As a dark skinned black girl, someone once said to be , you look so much brighter when you wear bright colors and I took that, when I'm being casual I like to play around with Bright coloured polo's and tops but darker jeans, I think it suits me. thank you always for your inspiration

I’ve been upgrading my life after quarantine started. I invested in some statement pieces and accessories. Got back into working out, taking care of my skin, deleted most of my social media to start over later, and training my voice to be a bit softer. I also got braces, finally. I just stumbled here. I definitely need a crash course in etiquette. It’s overwhelming but I’ll start on this channel.

During my career, I always put together my complete outfit for the next day, and hung up and brushed, steamed, or aired (as necessary) what I had worn that day. Then, I could relax for the evening, knowing I would be well-turned out for work be next day. Also, taking a minute or two to think of my next outfit, taking weather and activities into account, helped me to rotate the items in my business wardrobe.

I love that you mentioned "not always going only for what's perfect for your shape", Ms Musayeva! I've been forbidding the puffy sleeves for myself, telling myself my shoulders are too wide, but recently I thought: you know what, they might be making your shoulders look kind of big, but you're lean overall, and -- are wider shoulders really that bad? I'm loving the strict shape jackets and gentle puffy-sleeve blouses that I've recently let myself wear, and I do think I look good in them, even if they accentuate the so-called "athletic" shape (reversed triangle?..). Being in quarantine for so long has really challenged my usual style (which is an aspiration to refined&elegant with a touch of vintage).
Exactly. It is eventually up to us to decide what looks good on us. Knowing is good but the last word is always after you.

In India, we have extremely hot weather for most part, so I can't relate to everything you said but yes, some general tips are very helpful, for example, shape and colour patterns. I like wearing western clothes but on special occasions and when I feel fancy I go for elegant sarees and Kurtas. Sarees are amazing, indeed.
I just convinced myself to switch back to my original black hair after watching a lot of your videos. You are so elegant 💓 I love you. You helped me a lot and I’ve been getting compliments

What a great video, lately I've been all about the undertone and what colors suits me but I've never really consider that much my overall body shape like a whole, so thank you so much! For future video ideas I personally believe it would be very helpful a video explaining different dressing codes, such as casual, white tie and others would be great! Also, I'm very confused about what to do with my hands (your hands by the way are always on point, really beautiful, clean and stylish) in different situations and positions (standing, seating, eating, in a reunion). I agree, sometimes it’s better to play up a feature, rather than try to balance it out. I like, for example, the way square necklines emphasize my square shoulders and jaw, rather than always trying to soften them with more curves. If I had nice wide hips, I would emphasize them, mine are too narrow.

I’m also cool-toned (Summer) and, as much as I love them, the warm beiges and camels of last year weren’t great on me. This Spring’s cooler neutrals, like Taupe, work so much better with my coloring. I’m not sure if you have looked at the Kibbe body system. In my opinion it is beautifully accurate about our bodies. For example you may be a soft gamine. This means you are petite, but have qualities of someone very tall and straight, combined with some curves such as your waist that comes in and hips and tops of thighs are rounded. This type of style looks amazing when a combination of romantic round lines with straight lines. A soft gamine looks really good with the line broken with some print or block colour.
