Took his course back in September, learned a lot about my own habits, flinching in anticipation and yanking the trigger. He and Jeff showed me this. Been working on this, and dealing with stress while shooting. His courses build dissect you in order to build you up. Loved the video and content. Stay frosty, Team Ronin!
Jonathon Bridges I’m my experience it’s mostly just the anticipation of the recoil. Knowing that a small explosion is about to sound off next to your head and you’re preparing yourself to get hit. But that’s just what I’ve found with myself.
@@dakotadragoon8404 well the obvious quick solution would be a lighter trigger which i might do anyway. Can't anticipate if it goes boom before you can blink🤣. I did shot something that had a trigger pull of .15 lb. That was unreal.
Jonathon Bridges a trigger might help, yeah. Mostly I just had to focus on a smooth trigger pull and not flinching. Through a LOT of reps doing this I don’t flinch sub consciously as much if any now. I will occasionally yank a round or two if im not abiding the proper techniques and in a hurry to just get a round off.
Black Guns Matter Straight facts. If I don’t see Tu as intimidating, do I even understand what he is in his mind or have any idea what he’s capable of toe-to-toe, gun, knife or hands?
Anyone watching this video should understand 1 thing, training like this from Tu Lam is priceless. If you’ve never been involved in Military or LE (SWAT) combat shooting/ training you can’t understand how good this training is or how much it costs . To receive if from Tu , free, is simply a gift. Very few people get this type of information unless they pay or are employed in this type occupation . Attention to detail is key to everything we do, and you, sir, provide outstanding detail ! Thank you. Looking forward to watching each and every one of your tactical videos.
I love going through the house doing trigger practice (safely) and peripheral/multiple target acquisition at night with my pistol and rifle using their lights. My wife says I need to chill. I say no ho, you chill. These are bar none the best videos on TH-cam.
{SQuiRt ReyNolds} I will agree that any amount of (proper) training is useful. However, I doubt you will ever need or use the skills that you are so dedicated to practicing. Chances are, you are just a plain civilian folk much like the rest of us.
It's really about technique at that point. "Tighten down" isn't about squeezing the gun onto itself but rather adjusting finger pressure and pinching the gun as he says in another vid.
Way way wayyyyyy harder to run a pistol proficiency under pressure with speed at distance. I can’t believe someone else said he was “too much” 😅like no I could watch all day. I’ve never found such a informative channel and appreciate every ounce of knowledge/experience he’s willing to share. I wish someone showed me his “how to grip a pistol” video before I ever shot one for the first time cause the explanation is second to none! The people he’s teaching aren’t beginners oftentimes their police officers/swat/ guys that can benefit from a higher level of teaching, I couldn’t think of a better teacher!
If you own, and carry guns to protect yourself, all of the lessons on this channel are need to know. Iv never seen so many important fundamentals all in one place. Tu really is the man with the plan.
I might be late to the party, but Ronin's training is the most useful I've seen anywhere. I'm paying as close attention as possible to ramp up my abilities with my pistol and AR as quickly as I can, and all of these Ronin videos are extremely valuable to me. I will join a class if you come to my area of Texas. Thanks so much for all you and your team do!
Mr Tu Lam: I just saw your interview with Shawn Ryan. I am an ABC and didnt know the whole story of the Vietnam war. your semi biography was amazing of how strong your mother was to endure the escape out of there. give a whole new new meaning of the word "perseverance". Thank you bro for your service.
I am a FF/Medic working back from a serious knee injury when I have recuperated and re-trained my knee, I will get this mans training, I will go anywhere I need to go to get it!
When you get to an instructor level of training you have a compassionate heart for your students and you want them to do well, but the world is cruel and they need to know the real deal. I love how he is so invested in his students and his drive for perfection shows his love for his trade. I always said a true craftsman masters his craft... Perfection!
I have been a small arms instructor for over ten years. Teaching teens and adults how to shoot and all the fundamentals needed. Now Your teaching me. I will bring everything you have taught me to the range. I would love the opportunity to train with you. I wanted to join the military but Killary stopped that. So I had to learn on my own. Thank you for what your doing! After all it's a matter of life or death!
The best teachers, professors and instructors have the ability to get the students to “relate” to the material. Tu is definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen. As a firearms instructor for 20 years, I still benefit from learning from guys like Tu.
I learn so much from you. One thing people never understand is that THEY are the weapons. It’s control of themselves that is the key. You teach that. And it really makes the difference. Thank you.
Have always loved the content, and wanted to come take courses, the coaching potion of this video upped the game even more to show not only the quality of information but the quality of a diverse teaching style. I am very thankful for the content you share and look forward to making it to courses.
Tu has a lot of field experience in combat. Listen to what he says. He knows what he’s talking about. Wish my brothers and I had a teacher like this back in the day. Maybe some of them would still be around. Rip 🇺🇸
He's literally ripped someones eyes from their socket. Tell me any fucking LEO with that kind of up and close combat experience. This is other wordly shit. Much respect to Tu.
This Man have such charisma that I would probably dive in to flames with him. He is like walking encyclopedia , full of information proved by war and experience. He deserve all respect. True Warrior
It's like he's applied the foundation of nearly every warrior code, the philosophy of every martial art and put it into this let's say "modern" warfare. It's so special to me to see that those fundamentals never change in battle. Timeless wisdom for the ages. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this and listening to every word. Very enlightening.
Been going to the range every Sunday for awhile now. We draw from the holster and do different drills. EVERY time Mr. Lam puts a video up, I'll watch it over and over and take what I can to my Sunday morning. This Sunday will be "ratchet your grip, find the front sight" - "find the front sight". Thank you so much for the vids. 🙂👍
Much respect man. You sf guys always have a calm cool demeanor that i find intimidating more than your technical skills. We talk about it , you guys do and have done it. Absolutely insane
seeing Tu with a AK is prof that you should know how to use/operate multiple platforms!!! that said I liked how he said each gun talks/behaves differently to each person!! I have a favorite pistol that I like to shoot & have shot a few that I can shoot very well BUT just don't like!! you are a wealth of knowledge!! thank you for your service & THANK YOU for uploading these videos for us!!!
I enjoyed this video. I like the fact that he’s speaking in a normal conversation level and just conveying his information to his students. Great video.
May not be able to physically attend a class and tune in on the knowledge you have to offer in person, but from your videos alone I can still learn so much and for that I am grateful.
I've watched a lot of videos of how to shoot pistols, carbines and I still didn't quite get the fundamentals of how to properly adjust your grip, stance and pull the trigger. Here I learn something more too! Just incredible content and I hope I'll be a great shooter one day!
This dude is my favourite character on Call of Duty Warzone. Hes lethal at close range. Maaan hes like next-level-soldier material....... Keep doing your country proud brother. God Bless.

