I was personally waiting for one of the Chapter 4 endings to show Balam in the majority rather than Arquebus. That sequence lent itself so well to alternate cutscenes showing the different factions in different situations which would have breathed a little life into the endings and make your choices feel a little bit more impactful, as it is sometimes I feel like the choices you make have very little impact to the overall plot aside from one or two dialogue differences and added mission elements. Of course I mean solely in terms of arquebus/Balam/RLF and not Walter/Carla/Rusty/Ayre/all mind story beads
@@WildFungus Walter doesn't talk to you during the Balteaus fight. Ayre cuts your coms remember? No one calls Balteaus a C-weapon. It wasn't built by the institute and it isn't powered by coral or designed to protect the coral. It's clearly not a C-weapon
Something to say about the sense of scale, a youtuber named Zulie the witch and another called Dropoff have both made videos showing that all objects are actually massive 'Tarnished For Scale' is a term both have used and even showed it via porting things interestingly enough
Thank you for this! Watched zulies video and after 4 full playthroughs I finally understand just how damn big my AC is. With the agility and speed you have I felt like the ac was likely 10 to 20 feet tall 😂. Zulie vid completely changed the way I see my ac and most in-game objects
@@MalcadorGamingpretty crazy that the Strider is so big it covers all of Limgrave and the Weeping Peninsula iirc. The thing seems massive as is, but that puts even Gransax to shame and has me thinking we might actually get to fight that big boi in the DLC.
I sided with Ayre last as far as endings go, assuming that siding with the nice voice that's been in my head for two playthroughs is going to be the "good" ending, and it felt genuinely good to do so literally up until the very second of coral convergence. I'm staring into the abyss of what looks like a black hole ready to presumably swallow up the universe and Ayre just goes "Isn't it beautiful?".....uhhhh
Depends on how you look at it. FromSoft games rarely leave things at a surface level; a character may only SEEM mad, a boss may SEEM simple or, in this case, Coral Release may SEEM as if it were a black hole. In a way, it is, but from context clues, most notably dialogue and the name itself, I already kind of figured out that it's not... NECESSARILY a mass extinction event. That is to say, it doesn't kill anyone in and of itself. O'Keaffe is a wellspring of info, implying that Coral Release would make humanity something... Other. In this sense, someone with a transhumanist or superhumanist (think Astartes from WH40K - they aren't transhuman, they're human but MORE) mentality might see something good, while a more "traditional" mindset like O'Keaffe's would find the idea horrifying. Just like Dolmayan, nobody wants to cast the die - because it's scary. And frankly, if I were provided the option IRL? Yeah, I'd be scared to cast the die, too. To be honest, I wasn't REALLY doing it for myself, or because I thought it was inherently the best option; I did it for Ayre, because I believed in her and *our shared dream.* In a way, to cast the die, you do need a firm belief - Caesar himself obviously wouldn't have crossed the river Rubicon and famously proclaimed "Alea Iacta Est" if he didn't think he had a chance. In that sense, you could also argue that the ending is a cautionary tale of blind belief - all depending on how you interpret it. I, for one, wouldn't really mind, so if Ayre is happy, I'm happy.
i actually just realized, that's not just a singularity, it's THE singularity. as in, the technological singularity, the point where humans and ai combine.
I'd need to see the awards and who they are against but I unfortunately doubt they will win much if anything. Not that it doesn't deserve it but it's a really stacked year especially with bg3. Widespread appeal and such
The nightfall raven that we fight in the game, i somehow always see most people think the pilot is female due to the voiceline that "raven's operator" had. And seeing how the operator talked and refers to, it feels like the nightfall raven's pilot is just another silent character like us. I mean, if it's the pilot who talked to us, surely it has another name to the subtitles (like chartreuse and kings has or any other characters).
If you keep close to the sea spider amd circle strafe it, there's almost nothing it can do to you as the lasers fire from the top amd the melee can't track you if you keep going in a circle.
