Hi Chandi. Thank you for another beautiful pattern. I’ve heard of these cast ons and bind offs but I don’t think I’ve ever seen them done before. Very stretchy! Thank you for another great tutorial! It’s nice to hear you sounding better. Have a lovely weekend!💗
Thank you for this tutorial, I learned something new today which makes me happy :). I used before the stretchy bind-off but didn't realize there is also a cast on. Oh, and ofcourse a beautiful pattern. All the best
Agh! Now I wish I had waited before making the Sue Ellen shawl! I loved the results of that one, but I prefer the look of knitting. Now I need to save up to get some more pearlescent worsted yarn for this beautiful shawl! Lovely pattern, as always, from the EFA team!
Thanks! We do have a crochet version of this design, if that's your craft. It's currently free to download too: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/sue-ellen.html
Hi Lolah, the info that you're looking for is given in the pattern. Have you downloaded the full pattern from our website yet? It is currently available for free and you can find it here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/rhay.html For the sample shown we CO 240 sts but you can use any multiple of 4. I hope this answers your question! 💕
Hi Barbara, yes we do have a crochet version of that pocket scarf. It is called Sue Ellen and you can find it here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/sue-ellen.html Enjoy! 💕
i'm a bit confused. if I k2tog, does that not decrease the number of stitches ? when do I increase it again to maintain width ? am i missing something ? edit : nevermind, i missed the yarn over part
You can find all this information on the pattern page here: www.expressionfiberarts.com/products/rhay.html The link is usually also given in the description box below the tutorial. The shawl size is 18” x 70” (46 cm x 178 cm); Pockets 10” x 9” (25 cm x 23 cm). 💜

This looks like the cozyest most comfy shawl ever😊
Yes, it is indeed! 💙
Perfect summer project….nice and relaxing! I need to make more shawls for all that air conditioning blasting in the office! 🥰🥰
Enjoy! Have a wonderful day!
I love rectangular shawls. Thank you for such a beautiful pattern.
You're very welcome!
I also prefer rectangle shawls to triangle ones. Maybe more modern.
Thanks for using a yarn color that contrasts with the needle color. It makes it so much easier to follow your instructions.
My pleasure, I'm glad it's helpful. 💙
Ein tolles Projekt für den kommenden Sommer und absolut fernsehtauglich. Danke für die schöne Anleitung
You're so welcome! Enjoy!

I love the stitch markers..where do I get them from?
Are they available in Walmart?
Glad you like them. These stitch markers are not from Walmart but from Never Not Knitting www.nevernotknitting.com/
💙
Thank you 🧶☕️😊
You're welcome!
What is the benefit of the slip knot cast on ? Did I miss it ? Thank you
It's just a method that gives you a stretchy cast, that's all!
I hope this explains it. 💙
I love your patterns and instructions. I know how to knit but my tension doesn’t seem even. Any suggestions?
I'd suggest to practice on a smaller piece first. Tension issues will usually get better the more you knit and purl. 💚
Nice syal
How many did you cast on? Or what’s recommended for this type of project?

I hope this answers your question! 💕
This pattern is knitted lengthwise, what size circular needles are recommended? The pattern didn't say.
I'd probably go with the longest you can get like 40" or 47" since you shawl will be approx. 70" long. I hope this answers your question. 💚
😊😊😊
Can you convert that to crochet?
see comment above by alison gomes - the reply links to a crochet version - called sue ellen

Your video is confusing because you're assuming we're holding the string normally as you're doing with the the knots and it's very had to keep up
