Thank you so much for this, im 54 and suffering from.an enlarged prostate thankfully not cancerous, on prescripted medication and looking at new ways to exercise and help me today has been my first day amd i gladly clicked subscribed and clicked like thank you so much again.
Thanks for subscribing! Check out my bladder emptying videos as these will help you control the enlarged prostate symptoms too. Keep up the great work!
Awesome instruction Dr. Eric Leckie. I hurt my lower back while hiking in the military. And it turns out being sciatic nerve damage with low libido. However, your videos have helped me tremendously. Thank you kindly
Today is day one of learning about this. I have all of tge symptoms you discussed. I'm hopeful that I can do the stretching exercises twice or three times per day plus more walking. It's the start of a journey. Thank you.
Eric, Im trying these daily - meanwhile, I am still having urinary incontinence after prostatectomy 3 years ago and radiation daily for 6 weeks (70 greys). Should I continue Kegels? or are there other exercises I can do? Thanks as always, I have followed you for nearly 3 years now and at least I dont get worse.
Hi Jon, thanks for the comment. Let book in for a free call so I can learn a bit more about your situation and then advise you from there. I look forward to meeting you over Zoom: calendly.com/dr_eric_leckie/20min
Dr love the way you show the exercises yourselves. That's quite motivating. Seen these in Yoga but love the way you explain and have modified them. Your cat looks cool too. Hope to improve prostate and waking up at night to pee. Thank you From India.
I truly wanna thank you and I am so glad that I have subscribed to you because everybody saying medication‘s and all these different types of medicines are saying it’s better but I think let me change that I know that this is better for me and thanks to you. I will continue to follow And I will begin these other exercises. Also, I believe I have been doing this exercises but I didn’t know I was. This is very very interesting and like I said I’m going to be going over these videos and begin training tomorrow and I hope to hear from you soon again thank you so much.
I've only just started these exercises but the 2 I find the most difficult is the straight leg slides and the side to side rocks. With the second one I have great difficulty pointing my toes. I will keep referring to the video when I am doing these exercises. Otherwise everything else I can achieve and will carry on.
I've been doing these for the last few days along with yoga to build strength in the legs gultes and core .It something new , I have no idea weather it will benefit me or not to be honestly , but will keep trying because it something new. Trying everyday to do those excerises. Hopefully bridge pose, cobra pose, boat pose these will help too. It all just in hope
I've written before. I'm the one with no more prostate due to prostate cancer, and for a few years controlled incontinence with an implant from an expert on the subject. The need for a catheter led to rendering the implant not fully useful any longer. Your videos seem to be helping out in controlling episodes of leakage. There are emergencies when I am away from home, and, if I linger at the computer, the urine accumulates and gives me an unpleasant surprise when I stand up. Your suggests seem to be helping with those situations. Psychological technique might help - as in yoga with concentration on the area concerned. What is your opinion on a sort of psychological support added to the physical?
Hi Philip, thanks for another great comment! I'm glad the videos are helping you. I would add in a bladder alarm to start retraining the bladder. For instance, if I knew Iw as only able to hold my bladder for 2 hours, Id set an alarm on my phone to go off every 1.5 hours (during the day only) and then when the alarm goes off, I'd double void and fully empty. Over time I'd slowly increase this interval until I reached the 3 hour mark. Keep up the great work, Philip
Excellent idea. I might have to adjust the waiting time in case there is a premature bladder ambush, as you say. Here in Italy, the docs insist that I should drink 3 litres of water a day, that my system will adapt, an I think they may be right. I'm 84 now, but I have both Kung Fu and Yoga, which should help in learning control. In my office chair, I do now "think pelvic control" to some extent.
Thanks for the awesome instruction! Have to say: The way how you ask for thumbs up and subscriber is very smart 🤝. I payed already and it was a pleasure 😎. Greetings from Thailand
Thank you Dr Eric, I'm from India and following your videos. I have frequent and weak urination along with constipation. I used to practice your Pelvic relaxation exercise. Got excellent result in the beginning however slowly back to original state. I work always by sitting in front of computer also had forward bend posture. Now posture is almost corrected. Kindly advise which exercise I should follow as I see there are multiple. Also practiced Tennis Ball exercise for sometime.
I know my pelvic floor needs work. I have seen 2 series of stretches on your channel. One of them which I have started doing are a program of three stretches to be done every day. The other is a series of 5 stretches and seem to be for an advanced user. These are also to be done every day. Which of these should I be using?
@@DrEricLeckie I lift weights regularly, including goblet squats (50 lbs & 10 reps). Since starting the stretches I only have to get up once a night as compared to 2-3 times. To me that seems an improvement. Thank you Dr. Eric
You're the best I've seen in the last 7 years. But I have a problem. I don't see the subscribe button when I watch your videos, and I certainly want to subscribe. What do I do?
I suspect my pelvic floor is to tight so i started your strech routine. If i am doing the stretches to “loosen” up my pelvic floor should i be doing kegel exercises as well?
so it’s like working out other muscle right? you need proper hypertrophy volume of sets and workload. time under tension, time the muscle is being contracted when you reach enough of this, then the muscle will grow stronger, right?
Hi Eric, just following on with my struggle to do side to side rocks, I have plantar fasciitis in my right heel and bringing my toes towards me in the right foot causes hugh pain and a slight strain in the inside ankle. Can you please offer any advice here please?

I have recently taken the catheter off my phosphate was very good as were my kidneys. However i am still having difficulty passing urines' .I go walking every morning for 40 -45 minuets .and have do for a month or two now , I fine it a litter easier urine but during the day not so. Do you think that the walking is enough for exercise for the pelvic? my age is 80 years old thanks for yuor video
Hi Bruce, firstly, always follow the advice of your Urologist and Doctor for your specific situation. Walking is great for strengthening the pelvic floor. If you can add in a few hills here and there it would increase the effect too.
Aren't these exercises the opposite of kegels? Does that mean that when you do both kegels an these stretchs together they cancel each other out or what?
I feel pressed in tip of my urethra after peeing and after 2 mins 3-4 drops urine releases then it will be normal, am 25 years old, pls guide some measures..😢

Should we do these exercises twice a day or once a day for better results?
I started with once per day and then progressed to twice per day after a week or two after my body adjusted and got used to the stretches.
That was REALLY visualizing for us the goal. Well done cat.

Yes, it can certainly help relax your pelvic floor area, possibly giving you relief