Since my strategy for most bosses was just assault boosting, sticking to them like glue and kicking the shit out of them, I found the fight only moderately difficult. I was surprised when I saw how many people complained about this boss lol
my strategy all game is vroom vroom im an annoying fly frick you and **DIE** before i do. yeah ngl sea spider was easy for me beat em on my second try and only failed on my first because i got jump scared
Ooh that's interesting. Everyone I know honestly forgets about the enforcer but hate the spider. Definitely wanna try different builds at some point to see what struggles where
It's really interesting hearing the differences in how players handled different bosses. Ones i struggled with, you seemed to ease through, and ones you struggled with, I thought were easy. Loved your analysis of the game, well worth the long watch
I think in ending 3 when Iguazu says you killed him 3 times, he means him and all the people that Allmind merged with, that being Sulla, O'Keefe and Iguazu, as all 3 of them were candidates for Coral Release which Allmind needs after she claims 621 and Ayre.
@MalcadorGaming Well, it was mentioned it was copies of the Vespers. It may just be their loadouts and skillsets given that Allmind already has all of that data within the Arena fights. Given that we see the remains of Carla and Walter's ACs in ending 3, it might be safe to assume the smaller suits surrounding Iguazu may be the remains of the copied Vesper units.
Having fought him WAY too many times, I'm like 90% sure he says you killed him 2 times. Let's see, I should still have some footage lying around... "You killed me. But not just once. Well, there's a whole lot of us inside of me now. Dregs with a grudge. So tell me. Who else are you going to kill?" Damn, guess I didn't remember after all, looks like he leaves the number ambiguous.
Yeah, personally I did the fires ending first and it really feels like Liberator should've been locked to Ng+ and beyond, like how Allmind is locked to Ng++ and beyond. Also makes the presentation feel as if Fires is meant to be canon ending while the other two are variations of "well but what if"
2 things to note about the ice worm: 1) as far as i know you are gauranteed to kill the boss in 3 damage phases and 2) ally deaths aren't scripted, i've seen chatty survive the entire fight
I've actually seen some people fail the damage phase before, mainly people who had low ammo weapons that ran out on ads. I see they aren't scripted but for all intensive purposes they kind of are given how their ai works with the damage most people won't have them live
Honestly I would love DLC that changes the game so that we can join the redguns and save Michigan or join arquebus I probably won't happen but it'd be neat.
Just realized Carla didn’t help Rusty the way she helped us in his rush against the fleet. AND if I’m correct he also didn’t have infinite energy. How did we ever beat him lol
I love the sea spider, man. Not my favourite boss, but it's not bad. Actually I don't think any boss in this game is actually bad. They range from ok to excellent, and that's one hell of an achievement. Also, Walter, Carla and Nagai didn't fear the Coral because of it's highly combustible property. They fear the unknown potential that it could do to humanity as a whole after witnessing what Walter's father's experiments brought to life. Nagai himself was the one who set up the fires of Ibis, it did not happen on its own.
Honestly, during the NG+2 counter-hack mission with Iguazu, it's much easier to fight the stealth mechs with him, but I always like to ignore his proposal and gun him down immediately anyway. His reaction is hilarious
Michigan was an absolute mvp throughout the whole game. Respecting his fellow soldiers, had enough insight to know he was being an asshole, gave his people a chance to back out, respected you even tho he knew he might die and didn't want any glory when he died. And to make it even more sad, it was stated in his will that when he dies, he wanted everything to go to his last squad, Furlong. Goddamn hero... "he died of a bad fall"..
Great video my guy. It was blast listening to your playthrough and how you interpreted the endings. This is my game of the year and has been the most fun I've had in a very long time haha
Theres a lady in my head who calls me "studmuffin" I also find it really funny that iguazu malded so hard that he became part of an AI and even overpowered it.
37:08 sea spider is actually pretty doable. Granted i was playing with a pretty quick bloke that was skilled in just kinda floating above the enemy. Avoids the melee and the rest is a matter of well timed dodges
the one thing ac6 is missing is the range game. ac5 (still one of my absolute favs of the franchise) had railguns and sniper cannons with ranges that could reach you from a different postal code, and were just as fun to play as faster designs. please, FromSoft, a remaster of the gen 4&5 games, esp since 6 blew up the way it did
I have seen it before in other places and want to echo it here as well. I am so glad for From Software to make a new Armored Core game and what a banger of game it was! Here is to hopefully more Armored Core in the future!
