Terrain texture lod is similar to ue4/5 which calculates the distance higher quality lods start popping in. Lower values make the lod's pop in closer to the player which increases perf a bit but you can see the lower textured lod's much closer and the transition is more obvious being closer to the player. I've been tweaking the graphics config file too just like the old Dunia engine in some ways. The texture streaming cache does help a bit with perf though most of the biggies are in the game's main menu. You do get some serious frametime spikes in this game though. Fantastic overview scholar! This has been one of my fav experiences in VR to date, the immersion levels in this game really make a difference. The ambient sounds, the living forest and the sheer scale is super impressive! Going back to feed & pat my Ikran now :D Don't know why this game gets so much hate...

If you join, you get all the supported games in one file. The current mod version will work to install the mod for all supported titles. Just make sure your hardware is powerful enough for the experience you expect to have. Running a game like this in VR takes a lot of graphical power. There are some new additions like DLSSS for Nvidia GPUs so that's helps if you have one.
@ great. Thx. I have rtx 4070 and 10700k…. How about uninstalling the mod, is that straighforward? Or do i have to uninstal game completely? And finally. Does it work with all platforms. Steam/epic/Ubisoft/gog
@@joller79 uninstall is not straight forward but it is mostly a matter of just deleting the dxgi.dll file the mod creates. You may also need to rename the games original settings file back so it is recognized over the one the mod uses. If you use Vsync you will have to enable it in the games Nvidia profile as well. Depends on the game. For some, just renaming the dxgi file to something slightly different is enough to disable and jump back and forth.
It uses Vulkan, so he would have to port the framework over just for that game. He initially said it was too much work for just one game but has since said he may give it a shot. Because it is Indiana Jones :)