The respect given to and from everyone in your classes is not very common. No over masculinity or making anyone feel stupid. It's great to see another Asian with such passion for firearms. I really hope to attend one of your training sessions in the future. Thanks for some of the best advice I've ever received Tu
I love listening to his insights on the combat theatre. Just turned 21 and live in the Springs Covid-19 is going on right now and I'm really trying to receive my CCW, I can't wait for the classes I feel like you've helped me understand better how to handle my Glockie when I get it. Much Appreciated.
I have been following your channel for a while now from SA. I really want to take this moment and commend you on your high quality of training information and the manner you translate it for anyone to grasp it. Double thumbs up from me!!
This video was like being right in that room while he was teaching, one of the most interesting points he addressed with the officers was muzzle flip, grip pressure need to be applied and also shoulder relaxed as well as adrenaline and heart rate. Awesome 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Much love & respect bro my grandfather was first wave Ranger D Day finished off at the bulge & still came home in one piece & my father was 101st Airborne he survived the bombing in party city & was also fortunate to come home I was cut from the cloth of warriors like Mr.Lam.
Thank you Sir for what you are doing... I can't even begin to imagine a % of what youve had to endure... but am glad god made us countrymen because your knowledge & wisdom is priceless and paid in blood and tears. I appreciate you and what youre giving to us. may your blade never dull.
As I was taught. Front Sight, Front Sight, slack pause.....squeeeeeeeze. I continuously stress and vocally say FRONT SIGHT with all my students and problem shooters. IT. WORKS.
Extremely important bit of info he gave out. 90% you can learn 10% you have to figure out for yourself. On top of that not all training works for everybody. Some people need full presentation or they can’t manage the recoil and get sight alignment. Some people have to do some funky business with their grip because of arthritis or hand size. It’s all about taking in as much information as you can and seeing what works best for you. Never fall into the mindset of this is the only way to do things, always be open to change.
Sir you are truly walking in the footsteps of warriors like Musashi. Born and lived in war and now as a master passing it onto your students. You should write your own book of five rings.
Fantastic explanations. There are a lot of solid instructors on YT but your perspective on the mental and philosophical aspects are quite unique, great points.
My favorite part of his instruction is he works with every student at their marksmanship level. One student may be recoil management the next is tracking the sights and cadence. He doesn’t just have everyone do the same drill regardless of where they are at.
id like to watch him teach long range classes, he explains well for my way of taking in information.i learned young in school that not everyone learns well from the same teacher other teachers explain better to some than others
This is what I was looking for to understand where I'm at and push myself to the next level. Now I know I have to work on my marksmanship a bit more, before I can shoot at a faster pace. Walk before you run! Thanks Tu!
You can see how passionate he is about his students comprehending the techniques that he embodies. Tu Lam is the perfect example of what you want in an instructor. I learned much from this
Out of all the online guys, you seem to be my favorite. This machine I pilot chooses to watch all your videos, so the deduction is obvious. I might have to undo 20 years of knowledge to do it though.
This man is giving solid advise for free, the least he deserves is a like.
Hell get his likes!! Us gun guys are black Friday shopping!! Lol
I agree with u, great advise.
He’s a good humble dude, if you have the opportunity to train with Tu I highly recommend it
He deserves his own company with thousands of employees
He is proving, guns don't kill humans; human do!
Man has a Doctorate in battlefield Tactics and data
rightwinggunnut1 , yeah buddy ...!!!! Sooo true 👍🏻
Mans got a DR in badassery
I’m glad COD is giving this man the publicity he deserves
Thank you!

