Very informative video. Thank you for explaining and answering all the questions I had in mind. Im hoping to get this done in the near future. Thanks again.
Really interesting bulid, looking forward to more videos👍
Tha is for the encouragement. I’d like to make more videos for sure!
looking to do this swap also! thanks for the video! info is lacking on this. i have an opportunity to buy a rear subframe with the goodies atm. i guess the bucket seat will have to wait.
Thanks for the video! I just subscribed. I’m looking to do the same as I’m upgrading turbos. I want to be able to put the power down 👍🏽
Thats the best way to upgrade the 335i rear end.
I think so too!
This project seems overwhelming... I have 2008 e93 335i and I would love this setup
@@jiminy293 1,000% worth it in the end though
Good video. I have installed the same m3 diff, stub shafts and am down to only having to get the driveshaft modified. I talked to a reputable driveline shop in my area and they have significant strength concerns about removing the stock flange and welding it onto the m3 dct piece. Do you have any pics/videos of your modified driveshaft? Thanks.
Hey John, sorry but unfortunately I was too impatient when it got to that part of the process and I just threw it in the car without taking pictures. The weld is fusion welded, so it has to be taken apart with a smaller shaft inserted inside of the driveshaft to give the new flange something to weld to. In other words, you have to insert a smaller diameter pipe in the end of the cut shaft to strengthen the flange.
Were those the same ratio? If so did you have to code the new ratio for MHD or tunerpro?
Great info!!!! do you mind me asking how much you paid for the M3 subframe, diff and driveshaft.. I believe you said you were in Ontario I am from Toronto🙏🏾
Where you get everything I want to do this
Where did you say you ordered this from??
So, how did it turn out?
Where did you find an m3 rear subframe?
I bought it from a dismantler on eBay
How did you make out? I'm in Ottawa. I have an E90 335i, I am currently doing a full DCT swap on it. It's a full caged race car I run at Mosport and CMP.
Hit me up if you're in the area.

Good to know! So far it’s been a great swap except I’m getting lots of drivetrain vibrations. The donor car was written off from a front end collision so I think the diff is fine. I believe my driveshaft isn’t balanced correctly
@@Highspoolteacher hit me up on FB if you like. I can help you out with your project if you like.

@@holeshot895 I’ve actually taken a leave of absence from all social media for a while, but I’ll send you a message through Messenger if that works!
@@Highspoolteacher sounds good, I can send some photos of what I have.
335i diff 2.56
M3 diff 3.15
335i diff 3.08
M3 diff 3.15
The 2.56 you are referring to doesn’t come on a 335i. It’s possible that it is the DCT diff for a 335IS, but I don’t know
@@Highspoolteacher if i have an auto 335i which m3 diff do i get
