This should be integrated into unit morning PT for every Army unit. I studied and trained in Japanese Jiu Jitsu for a couple years and the mindset was amazing. The Army just stretches and PTs then stretches a little, then goes to work. If this were integrated, there would be an increase in productivity, efficiency, mindfulness, and likely reduce Soldier minor mental health issues.

I studied martial arts since I was a child. It built strength discipline and mind control. But I was already struggling with mental health and ptsd all throughout my childhood I was compensating for what was not there. I suffered two strokes. And I thought that was it for me. It was there I was faced to look at myself I could speak my mind was cloudy and my hands and feet did not cooperate with each other. I had to discipline my mind, so I fell back on the teachings of the way of the warrior. You are right about a lot of things you said, and everyone can face their inner mind and learn it. Thanks for the videos. Keep all that positive energy in your videos.

A lot of "these" channels (Tactical/Warrior/Combat oriented channels) focus solely on the "tacticool" aspect of training and life in general, and forget that your mind is really the most important tool you have. Videos like this are a rare commodity from these channels. Thank you, Tu, for this video.

Total Respects true Hero as a warrior and a great Human being. I started watching Tu Lam as an amazing operator about 5 years ago and truly helped light a amber in me as Pat McNamara would say truly helped me I was in a time of my life coming out of a dark low place myself and now i am driving and striving in tactical training and as better man for myself and my family I have recently got back in LE as a result to some of this I believe. It is a time when many are stepping away and I understand there frustration and respect there decisions. But I also believe it is a time when we need to step up and continue the hood fight for our communities and our country so I am ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to keep America as one of the best places in the world for people to be and to want to come here to better themselves and there families. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do Tu Lam sir.

Tu, I've got to thank you for this video. 4 years ago, before my son was born, I was seeing the VA for counseling. I'd been doing it for 5 years before that, and I felt like I was getting no where. I was an angry MF. It was about this time, 2017, my counselor told me "You're just angry, man. If we don't fix this, your wife is going to leave you... Would you want to be married to someone that might explode at any moment?" of course the answer was no. He hooked me up with a guy that taught meditation. I'm thinking "Not this hippy shit", but I was willing to give anything a shot. My wife was pregnant at the time and I didn't want my son growing up to think dad was just an angry asshole. I remember the first 3 weeks it was rough. It wasn't easy but I kept at it. Had lessons twice a week and practiced every day for at least 15 minutes. Then 4 weeks after that, I noticed that I started to get better at it, and my anger started to calm. My resting heart rate went from 110 bpm to 90 bpm. Not perfect, but an improvement. I wasn't on edge all the time. I got better, but then stopped going and meditating. The anger has been coming back. This video has encouraged me to get back into it. This video reminded me that I didn't want to be thought of as the "angry asshole dad", by my son. My wife has been trying to get me back into it because she's noticed the anger coming back. And I've thought about it for sometime, but something about this video has encouraged me to just do it. Thank you. Starting again tomorrow.

My sister committed suicide in 2012 and I had to go to Atlanta and cremate her body to bring the ashes to São Paulo, Brazil. It s not easy survive in these world, but the main goal of life is searching for a meaningful life with happiness, but sometimes we get lost in these path and many people more than 800.000 kill themselves every year. There are people who Don’t have choice like in Afghanistan, Yemen, North Korea 🇰🇵 with an oppressed society. Very sad, but true. We need to find our spiritual evolution in these chaotic world. @Tu the timing of this video is unbelievable profound. I'm sharing this with my girlfriend who is a victim of domestic violence and has severe PTSD for over 10 years. She has managed to contain & isolate herself from the past but here recently become more and more scared/withdrawn and been demonstrating the negative survivor mindset that you described. Your video personally just demonstrated and provided an additional path forward a tool that can help manage the underlying anger/feelings frustration that's within. If nothing else, we all have to remember how powerful our own minds and bodies are. My thanks for your perspective. She is seeing a counselor now, but this is something else outside of the professional realm any of us can apply.

I haven't been hitting goals and struggling to realize why. I've reflected some and concluded I need to get my head right, get in that zone but nothing has worked out long term, just didn't click. How you laid it all out in this video hit me. Definitely sharing this, others need this.

I can't tell you how helpful this is at the moment. I was never really an anxious person but recent occurrences have made me one, if it worked for someone who's experienced hell in combat it should work for a regular civilian. Thank you very much Ronin