Imagine the poor bastard that tries to break into this man's home...

@Fsabe z as in he got lit up so bad he's indistinguishable...
Omfg he'd have it all on video too😂😂😂😰😰 poor fuckers

The Rxckstar LMFAOOO
Great video! Tu, is the kind of instructor you can learn from, love his demeanor.
He teaches, not intimidates!
But yet he is intimidating.
Even though he's nice he's still intimidating because you know he could kill you in a second lol good thing he's one of the good guys
@Hang M. High amazing to hear this man, definitely the mind set that Tu wants all of us to adopt.
Black Guns Matter Straight facts. If I don’t see Tu as intimidating, do I even understand what he is in his mind or have any idea what he’s capable of toe-to-toe, gun, knife or hands?
You know he is a good guy. But not a Mr Nice Guy. That is what I like about him.
Outstanding instructor, really knows his shit. Operators do this for a living, training is key. When in doubt train......train.......train.

"I need you to tighten down on that gun!"
Doods thinking, "christ this is as tight as I can grip this thing!!!" Hahaha

Born to teach and passionate about the subject, win, win. You feel how motivated he is about the subject. Sharing art is a generous act.
For a infantryman stuck at the Old Guard this is a blessing thank you Hooah!! @ ronin tactics

I would
Hell Yeah.
Hell yes.
Much respect man. You sf guys always have a calm cool demeanor that i find intimidating more than your technical skills. We talk about it , you guys do and have done it. Absolutely insane
Just started a new job at a hospital as armed security so any and all info/advice/ training I can soak up is more valuable than gold in my opinion.
The Einstein of combat.

Pistol accuracy and grip has gotten a lot better after this. Thank you Sensai TU Lam
After hearing his podcast with Shawn Ryan, I have gained so much respect for this man and his journey as a Ronin. So much wisdom in this man. Salute!
I enjoyed this video. I like the fact that he’s speaking in a normal conversation level and just conveying his information to his students. Great video.

