Thank you for this video. I have a 335xi e90, and I'm currently making 420hp to the wheel. I want more power, so I appreciate you showing the pros and cons of significantly more power. Great video as always.
Very good video. For anyone that hasn’t dabbled in modification of their car, for the most part, you’re gonna trade comfort for power. Some builds are power/performance focused. Some comfort. Some in between. The differences are what separates builds. And what makes all builds awesome Bc it’s your build. Gang gang to all my car people 🤙🏼
Might consider Pinlock filtered ear plugs for highway trips. They are for motorcycles, I use them. Allow you to hear traffic sounds, conversation and music, but block out the drone and loud dB’s from wind and engine noise.
I relate to your clutch chatter comments. I have the Spec Stg 2 and the chatter is pretty noticeable. You just have to adjust your thinking to, "That's just how it sounds. That's just the way it is." Then move on with life.
i bought a 335i with a supposedly upgraded clutch (its making 430 whp on upgraded twins and an e85/91 split) and i was concerned about the sound it was making when i would start going and it was a relief to hear that this is a good sound and means the clutch is infact upgraded, so thank you very much
Got a 2011 335i a few months ago. Car's in the shop for engine replacement due to rod bearing failure (under warranty thank God lol) and they were nice enough to let me put some goodies on to run MHD stage 2+ and will be tuning with XHP. Should feel like a new car and hold me off power-wise for a while, but damn if it isn't already making me miss manual... Once she's payed off, will definitely be doing a tranny swap 🥲 Love the car man. Been a big inspiration for my car purchase. Now it's time to do "The Ultimate N55 Build". Complete built/closed deck converted block, all head work done with upgraded valvetrain, custom intake manifold without throttle body to optimize Valvetronic, and a big ol' Doc Race turbo kit!
@@mikemartin6857 I got very lucky for sure. Bought it from my Dad at the dealership he works for. Car had 102,000 miles with a thorough BMW dealership maintenance history. They sell Chevy so normally there wouldn't be a warranty at all, but was able to get one thanks to him. Two days after purchase, I heard a knock from the engine bay and knew what was wrong right away(While maintenance history was great, previous owner must've missed an oil change or something). New engine will have 30k miles less too, so definitely the best of a bad situation!
Yet another wonderful video Cristian displaying the day to day in your tire eating BMW. Nice to know everything you did to your ride and why you did it. Not only the Pros but also some of the Cons. A very balanced view of good and bad things driving a high horsepower BMW from day to day. Thanks again brother and keep knocking it out of the park!
Moderate launch seems the way to go, to be honest the clutch rattle is not that bad in my opinion. Open dump sounds 👌 Mufflers should sort out the drone
I want to put RB GFs on my car, MFactory diff, and all the steering & suspension upgrades. Then later down the line, if I can afford it, CES bottom mount kit w/ a built engine. Right now I'm at the maintenance stage, cause my car is at 103k. Water pump, oil pan, engine mounts, etc, and it's hurting my wallet 😭 But it'll hurt less than if a mod causes something I ignored to fail. Thanks for the great content, I'm following your advice closely to make my build seamless.
You can def daily drive a 700+whp single turbo 335i, the only scary part though is when you full throttle it on street tires in 1st/2nd gear. Car instantly goes sideways on my 740whp 335i.
Do you have a link or video on your build? Prices locations of parts etc. I’d like something like this. Probably not nearly as much hp but as far the reliable stronger components, I’d greatly appreciate it
Wow omg!!! Ur fuel price are killing in US . In Malaysia , the price of Ron95 is below and Ron97 is above . And the Ron95 price in Malaysia just RM 2.09 per litre which is just 0.50 USD per litreand Ron97 is about RM 4.00 per litre which is just 1usd per litre . I am so so grateful living in this rich country just like our lovely Brunei neighborhood country 😊 .
Clutch chatter is a easy fix bro. I have a dkm twin disk too. Raise your idle rpm to 900. Also my twin disk does not chatter when engaging and disengaging that’s interesting
I have a stock 528I xdrive. I wanna do a muffler delete and resonator but I have heard that if I take resonator out it will drone? Great content as always.
Good vid, bud. I just want to tell you - hearing loss is permanent and even in this day & age of technology, it can't be fixed! And as you age, other factors will take the good parts of life away, little at a time, and you'll look back AND say, "young me was such a fool!" Getcha a hi-flow muffler. Invent a bypass or quick install coupler, but straight-pipes for daily driving are a NO-GO, YO....
wow, the chatter is really bad. I went with twinclutch (sprung) from PTB (Germany) and the car behaves perfectly. Not like DMFW, but much much better than yours.
Thanks for ur honesty bro, sounds like a definite weekend car if this was mine. Could u swap out the manual for a dct from like a 335is or is that not strong enough. I have a 335is and shifts are super fast of course not as fun but how many supercars have stick shifts anymore

What resonator did you add to the vrsf exhaust? I bought my car and it came with the vrsf exhaust and both rear sections. The street version is nice but a little too quiet for me but I don’t want to add an ultra quiet just to have the same sound as the street rear section
