Hindsight is 20/20. This plan of attack was extremely flawed. Some all thread, nuts, large fender washers and a large hole saw and you could have removed them with mechanical force for under 20 bucks. But I can certainly appreciate your tenacity…
I'm curious that you know how sway bar is working. If you make sway bar thicker on back you are gaining traction on front and you loose on back. It's all about weight balance. Also heat damage corrosion protection
Also isn’t the M3 track width actually wider than the E9X suspension? I think from memory it was an inch wider. So your hubs would be a half inch offset, How did that work out on your car?
Some people think that it’s wider but in fact it’s the exact same track width. The M3 has wider fenders so it can fit a bigger wheel, but the width is identical
Bruh how sore were you the next day. I’ve done similarly frustrating jobs but this looks rough. Also how did you like the Condors? Just heard about them and they seem legit
Hey man just came across your channel and am also turning my e92 into a track build. Wondering what options exist for a welded gear ring on my diff (6 speed manual).

Next time buy the bushing removal tool, would’ve taken you 5 minutes.
Where’s the fun in that? 😂

Thumbs up from me purely for your determination to hammer the crap out of it.

Thank you! I just purchased a set of these subframe bushings for my 335xi…(because race car).
Subbed, can't wait to see how things progress. Goal is to turn my n55 e92 335 into a time attack car so this may be in my future!
I think I'll just buy a bushing tool or hydraulic press 😅
lol you think

a machine shop will be able to remove the welded ring gear, then get it drilled and tapped for the bolt holes for a wavetrac or quaife LSD
You did wayyyy too much. I used a proper torch and smacked it out with a household hammer lol. You definitely don’t have to flip the subframe
Thank you b*ddy, I will be using your method to remove bushings today
