It's a personal breakdown, tbh. Genesis is retro to me, but in your position? I'd be saying 360 and PS3 are. Still, this just feels like they're trying to profit off of the glut of used games they have in storage given the market's expansion in that time period. You know they have just warehouses full of games they can't get rid of. TBH, the price should reflect it as well.
Regardless of that. This is not a good showing. You cannot pay people to take sports games a lot of the time. Only two kinds of people want them: The guys and gals insane enough to actually try and complete a library and the occasional sports nerd like me. The latter probably just wants the edition they remember the fondest which often coincides with championships or the real standouts like NHL '94.

Facebook post blocked me for saying this comment so I'll post it here
I remember when everybody was getting a PlayStation 2 and I still had a PlayStation 1, I went inside a GameStop asking if they had any PlayStation 1 games. One of the employees said that they didn't sell games like that and the vibe that I got was that they made me feel very stupid for being a poor kid
What makes me upset now is that all of a sudden GameStop wants to get into the business of retro games. The GameStop that I went closed a while after and I hope that GameStop retro doesn't have the same success or if they do they better sell cheap games

I’m just glad that they are stocking 7th gen stuff again, there are still a lot of games I need to cross of my list! The manager at the retro store I went to said that since this is all so new, most stores don’t have a lot of stock yet. They did have older gen stuff (NES, Genesis, etc) but they weren’t on the shelf yet. BTW, that Blitz game was mispriced (you can see on the sticker it says XBOX 360). This lack of knowledge can sometimes be used against them and you can score great deals. I’m willing to wait several months for them to get fully up and running before I give a verdict.

Either green and black, amber and black, or white and black. 5 1/4" floppy disks and DOS were the standard, and consoles like Atari and intellivision were the most advanced things you could get.
If course, nothing best the well done arcades of the era. Especially when there was neon adding ambience to the room. Oh the memories GameStop will never even begin to understand.

It also just launched. In order for them to have retro games with national availability. People have to be willing to trade stuff in. It will probably take them a 2 years+ to get it right(if ever) ultimately I think they will as this is likely the key to the company's survival. 10th gen consoles will not have physical disc's only likely. This has to work if Gamestop has any change of continuing

If you buy a new system and get a GameStop 1-2 year warranty, if you take it back within those time periods they’re required to replace them with a used system.
