing cyberpunk before the UEVR mod came out and i don't remember it looking too bad. I saw a blog of guys with extreme differences of opinions with regard to the LR mod and it just got me wondering if we all actually seeing the same thing because as i say, cyberpunk was playable to me and now its not. Maybe we missing something other than the standard issue instructions we all fully aware of or have we just grown apart lol.
@@bratamic1 thing is theres so many differing opinions and so many settings you can change, from game, headset, vr software and pc that i forget what ive tried and what i havent.
I was able to get my experience much better by changing the runtime in the real vr user interface from automatic to openxr. Unfortunatly I probably still wont play the game like this because IMO its still not a great experience, especially with some of those cut scenes as mentioned in the video.
So far, it's just looking pretty ugly on my 7900xTX. I'll give it a shot at setting it up, but… Luke mods aren't for AMD users anymore, which is a bummer, considering they're paid regardless of whether you have Nvidia or AMD.
Well you likely ain't alone bro... I got a RX7900XT and will likely not be able to enjoy this vr mod because Luke doesn't like AMD and puts all his focus on nvidia only 🙄
@@m.v.3754 Yeah, I used to be a big fan of LukeRoss and a regular patron. But then, LukeRoss decided that since Nvidia is way more popular, all the features and support were only for them, and nothing for AMD. Meanwhile, AMD users were still paying him $10, you know? No way, Luke. Either release a decent product or say goodbye.
@@davidvincent380 I've seen people enjoying it on a 3080. Just depends on your expectations. If you want 4k high settings monitor quality, yeah, you need higher end hardware. 4080 would probably be a very solid experience. So maybe cut your figure in half at least. It's also more of a problem that the GPU market is a big mess right now. Nvidia needs to be knocked off their high horse.
Good stuff, buddy.
Keep'em coming! (the videos and the mods :D)

Thank you 🙏🏻. These kind of tutorials are exactly what I need

Great. Tx a lot! Very helpful. Indy is stellar in VR.
Thank you so much for this!
In the \\base\video\boot_sequence folder there is a file called boot_sequence_pc.bk2. Add .bak to the name to get rid of the intro annoyances.
Brandon nice work ty for helping.do you guys have mod for tomb raider
Legend for this video.....cookies for you!

Me too. Have you found a solution ??
@pyroblaze13 yes make sure change all the settings in the game according to their suggestions before running real config

not sure where to find the path for gamepass games though.

For most of them, that should be enough.
Thanks for the Mod! I tried on my 3060ti but im getting low fps.. I will wait for another gpu upgrade to play it. Thank you anyway

Same for me, im running a 4090, i got it running but it looks pretty shitty. makes me prefer top play the flat game with all visual bells and whistles

Yeah Lure Ross' mods are more or less clunky...

That would provably be why, 3060 definately won't cut it Im afraid
So forget it if you don't own a $2000 GPU...