The cataphract was one of the most fun boss fights I've ever played. I was ecstatic when they threw it and two ACs at me in a later fight. I only wish the game let me go it alone.
A funny thing happened to me when I was playing. There are living apartments ingame which looks exactly one to one I lived in my entire life. I'm from Eastern Europe and all buildings ingame looks like my neighborhood, so it constantly felt like home.
You don't have to bring down those Sea Spiders at the true end fight, the clue is since Iguazu managed to desync Ayre, he might be possible to desync Sea Spiders too (which he does) and no, I love Iguazu as the underdog boss fight
@@MalcadorGaming You actually don't have to deal with the other ACs in the first phase either, if you focus on taking Iguazu down they will deactivate as you transition into Phase 2, fighting them or the Sea Spiders is literally just wasting ammo, and no the Sea Spiders will spend most of their time trying to juggle both you and Ayre, failing miserably I might add, so they are there just to get in the way.
Taking out the tester AC is the one mission I always take my Headset off. That nameless' person's dreams dying Infront of you, from your hands, I can't listen to that. Even though I am playing an Armored Core game.
Interesting you found the spider such a hard boss. Maybe i just had the right build for the fight but i had MUCH more trouble with the ibis and allmind fights. I love how much difference your build and playstyle makes
Just finished video. It also blew my mind when you said the big floaty orbit things in phase 2 of allmind fight were easy to take down lol. For me the only way I could win the fight was to ignore them completely and focus down allmind. I love the variety of approaches supported by many of these bosses, such good design
Fun fact about the Sea Spider, you can actually land on top of it for the 2nd phase. I mean it'll go towards the ceiling but you can get a good chunk of damage on it. On my first playthrough I think I was using dual Ludlows and a melee weapon. I ended up having to punch and stab it to death
4:46 9? 1 day? ROOKIE NUMBERS. the first three days after release, I played for 14 HOURS STRAIGHT, then slept 14 hours. I beat that game in A WEEK and had to force stop myself from keeping playing it after my sixth playthrough so I wouldn't burn it out.
I played like 300 hours on this game and I've never heard the dialogs from Chatty and Iguazu in the Ice Worm mission. And one more thing the Ibis Bossfight is not the only one who have a second phase. The Enforcer, Ibis Iguazu, Ayre in the Sol, Snail, The Cleaner, Rusty in the second AC, and Balteus and of course Cell have a second phase, others more visual than others. For example the Enforcer starts to overheat the engine and you can see it glowing and the cleaner for example leaves melt steel on the floor. Still I love this game but I prefer For Answers, more dynamic and iconic moments, missions and bosses,
Given how games and DLCs are released in the current gaming industry, I wonder if we'll see a traditional standalone AC game within the 6th Generation, or if we'll just see a major DLC expansion to Fires of Rubicon. A part of me hopes is a standalone, and it gives the 6th Gen a major glow up like FA did for 4th gen, and VD did for 5th. I'd absolutely love to see an across the board refinement of 6th with tons of more parts and a follow-on story set some time later to really show us the true aftermath of what happened on Rubicon. Stellar video, Malcador! I watch this one, the 5th, and 4th gen videos all today! Have been a major fan of the AC franchise since I was a child, with the 4th gen (particularly FA) being my undisputed favorite. 6th is objectively better is just about every way. But I just love the 4th gen, namely the NEXTs. I'd love to see more of what 6th can do, especially when its further refined, but I'd frankly be okay with the bosses being a little less over-the-top and returning to a more Arms Fort style fight or cracked out ACs. Funnily enough, I think Intercept the Redguns was probably the most traditional Armored Core mission in terms of difficulty. Would love to see more of that!
Nightfall Raven is a huge mystery. You can think of the AC as a silent pilot listening to a handler, like yourself. You can think of the Operator as the pilot, talking to someone who you simply can't hear. Or, my personal favorite (despite being the least likely option) is the Operator is the pilot, talking to a Coral lifeform just like you.
