How to make Popcorn WITHOUT oil or butter! It's very EASY!

  • Popcorn can be a healthy snack but microwaveable popcorn or movie popcorn is popped using oil or butter or both! Making popcorn with oil or butter is unnecessary so in this video, I'll show you how to make popcorn without any oil or butter so you can enjoy it guilt-free...like me!
Step 1: Heat up a pot on very low heat and use a cover.
Step 2: Once the pot is hot, put the kernels in.
(Depending on the size of the pot I would recommend testing between 60-100grams to see what works for you)
Step 3: Shake the pot every 60-90 seconds so the kernels don't burn. The popcorn should start popping after 5-10 minutes
Step 4: Once the popping slows down, pay close attention to the popcorn. If no more kernels pop for 5 seconds, it is done.
Step 5: Pour into a bowl and enjoy! (you may add salt, sugar, cinnamon, as you wish)

My father always used oil so I for many years used oil, butter, etc. I didn't know you could pop popcorn without oil. I'm going to try this right now. Thanks!

Dr. Alan Mandell's shorts on "What Popcorn Can Do for Your Body" led me to searching air popped popcorn. It's a healthy snack. I'm thankful I found this vid that doesn't use microwave and keeps the popcorn plain. Perfect for what doc promotes. Really appreciate this. =)

It works also if you set it to high heat as long as you keep shaking the pan slightly enough for the kernels to be constantly moving.
Once they start popping, lower the heat and keep moving the pan until the popping stops.
Using a microwave is much easier, specially after you figure out the exact amount of time and heat is needed. On a cheap one, 100g kernels should be done popping after 3 and half minutes.

definitely not as good as the ones with oil or butter .. but still thanks alot
For whom it didn't work with , there is 2 factors he didn't mention :
1 - the size of the oventop (don't use the small one) probably close to size of the pot is the key (not sure)
2 - there is a serten type of pot , i think its called non-stick

No way this works, won't you burn the pot / pan!?!?!?
I don't have a microwave and here in Poland it's hard to even find popcorn just with kernals. Not to mention i don't think it's generally long term health wise safe to be using a microwave not to mention popcorn bags contain chemicals.
Anyways, long story short I'm going to try this lets pray for my pot!! 🤞🙏 Ahaha.
Also: Yea it's an amazing snack if someone can pull it off this way that's why I've been trying to figure out a way to interpret this into my diet. I lift weights im around 10% body fat trying to reach 9% for fun haha.
