    The libido thing is all too real, and should really be talked about more!!!! I was also very dry, and was just turned off by the thought of having sex. We went months without doing anything, and I was fine. I switched BC brands for mental health reasons, but my libido came back slightly. Definitely excited to get off birth control to feel like myself again. It's only been a year and a half, but I can feel how drastically it has changed my body

    I have been on the pill for 3 and a half years now (I have used it previously as well, in various occasions), and for me, the effect on my skin was totally different than yours - my skin has been super clear without acne (before the pill, I always suffered from acne). However, I can definitely confirm the mood swings, depressive thoughts and bloating. I will be coming off the pill soon!

    I was on birth control for 8 years I've been off for 2.5 months now and switched to a copper T ! The really bad side effects like migraines, IBS, bad mood swings, my gallbladder etc.. got really bad about a year ago and I really started to consider how bad it was for me. The biggest difference right now is the bloating, I look like a completely different person. I never even realized how swollen I was all the time, even my partner and family have told me I look different even though I haven't lost weight. I can't believe they're still prescribing this garbage to women. I was barely 17 and had no idea it was going to cause so much damage. I'm so glad so many women my age are saying no to this trash! 🙏🏻

    I can say for sure it caused me depression and anxiety, on a point where i have no energy to do the things i love to do, i feel so dawn , angry, moody, and apatic, lethargic, stressed, on a point where I'm struggling to get out of the house, or to work because of it, pannic attacks, very tired and exhausted! I'm off the pill 2 day now, I've been praying to God set me free from it, for a while, and about tree months I've been feeling like a feeling of quitting BC, and then Sunday i woke up so sick, as usual due to the bc, sometimes i puke, because the nausea makes me really sick, i hate it, reflux, and stomachache, so i said, I'm done God, i took my patch out, it was the socond patch, the 3° day, I'm done, for the first 3 years it was great i didn't feel nothing disturbing, or alarming, but this year everything changed! I lot of things going on too, but i know before this , i was already with mood swings even being happy, and having nothing to be mad about.

    I'm seriously considering going off birth control, I tried before, but I couldn't stand the acne. It was like the one you described in the video, it never comes to the surface of the skin and hurts.
    Now I'm in a relationship, so I've to think of another backup method of contraception that is non-hormonal.
    My period was very irregular, I'd go 3 months without it. There was no problem when I was single, but now I'd like to be reassured that everything's fine, and that I'm not pregnant every time my period is late 😅
    Now I'm on the pill, but I suffer from infections all the time, dryness and lack of libido (who would want something if it comes with all that discomfort). I want to try again and your video motivated me.

    My periods were terrible before birth control. So was my acne. And those are the reasons I started. I’ve now been on it about 5 years, and the pros are that it definitely cleared my acne and my periods are much lighter and more comfortable. But cons are I feel it has killed my energy and libido. So on top of not wanting to get pregnant, Ive been scared to get off of it and my acne/painful periods will return. So I’m doing a lot of research and listening to so many TH-cam videos of other’s experiences!
    Edit: I have had a bald spot on the right side of my head since I’ve been on the pill too. 😅

    My monthlies have been so so bad the last 6 months. Felt like it was ruining my life. The cramps and diareah hit so bad I was crying in pain and couldn't work because I'd be running to the bathroom the 2nd day for hours. I am 31 and lasted this long without BC but today I was supposed to get it. I'm in shock to say I'm not going through it because of videos like this as well as the fact I started doing mild exercise and started drinking golden milk teas. I make it with almond milk, no sugar, turmeric ginger as well as other spices I can't remember exact ones. I drank it during the start of horrid cramps that tylenol couldn't help and they subsided instantly. I drank this tea morning and night and not only did the cramps go away but I never got the diarrhea. I also prayed to god. I truly feel like it's been a miracle. This may have been God's way of telling me I dont need BC. I also did not eat high fiber foods. Anyway, rushing to type this rn but if anyone sees this, these things may help with horrible periods