I like how you said you felt the endings didn't come off as good or bad endings. All of them do accomplish something in the end. This might be a little controversial, but i loved the Fires of Raven ending. After everything we had seen about Coral we know the dangers it can present through the weapons it controls, we're able to fulfill Walter's last wish, and(this is very farfetched) while we do betray Ayre Rubicon is closed off forever so if the Coral does build itself up again in the future like it did from the Fires of Ibis humanity won't be around to abuse it anymore.
Honestly every ending is great for its own reasons and we won't know if anything is actually cannon unless there's an actual sequel or they pull an acv
Watching this video again after playing AC6 5 times got me emotional, i still remember when my jaw dropped when i heard Walter's voice in the Liberator of Rubicon route and how the fight feels less like a triumphant battle of ideals and more like putting down your dying father figure while he desperately try to regain consciousness I'd say aside from the amazing combat and art design, the audio is what made the game for me, especially for the excellent music and voice acting tying everything together, and it's something that From has maintained with the new Elden Ring's DLC and i hope they keep up w it
@@MalcadorGaming I usually go around with melee, and it worked pretty well when I got the hits in. Just a matter of being hit back a lot of the time. But it feels so damn good when I kill a boss with melee.
Daemon X Machina is another good, fast mecha game that fans of AC6 will definitely enjoy. In fact, I consider it the AC sequel game (in spirit) before AC6's arrival.
Personally, id love some DLC that adds even more parts. I need more mech drip. Wish we couldve got the parts for allminds mech, it looks sick. Also as someone who struggles with some amount of insecurity, I actually feel bad for iguazu. When you fight him in allminds bosses phase 2, for the first time I feel like you get to see his true potential, even if for a short time. Potential he always had, but never saw in himself. When you self loathe to such a degree, you begin to grow bitter and angry., even when others push you to be your best. That being said, iguazu is kind of a asshole about it.
Part dlc used to be a thing and kind of is rn. But I guess we will get more anyway when and if an actual dlc happens. That is also a pretty interesting insight on iguazu
the spider to me was on the list of easiest bosses to fight, CEL-240 however not inherently hard was the MOST infuriating one just because she constantly blinks out of sight then just hands your ass back to you if you aren't quick, out of all "roadblocks" the IBIS/CEL-240 fight was pretty much the only one. and it suuuuuuuucked.
The spider on more playthroughs for me is much easier, in contrast cel even with new gear has never really been made easier. Definitely sucks but not as bad as ACFA destruction ending lol
Okay even if it is in passing.. I am just so happy Zone of the Enders was even shown a bit.. It's an absolute gem that I'm hoping AC6 will help bring back some of that feeling as I remember from ZOE way back when.
I must admit I don't really understand the hate towards the sea spider I hate more than the orbital lasers to be honest I punched the thing to death after I ran out of ammo😂
1:32:27 this is straight up wrong. Walter, Carla, and other RI scientists never knew that the coral is sentient, and while from the perspective of a non-sentient coral either endings can be seen as good or bad (though even here one is unquestionably quite worse; let's say the convergence is inescapable. The human rubiconians could still be evacuated from the planet), with the knowledge of coral sentience the monster who burned the stars is by far the worse ending because we can still hope to stop the postulated coral explosion as we and ayre herself can communicate with the coral based rubiconians. Furthermore walter's apprehensions about the dangers of coral itself are unfounded since the two reasons towards the dangers of the coral he gives are pretty much null and void with the knowledge of the coral being sentient: 1. The coral multiplying is just a direct result of it/them being sentient life forms. 2. The initial fires of rubicon was also instigated by the researchers themselves, as they didn't understand that coral was sentient, only that it was a resource to make incredibly strong weapons for war and that it was "unstable" (again, a feature of life, all life is in flux). So the bad ending is doubly bad not only because it would kill all the human rubiconians just because of the hubris and ineptitude of a few scientists, but also the coral based rubiconian life, which i must stress again are not only sentient but as intelligent and emotional as humans. That ending is unquestionably a genocide of staggering proportions and there are no two ways about it.
One thing I want to add though, Dolmayan himself isn't afraid of coral because of walter's own concerns but because of his companion coralite (I'm just going to call them that now) desire for coral convergence, an event that seeks to grant the coralites physical bodies through which they can interact with the world. This specifically is rejected by Dolmayan, but we can do it in the third ending ofc where the ending cutscene is not particularly optimistic or pessimistic, just that it is a massive shake-up for the world as they now welcome an entire new species of sentient beings in their midst. Dolmayan's aversions are not borne from a massive coral explosion like the Rubicon Institute feared but rather the actual coral release, that again isn't actually bad.
