Gotta have enough head to prevent the pump from cavitation. The more head (gravity feed) from the tank the longer your pump will last. Gc on moving the pump into a lower position.
Sounds better but still a bit ruff when the throttle opens. I don't know what fuel pressure that facet pump is running but ya need at least a constant 7psi for carb motor usually & it's best to have your pressure gauge on the fuel tank return line before the regulator so ya can get a properly accurate adjustment
So what you guys would be experiencing with the bogging when stabbing the throttle is the accelerator pump squirting bulk fuel in. FCR's are a pumper carb so everytime you pump the throttle the accelerator pump/s (each card has one) will squirt a ton of extra fuel in which "should" give it a kick in the dick off the bottom. They are delayed so you'll stab then it'll be about 2 seconds before the accelerator pump stops squirting, you can hardwire them easily so there is no delay, I think it'll be helpful in trying to tune for consistency, common on bikes to hardwire, google will help you. Keep it up, get the thing to stop sounding like a Subaru haha
you need to have your fuel pump near the bottom of your tank, a surge tank in the boot makes sure you have fuel but fuel pumps work a lot better pushing fuel

Jake Stone the bike carbs require a low pressure pump which means it doesn't need to be in the tank
