This is a much easier job than you have made it , a tip for next time you do one don’t waste your time removing anything from engine bay , wipers, headlights ect , you can remove both pipes from under the vehicle very easily especially if you have a ramp , not a dig just a heads up for next time
Hey thanks for watching, most people that try this at home won’t have a ramp or be doing it from underneath the car that’s why I’ve shown the “propper” way of doing that’s the easiest to follow, but Yh I know what you mean there is always easier ways but only when you actually know what ya doing 👍
Hi mate, great video, gonna have a go myself. Can i ask though, some people talk about back feed bleeding. Does it make anybdifference compared to how you do it?
Hey 👋 thanks for watching, I don’t know what back feed bleeding is I’ve only ever done it the normal way, I use a pressure bleeder as I’m on my own, of you can have someone pump the pedal up and down while you open the bleed valve at the right time. Let me know how you get on 👍
@MrAutoFixer thanks for the reply mate. It's where a syringe of fluid is pushed in through the bleeder, through the master cylinder and back into the reservoir. I pressume the way you do it works so ill stick with that. Thanks again.
What part number is the Luk clutch master cylinder? I have the 2016 1.6L ST, and my master cylinder is different from the one the factory installed. I have part number LMC467, but the firewall plumbing is not the same, the fittings are too close together.
My one was a 1.0L and LUK make 2 different ones for that model your model/engine could be different still, if I was you I would call up a local parts supplier and get them to look it up on your reg ! 👍
Great video. Detailed enough to give me the confidence to do it myself. A question though if you dont mind. As you say there is no need to drain the system first, is there not any fluid loss when disconnecting the pipe?
There will be a small bit of fluid loss, but you could use pipe clamps on the soft pipes if you want too, but as you are going to bleed the system anyway it won’t matter if you lose some fluid 👍
Thank you so much for this tutorial. My car is at a mechanic at the moment, it's been 3 days, he says I might only get it back tomorrow mid-day. Will you be able to give an estimate on the cost for the replacement of the clutch master cylinder?
Hi if it all goes to plan I think an hour should be ok to complete the job maybe a little longer if you run into some bleeding issues or you haven’t done them before 👍

@deanoscott I dunno if I would trust that method 🤔 I know the normal way works so Yh you shouldn’t have any issues 👍

Hey seems like a long time to have the car for that simple job ? The cost for that job will be about £150 ish and should be done within half a day 👍
@@MrAutoFixer Thank you so much! This was very helpful
Great video thanks. How long does it take (assuming that all goes to plan)?
Hi if it all goes to plan I think an hour should be ok to complete the job maybe a little longer if you run into some bleeding issues or you haven’t done them before 👍
Sometimes, when im first gear, there's no clutch control and stalls. The clutch seems easy to push to the floor as well
Sounds similar to the symptoms of a bad master cylinder, I would go have it checked out so you don’t end up stranded one day 👍
@@MrAutoFixer thank you
Dont you have to drain system first? Just asking.
No you don’t have to drain it first 👍
You dont know how to do it terrable job update.🎉
Useless and unhelpful comment! But Thanks for watching 👍