    I have been on birth control for 4 years, and my friend was on it for just 8 months. And she was rushed to the hospital because she has blood clotting in her stomach (might be from the pill) we will be finding out today but if it is I am definitely going off, mine. The thing is it’s okay! As a women to not want to take birth control, there natural ways to prevent pregnancy and don’t forget you have to be ovulating or the first I think it’s 5 days leading up or after. And there is condoms and other methods, BUT also it’s your choice what to do so do what you think is best for you.
    Thank you for your video it was amazing girls ❤

    I’m so scared to get pregnant and that’s why I’ve stayed committed to the pill for 9 years but I’ve been gaining about 10 pounds a year if not more since I was 15. I’m not comfortable with my body, my skin, my hair is hurting and it doesn’t grow fast at all. I’m just curious how much will change for me off the pill. I have mental health issues and learning how much it effects your mental health is new to me and mind blowing. Thank you for making these videos and for the heads up I’ll purge.

    Hey, I am on BC since about 7 or 8 months (Ik it’s not a lot) but my mood is just terrible and I’ve gained a lot of weight. I wanna go off the pill and am on my period right know. I probably won’t start taking the next package but I’m very very scared of extrem acne. I struggled with acne before the pill. It was not that bad but sometimes I would have just very painful breakouts ( I’m a teenager so ig it’s normal but still sucks). My skin is very clear now and I just don’t want to go through the same embarrassment as I did with acne. I really just want to be happy again :/

    Did you switch to natural birth control like tracking your cycle and condoms? I really want to get off but having a baby is NOT in the cards for me right now and I get so worried and anxious and don't want any issues with sex to come between my relationship. My BF is so sweet and supportive but i feel its a very important part of a relationship. Thanks for any tips/advice, so glad to see you doing much better. You're glowing girl.

    Yaz was my final attempt at birth control. I drew the line at the realization that I wasn’t attracted to my boyfriend AND whiskey cl!t. I loved my boyfriend but I found myself not really interested in him or being very lovey or happy. On top of that I couldn’t org@sm like at all.
    That’s when I said enough. And I stopped taking it in the middle of the pack and I’m not looking back. Condoms and natural birth control for me

In 4 years I had to change to a different pill 3 times because the hormonal charge was too much :( and as you said, even with my last pills which had a low hormonal charge, I was not me... mainly mentally tho physically too! I’ve been on the pill for 6 years? And 1 year 10 months ago I started having constant fatigue every single day!!! And dropped 20 pounds out of nowhere. So I was concerned. Bloodwork always came back clean but my cortisol was extremely high. Sleep study came back clear. Now my dr’s are finally believing me and saying it’s probably my birth control 😅 going off in one month. And scared that I will have my painful cramps again (similar to what you described)

    • @KylaBeland
      @KylaBeland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the bloating was a struggle 🥲 but once you get off the pill and balance your hormones you shouldn’t have painful cramps. Painful cramps is common but not normal. Periods should be pain free so when there is pain that means there’s an imbalance. In this video, I talk about what I do that helps me have a pain free period and I also plan to film a more in depth video so be on the lookout! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been terrified to get off the pill because of acne. I supplement so well, exercise, and a recent birth control pill change has ruined me and I’ve decided it’s time to take a break at least. It’s helped my acne and made me so confident but I haven’t slept in a month and can’t eat or function. Did you have to give up dairy or anything to help your skin? I don’t eat gluten or eggs (and limit added sugar) to help my acne and struggle with EDs so I’d hate to take out another food group but want to help the cause.

    • @Esthie229

      I'm planning on stopping the pill soon and I think I'll just talk to my dermatologist first. I've read that a lot of women are prescribed spironolactone after they get off the pill to help with acne. Quitting the pill might also help your ED, I don't know that you are dealing with but I've been bingeing since I'm on the pill, I never had that problem before

    • @lexi6115
      @lexi6115 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Esthie229 yes good point I do plan to talk with my derm! Spiro made me bleed so much even while on the pill (at a very low dose) so I’m nervous it may not work for me, but bodies are always changing. As far as ED I’ve tried the gluten dairy egg free stuff for skin I meant more I don’t do well with cutting things out. I hope you find what works for you!

      That's very common, some scientists believe it's part of the reason why the divorce rates are so high.
