Wow... I had no idea how great her last two albums were...This track is so fresh, upbeat and should've been a huge international hit...R I P SINÉAD 🕊️ ❤️🩹
@@peaceofiona9198 just love the energy of them, cant stop smiling;) Not all the tracks are mine but some real classics in there too as good as anything she ever did.
I love this song so much... I love her Irish accent coming through.... From one Irishwoman to another... Rest in power beautiful fearless Sinead... 💔💔💔.... I will toast you regularly!!! ..🥂🥂🥂🥂.
I remember when she tore up the picture of the Pope. I clapped and admired her convictions. I grew up Catholic and denounced it when I became a young adult. Good for her for having the balls to do what she felt. Unapologetic....LEGENG!! Unfortunately, her life was marred by life changing moments. I will and forever be a huge fan. The Lion and Cobra...EPIC. Prince abused her and good for her for saying so. So she made him more famous for Nothing Compares To U, but she OWNED that song. Such a beautiful soul may she rest in peace with her son.
I'm sad to read that a lot of people realized only now how talented she was, and how each of her albums are so good. I miss her so much .. I saw her a few times on stage , memorable each time. Since 1987 , the year of her first album I like her music, her honesty, she was herself and speak what she got in her mind... it's really really sad to think I'll never see her on stage again ..
Sinead is an incredible artist who's always spoken the truth, regardless of the backlash. The world owes Sinead an apology and a whole lot of Love and gratitude for her beautiful music. Thank you and Godspeed.
@@memoriesmarmymind...5587 I had no idea of her passing when I wrote this. Energy as bright as Sinead's is never really gone, just transformed. Rest now Sinead, you inspired so much love and creativity in this journey.
I only started listening to her properly last year, became obsessed with her renditions of hymns and old Irish songs. No idea why I didn't start listening to her albums. Certainly I fell in love with her! anyway I like a lot of Beyonce songs and that sort of stuff, but I feel that stuff was jollied along into by a shape of what women are supposed to be being, well not foisted, but continually put to me that that is the cultural way to go. Corporate stylings and obscene wealth as a response to oppression. Then there's darling Sinead looking like goddess sat in a pub singing with old men and crumbs on the table. and all I see is oppression turned into love. She's written works that will live in the hall of Irish classics. It is a tragedy that she couldn't stay with us, a tragedy to think of her terribly sad and alone in that moment no matter how many people loved her dearly
A beautifully uplifting song and a brilliantly produced video - just the video I would have made for this song. Sinead may have sometimes appeared intense, negative, and unhappy on screen, but her joyous performance here shows an infectious warmth and sense of fun. A beautiful, honest, and natural human being.
I knew her a bit, and never observed her to be anything but kind, considerate, and so funny :-)). See what David Holmes had to say about her in The Guardian, where he compares her to Nina Simone -- exactly what he says, 100%. Cheerful and down-to-earth. I feel blessed to have known her for even a short time.
Just discovered this track!! I've been living under a rock and missed so many of her "newer" songs, even though I was a huge fan in the 1990's. What a force with talent unmatched.
4th vine is her best song ever. She was a fantastic musician her songs are really emotional and amazing. She had a tragic life and obviously was in alot of pain. Rest in peace xxxx
God she is so beautiful she really shines you can see the true Sinead in this video one of the best for sure. Keep her in your prayers. She is a beautiful and precious soul. We love you! Thank you Sinead... Please get well and keep singing and making your beautiful art.
This song makes me feel this is what she wanted. for her life.for her past. She truly wanted to be happy and free of pain. But she spent her life longing for love from her mother that she never got and the pain from that never went away. I feel a lot of that pain when you watch her last videos. She was so lost, sad, broken and felt alone.i hope her spirit is filled with happiness, love, peace and closure. ❤
My favourite song from Sinéad nearly 10 years ago - good memories. can’t believe it’s not on Spotify or the album it is from How about I be me - such an apt title. RIP Sinéad
Oh Sinead…My heart is broken with the news that we lost you today. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with the world. May you rest in peace and be reunited with your beloved son.
