    This came at the right time! I’m just 2 months off birth control and had my first proper period today! I read Beyond the Pill too and it’s such a good book to give insight to our bodies!

    I´m the opposite - I am literally LOVING being on bc and going off of it for 6 months not only made me miserable but also the heavy bleeding fucked up my body hard. I´m glad you´re finding what works for you tho!

    I’m currently on birth control and I’m struggling with the receding hair line in the exact same spot as yours. I’m legit spiraling. Did you use a topical treatment to grow it back? And after it’s grown back, have you stopped using the products for growth? Or have you noticed it falling back out after you’ve stopped using hair growth treatments?

    I’m very late to this. But I finally decided that I want to quit taking it. I’m 18 and I’ve moved out so it feels more like my choice. But I also hate how adults shame teenagers into taking the pill. I just want my body to do it’s natural thing. And I want to not worry about the affects of birth control. Luckily my boyfriend is being supportive. But I’m glad I found your videos. I can’t wait to see the changes I get from quitting.

    My coming off of birth control was similar. I got on it for many of the same reasons and at about the same age, when I went off I though it would cause the cramps to come back just as bad, but they were much more bearable even though my flow was heavy. I've heard that sometimes those bad cramps can just be because you're young and your body is still adjusting to the hormonal changes, even if you're a few years into having a period.

    • @KylaBeland
      @KylaBeland  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That could be true because since I came off I haven’t had horrible cramps like I did before the pill when I was younger. I had bad cramps like once since coming off but never since then. Good to know!!

    I'm 33 and went on bc 6 months ago for the first time ever (I was using condoms before) and recently stopped (currently on my last placebo week) because my hair thinned out SO much. I ended up doing blood tests and my iron and vitamin D levels were so low. I've been on supplements for 3 months and the intense hair shed has stopped but my hair is still thinner than ever. I hope officially coming off the pill will mean that my hair will regrow because this is just so hard on me mentally! Thanks for a great video !

      Yessss I experienced the same! I’m alittle over a year off and my hair is 10x thicker! Hang in there!

    I was on birth control for around 5 years, I got put on it really young (15, I’m now 20) for acne and was on it ever since. I’ve been off bc for a little over a month now and so far it’s been good! my face has just been more oily aha

    Thank you so much! I did decide to stay off the pill, I honestly didn't know anything about the pill when I went on it, I was 18 and just knew there was a magic pill that would make it so I wouldn't get pregnant. Well flash forward 5 years, I have been struggling with weight gain since starting the pill (not all of it the pills fault) but I have also been struggling to lose, I could eat perfectly clean and workout 4-5 times a week cardio and weight training and I would not lose any. This is when I began to wonder if my birth control was effecting that, I did research and learned about what this "magic pill" actually was doing inside my body and I was disgusted. I talked to my husband and he supported me getting off. I never started a new pack and have only been off the pill for about a week now (2 if you count the week of my period), we will see how it goes but I am ready to see my body for what it is and to finally remember who without the added hormones.

    I used to take BCpills for years because of my ance.
    I stopped 8 month ago and about 3 to 4 month ago all of my acne came back and I feel very insecure about myself that I made a desicion to go and start taking thr pills again (eith BCpills my skin was amazing) but I am afraid to go back because I know they are not healthy for you. What do you think I should do?

    Love your office!! I'm on the pill but afraid that if I get off it I would get pregnant 😔 Thankfully it's done nothing with my physical appearance but I'm really scared of what it's doing inside me. I plan on get off it someday, I really hope to find the courage to do it soon.

      Thank you!! And I thought the same thing but using non-hormonal birth control methods are SO worth it to avoid the negative side effects. Wishing you the best love!

    I workout twice a day, functional work out,HIIt, and weight, i workout 6 days per week, but some fat just don't go away, i workout since I was 18, I'm 24, back then when I didn't take BC, i was very fit , i still fit now but some fat in my body in certain aereas just don't go away, no matter if i do intermittent fasting, or if i consume less calories, so is definitely BC. I'm on the ideal weight for my age, height, but i want to lose more fat, maybe I'm just bloated, i just went off the pill yesterday
