This pattern is amazing and looked intimidating to me but turned out to actually be pretty easy with some patience. I am by no means an intermediate knitter... not a beginner, either, because I've been doing it my whole life, but never really moved past beginner stitches, so in that case... BEGINNERS REJOICE! Try this out! Just be patient and start small. I learned more from giving this tutorial a try than I have in YEARS of self-guided knitting... Thank you!
I'm very similar! I can do a whole variety of stitches but always stay away from patterns unless there's a video tutorial because of some learning disabilities I have that make just using a pattern alone very very difficult and extremely frustrating for me. So it's fun when there's a video to accompany the pattern and that's why I've always loved this channel!

I went through a few test swatches of this (I have some yarn earmarked for this project), and it took me a while to realize I was accidentally reverse-yarnovering, which works if I'm only knitting through the front of the purl, but not through the back...so yeah, that was fun. Still really excited to make this, especially now that my test swatches look like what you did!

You really are an excellent teacher. It was YOUR videos that made me feel confident enough to take on some more complicated knitting stitches because you made it look so simple. I have been knitting English style for over 50 years, so it is difficult for me to do the Continental style (sometimes muscle memory works against you), but the speed at which you teach makes it easy for even an elder like me to convert the motions to English style. Just downloaded Seren pattern. Just love the look and am planning to knit a Christmas gift. I also want to thank you for the layout of your pattern. Thank you for leaving enough of a margin on the left so that a three-hole punch can be used to enable me to file Seren in my pattern binder. Doesn't sound like much, but it eliminates the need to reduce or re-copy the pattern by moving text to the left and re-copying. Thanks for your video and instructions. Great job.

I was just telling a friend yesterday that my fingers just didn’t want to like knitting 🧶 I’ve managed to make a very simple winter scarf and prettied it up nicely with some little things here and there. I seem to have no problem with all forms of crocheting. But my heart really wants to try and succeed at knitting. And understand it! Lol. That’s a huge part of doing any art or craft. It will always mean more and appeal to you so much more if you understand what you’re doing. It makes you feel that you have purposely succeeded in making this item in your hands rather than you just fell into it and it came out looking fair.
I’m not giving up and I will one day make this beauty. 👍🏼🤍

Love this pattern so much! I'm having a hard time deciding which of your patterns to make first - they're all so beautiful! Do you think this would work well with an acrylic yarn? Unfortunately, that's all I really have at the moment (on a student budget), but one of these days, I would love to buy some of your yarn. The cornsilk colour way is absolutely gorgeous!

This looks beautiful but I really struggled with this. I would not call it a beginner project :/ I got to the row with the pearling and got so lost.
Yes I agree it’s intermediate at best. I have created many socks and tried many different stitches and this has definitely been the hardest. I’m also quadriplegic so I have limited hand function so the knit through 2 back loops was not doable with my function. I fear I’ve wasted the money because I assumed it was a beginners difficulty as well.
...think I might be able to solve your problem ...you spelled purling wrong ...don't worry about your knitting skills they are probably spot on ...it was just the spelling that through you off ...go for it ;-) ...this is probably not what I would call even an advanced beginner pattern ...but then I am bit clumsy
