I’ve done a lot of research and begging to figure out movie theater popcorn and what I’ve come across is Snappy Butter Burst Popcorn Oil, for both popping and as a butter topping along with Flavacal seasoning like you used. They all have told me they use same oil for popping as they do for butter flavor
