There’s one area of our home that I just have not figured out and it’s this little empty area that we literally just pile up packages at. And I am finally doing something about it! We're turning this empty wall into a Japand-inspired office nook. We have been working at the dining table and on our kitchen island together, but I think it’s time we give ourselves a dedicated space for working down here and this is the perfect area to do it.

Even though this was a small makeover in comparison to your others, it is my favorite so far for this house. I love everything about it, the rug is truly amazing, the wall panels, art, decor... just such a great job. I do want to add, that years ago I read an article about keeping the home clutter free, and it suggested creating "clutter free zones." I chose the kitchen counters and dining table. This way the kids wouldn't come in from school and dump all their belongings on the table or counter and leave them there. That was 30 years ago, and we still have that rule between my husband and I!!
This is my favorite make-over you have done. It is perfection. And that rug with the jut out is perfect for the chair. It’s just WOW!

Love the Japanese style of decorating...I am half Japanese and half Irish and my mother who was Japanese decorated in the Japanese style and it was a calm and peaceful look...

Just ignore the others who ask about why you're moving, and others who assume that you're going to be wasteful with things. Many of us can spend all day trying to explain it to any of them, but some will refuse to understand. 🙄

Makes me want to do something similar with the high pitched ceilings we have in our barndominium-the wallpaper panels are art all on its own! I’ve been struggling trying to decide what kind of large pieces I could hang on our walls, without making the walls *too busy* like a gallery wall could potentially be…this is such a good idea! Definitely been toying with the idea of fabric on canvases, too, or even hanging a rug like a tapestry-cause, I mean, even the small tapestries be *more expensive* than an 8x10 rug nowadays! 🤭🫣 Our walls _are_ cypress wood boards, so I’d half to stick the wallpaper to something and actually nail into the wood, but, it’d be pretty cool… Just wish I had that “Tina-Motivation!” 👊🏻 I don’t. 🥴

I just went up about 6 inches from the desk! I also placed some decor to gauge what height would be best so the trim wouldn’t be covered. Hope this helps!! 💛

My only tip is that it would be nice to have a little more b roll of the surrounding rooms so that we can be reminded what the vibe that's trying to be matched was. otherwise beautiful makeover.
Everything she’s does is renter friendly so theory is it can be removed and 90% reused also as she said last week they are still deciding on the next move and if hubby needs editing space it’s good idea plus she’s a content creator it what pays her bills
I noticed that when Brian was sitting in the chair, the rear legs were off of the rug. Perhaps shift the rug back a bit - or maybe you have! Nicely done!