Modern Samurai Fundamentals right there. Your dedication is unreal. "As you get the rhythm you discern how to win." -Miyamoto Musashi
Simple and brutally honest. Tu is a true warrior teacher.
God Bless.
I had the HONOR of first seeing Tu in an interview with Shawn Ryan. This guy is an inspiration! Thanks Tu.
This changed my level way more than the times I’ve been in the range and watched all the other channels. First time watching this!
People will say: Very unnecessary to shoot someone 10 times.
Me: Adrenaline is one helluva drug.
As the great Jorge masvidal said “ it’s super necessary”
Those people have most likely never been in a life or death situation, regardless of adrenaline if someone comes at you with a firearm you put as many rounds as it takes for them to stop moving.

"In combat my HR are 160/70" !!!! That´s knowing himself. Excellent speech! Solid LIKE button
11 people get mad or what. He explained all of his knowledge slowly and these are great advice.
I know now that i need to correct my hand position. Thanks sir
A mighty mine of knowledge. Great respect for the veteran. Greetings from Poland.
That was the most badass intro I have ever watched ..👍🏻and sooo true ... his advice is “ GOLD STANDARD INFORMATION ..
Tu, keeping it relevant, keeping slick, and always keeping it real world. De Oppresso Liber!
I start watching your TH-cam as my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you uncle Tu!
Attending one's first professional training course is a gateway drug for more. The training I received while active duty was garbage, full of institutional inbreeding. There's nothing like receiving training from a true professional and master if combat. With that said... Tu, good sir, you're are on my bucket list! Thank you, sir!
Hits every shot and then goes any questions what a legend
I love you, Ronin.
Noone could teach it better thn you!
Godbless you, man!
Youre a gift!
If you enjoy what you do it no longer becomes a job. Thank you for the invaluable information. This is priceless.
This guy gives great advice on how to fight in CQB drills training true legit warrior and patriot Army Special Forces
Skillset and knowledge is off the chart, but I also love his philosophy.
The amount of knowledge this man has is just incredible
Bruh...fuck yes!!!! Watched one video and was hooked. Practiced my grip and trigger pull the way you instructed and my front sights didnt even move. The academy didnt teach me and take time like this...I'm going to the range tomorrow!!!! YOU sir, are the man

"I could teach a monkey how to shoot, I've done it" BEST thing I've heard all day, and I don't think Ronin is lying
The adrenaline part was a key for me to train at that level, never thought about that specific training before. Solid work all around Ronin 👏🏻
Didn't even come from COD, bought a Colt M4, this was in my recommended. Time to learn. 🙏
Dude is a bad ass. Looking forward to using his character in cod modern warfare. Appreciate all the knowledge sir THANK YOU FOR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE.
I hope one day to be blessed to go to one of his classes it would be worth it just to hear a lecture wouldnt even matter if I shot or not.

Love this content Ronin, thanks so much for sharing it and for your incredible service to our country.
You’re too in depth. I have to sit back and watch you on my down time. Awesome content !
I really appreciate the training your giving to all these people , because you're saving them from being a statistic.
Thank you Tu, i'm relearning through your teachings and will apply at my range. Lots to rework on!
I should've watched this before hitting the range today. Awesome training and advice to the shooters. Thank You!!!
id like to watch him teach long range classes, he explains well for my way of taking in information.i learned young in school that not everyone learns well from the same teacher other teachers explain better to some than others
I learned much from this
Warrior and a scholar.
I learn so much from TU . I cant image how much I would learn if I took his class Tu come to Knoxville Tennessee
I really appreciate your knowledge. I’m gonna be watching a lot more of your videos. Thanks for uploading.
Out of all the online guys, you seem to be my favorite. This machine I pilot chooses to watch all your videos, so the deduction is obvious. I might have to undo 20 years of knowledge to do it though.
Tu is the man!! Thanks for sharing, be safe guys.. happy holidays
Bravo, bravo, thanks for bringing us along. God Bless.
This guy is all in one student AND teacher!
