Well, Sinead was a great artist with a deep, honest, caring soul. But like many openminded, warm Whites, she fell for the rootlessness that infringed our sense of identity. Her passing and late suffering is a result of the lack of belonging while chasing for "individual freedom", which is actually isolation from who we are as part of our people, family and heritage.
When she ripped up that picture on live TV- around the same time my abuse was starting in earnest, she rose from Sister to Mother. Her voice is and will always be be in my blood. Dear Sinead, I carry you with me everywhere you've given me the courage to go. I will always love you, and will always struggle to go on.

They are the metals of my musical life, which i continue to wear to this day. When i heard of the passing of my beloved sister in pain and fellow artist SINEAD, i found that it's going take time process for me. I've suffered a spiritual blow & I cannot cry. As girl back in the 90’ s, a teenager, she represented all I wanted to embrace: authenticity,honesty, integrity, against all cliches and, most importantly, against what the main Stream wanted us to be, and what it wanted us to believe. I saw in her rebellious nature my rebellious nature. I am so so sad she is no longer here to keep us grounded with their music and her spirited , brilliant intelligence. What a terrible, terrible loss this world has undergone...and to know that her sadness was so great that she took herself from this earth.