There is not a single day, when I do not listen her songs. Voice, music and lyrics - I do really love what she does. Sinead, kisses and regards for you, from Slovakia
Hi. Can you help me? . Im searching for a vídeo clip of a bald singer. But i dont know if shes sinead. The clip is : a family dinner and she sings while they eat. And she stand up to sing a lit bit angry. Thats all i remember. Thx .
Great to see Sinead O'Connor back in form and kicking ass. I really love this old-fashioned song, she puts it across extremely well. Great on you, Sinead!
Sinead is back!!! People, I cannot tell how happy I am as this summer she will come to Russia to take part in Wild Mint music festival and it's been my dream for sooo long to see her live. Dreams come true! Ooo-hoo-hoo!!!
uh huh... I remember this track, one of my favorites from that album... what a great video! She gave what she was supposed to. I knew she was in a downward spiral after her son committed suicide but I assumed her friends and family would initiate a successful intervention and treatment plan. I still don't know how she died... it seems they are going to shroud it in mystery and I hope it was not a suicide. People seem to only know here from the Prince song, but her albums always had 3 or 4 killer cuts. She also did guest appearances with other artists. If you love her Irishy songs check out "Factory Girl"; if you like her punkish rocker side you won't hear a track more erotic than "Put Your Hands on Me". She was , in all respects, a genuine artistic fireball. at peace, at last...
Just remembered this song after hearing about her death. Listened to this alot with my mother on a family vacation about 9 years ago? Good memories. Rest in peace.
Im Aussie and sinead makes me proud of my Aussie heritage She connects us so much Our love of people and hanging around, fire sides, barefooted and earthy It’s no surprise the Irish thrived in australia I saw her play here once I wish I wrote to her and told her how much her music and her outspokenness meant to me as a teenager trying to find my identity and grapple with the hypocrisy of the world Ive ended up working as a psychologist with survivors of child abuse and I hope she might’ve appreciated that her music and her voice in the matter often gives me strength to be there for my clients
I heard this on the radio too and i thought there's nothing more to make that song more perfect! Nice simple lyrics, simple guitars and great Sinead's vocal. Simply perfect!
The most beautiful song made me cry........ I love the whole song and the video is fantastic and I made my niece listen to it on her hen night and we all cried as it is quite stunning .....I wish it was re-released to share the love....... when MY daughters get married it’s a must .......💋❤️🤗

Yes They were both truly fantastic and her Take Me To Church should be equally big hit all around the world as Hozier's one.

Lyrics for anyone who wants them:
Gonna put my pink dress on
And do my hair up tight
I'm gonna put some eyeliner on
I'm gonna look real nice
I'm going down to the church
On 4th & vine
I'm gonna marry my love
And we'll be happy for all time
Yeah, he's the sweetest man you could find
So gentle and so kind
And he's got those big brown eyes
I can't believe me luck, he's mine
Not that he's no wuss
Girls, you know his love is serious
So warm inside
When he takes me for a buggy ride
When he takes me for a buggy ride
I will, I will, I will, I will
I do, I do, I do, I do
Gonna put my pink dress on
And do my hair up tight
I'm gonna put some eyeshadow on
It's gonna look real nice
I'm going down to the church
On 4th & vine
I'm gonna marry my love
And we'll be happy for all time
We're gonna have six children
And enough love for them
That they'll be happy all the time
I won't believe me luck, they're mine
They'll sing all day
They'll sing all night
Because their mama and their pa
A-love them so right
I will, I will, I will, I will
I do, I do, I do, I do
Gonna put my pink dress on
And do my hair up tight
I'm gonna put some perfume on
It's gonna smell real nice
I'm going down to the church
On 4th & vine
I'm gonna marry my love
And we'll be happy for all time
Yeah, he's the sweetest man you could find
So gentle and so kind
And he's got those big brown eyes
I can't believe me luck, he's mine
Not that he's no wuss
Girls, you know his love is serious
So warm inside
When he takes me for a buggy ride
When he takes me for a buggy ride
The best thing she's ever done, I just LOVE this :-)
