- There's nothing worse than having a leash that tangles around your leg while long boarding and especially cross-stepping. In this video I test a new leash that should be less tangly and also give some advice on how to prevent your leash from being all tangly to begin with.

Age 70. Started surfing 2 years ago. Fumbling with cross-stepping UNTIL I quit cross-stepping. Watched "Endless Summer II" (again!) and noticed that WingNut, the longboarder, doesn't always cross-step. Sometimes, he just "gets" to the nose! I tried it for 2 days on a borrowed log. Day 1 I got to the nose! Day 2 I got to the nose for 5 seconds! Today I tried this on my regular 9' board and GOT TO THE NOSE! The biggest change is that I quit worrying about the journey (cross-stepping) and focused on the outcome (getting to the nose). And yes, I was leashed every time! Well done, there are several massively cool things that I am impressed with, but first of all, that you have only been surfing for two years, I have been surfing now for 4 and a half...but who's counting, I just love every opportunity I have to get wet.
