Awesome in-depth review. Well done and thank you. I like these very much. Only one little cosmetic gripe: they obviously went for that yellow solid plastic on all four to save on paint costs, compared to their previous painted models and it shows. These could really do with a custom paint job to hit the scale value over the roof.

Problem is we get everything last in the UK. CML will be the first to get them, then probably Modelsport, but I bet that won't be for a while. 👍
@@DoURC the problem is cml you can't buy directly from them shame I wish we can I've done lots of upgrading to our TRX 4 defender 1/10 but I'm facing a small problem I wonder if you came across it my rear wheels when Im in reverse it's faster when I'm going forward what you think the problem and why did it happen I changed the motor to combo hobbywing 3300kv and I've never had such experience so I hope you can advice
@iraqirc3409 Ah ok, I've had that before. On a brushed motor you'd just swap the wires. On the Hobbywing you should be able to change the motor direction via the programming, or do it on your transmitter if need be and that should sort it. 👍
@@DoURC I'm using brushless hobbywing sensored esc 3300kv and it's soldered but I changed the value on the radiolink RC6GS controller so I'll see later if it worked I'll let you know bro
Best video I've seen of these todate. FMS sell brass weights for the wheels which might help with the front lifting on climbs.

Very good review, the size comparison was great the TRX4M is a real 1/18, I was hopping that they are not 1/24 but this confirm it they are too small for my collection

Nice, i have 3 fcx24, unimog, power wagon and k5 blazer... all with unlock diffs... this trucks can put unlock diffs?

Same sentiments. I found the wheels too big too for the defender....did you happen to find any links for replacement wheels that are smaller? The current ones do not look "camel trophy" proportion.
Yeah shame they're so big.
I believe the wheels are 0.75", most are 1" so I guess it depends if any companies like Injora do any or decide to do some. 👍

If fcx24 compatible portal axles work on these, i can see a ton of people going with that set up..
Yeah, the wheel track is wider on the FCX24, but maybe stuff can be swapped. Personally I think I'd prefer keeping straight axles but maybe just some low down weight. 👍
What battery specs should i purchase? Not so familiar with the types so any help is appreciated!
It includes a battery. Also the battery tray is big enough for the FCX18 battery, which is around 900mah, so I'd just get an FCX18 battery as that'll last ages, well over an hour. 👍

How did it hold up where water was concerned?
Yeah it was fine, still works, but it was only shallow water. Tbh I wouldn't risk going too deep as I reckon that power switch won't last long. 😬👍
Land rover is not my thing for a body. I like fcx24 2 speed and stuff. I get one it will be the Chevy body. hehe. There scale detail is good. 24yep showed one and as he was going slow and turned it, the servo didn't effect it at slow speed. First thing i noticed. Loving the 2speed hehehe My wpl crawler is Slow an awesome but i need another build. fcx24 might be my next rig. Saving up an research continues . Great looking scale.
I love a Land Rover, for me the Disco is just awesome, as we don't have any so far like this in small scale. 👍

Proportions are shit but discovery is the better looking one.
I think the body proportions look fine, the wheels are definitely too big on the Defenders though. For me the Disco and Rangey are the best and something we don't have. 👍