Daily Reminder that Nightfall is officially piloted by Karl Urban, the guy who loves saying Cunt in The Boys, also one of the best Judge Dredge there is. Its literally shown in one of their trailers.
My interpretation of the convergence ending is that the coral assimilated all the concessness of every person on rubicon 3 and put them into mechs. This kids reviving everyone we know. But that’s probably me just coping tho…
I shed a tear when that first reveal trailer for AC 6 dropped. The convergence ending reminds me of the age of stars ending in Elden Ring. You upend the entirety of everything, bringing about a new age
I'd really like to see another Chromehounds type of game. Or Mechassault. Having the mechs move a bit slower gives them heft, and firing a big big gun, seeing your mech sink into the dirt for a moment, is just wonderful.
I really like your interpretation of the ending. Ive been trying to make sense of the... time loop? aspect implied with dialog and new game plus, but i couldnt figure it out. Your interpretation made allot of things suddenly make sense to me
Not gunna lie I spent too much time thinking if time loop was the case. We won't really know unless we get a dlc that has a new ending or continues after
This was a great video and you did indeed went pretty in depth with the lore, as for the Third Ending, my take on Alea Iacta Est is similar to what you surmise, like Neon Genesis Evangelion "Human Instrumentality Project", "Coral Release" aims to push Humanity into a next step, but unlike Eva, "Coral Release" doesn't aim to merge all Human consciousness into a single entity and merge that with Coral what it does as far as I understood is merging singular Human consciousness with singular Coral being in the same way Ayre ends up living in 621 brain for most part of the game meaning in the end Humanity as a whole merge with Coral. On the topic of clarifying some things you clearly misunderstood, Mutation in Coral aren't the cause of it igniting, Coral by itself is a sublime power source that is really volatile when expose to anything that triggers flames, Professor Nagai was the one to Ignite the Fires of Ibis, Coral in itself doesn't want to Ignite as it is equal to self genocide, when the game talks about Coral Mutation it refers to entities like Ayre, which is a Coral Mutation Wave capable of self awareness, this means lower concentrations of Coral can't create being like Ayre and that they just come into being when larger colonies of Coral converge, another misconception you have is that Allmind's research into Autonomous crafts is vital for Coral Release, which it isn't Coral Entities can inhabit machines on their own, travel through circuits and hack directly into machines as seen in Ayre hacking into Allmind's secret logs, faking official missions so you can go into the geological survey meaning once Coral Release is achieved, Humanity now living as a disembodied consciousness in a fully mutated Coral Wave can do just as Ayre and possess machines, robots and ACs just as easily.
3:55 that line of choppers is going to give me nightmares for weeks… Bonus tip: in the mission where you survey the Xylem and fight the chopper on that level, an all-missile build is infuriatingly useless because of these little things called *flares*
I beat Balteus and sea spider pre nerf and I gotta say, I had way more trouble with Balteus than the spider. I think I lost to the spider once, but I lost count to balty
i remembered fighting the Spider for the first time, running a Scudder with double missile Salvos and a sword while on bipedal. It didn't go well so I decided to say "fuck it, we ball" and swap to the funny big treads with gatlings and songbirds I breezed it proceeded to put it away the rest of my playthrough I finally went double zimmers when you fight the enforcer inside the wall and yeah I uh...did not let them go and still don't don't get me wrong, I've made non zimmerman builds (dual Ludlows, dual pulse gun and haldemans, etc) but good lord post nerf they still hit you with the force of a Coral Sun and it doesn't even have the Coral
@@MalcadorGamingidk why I’m replying to this 4 weeks late But if you want a quicker way to kick the shit out of the sea spider Plasma guns are also good
My feelings when playing this game really ping pong between: "Damn, did I built it right? I'm not sure" when I start and "this is the coolest shit!" when I play
I am kinda surprised that AC never introduced an easy version of the gameplay. I can understand why many turn their backs upon the series. It can be quite overwhelming when playing this game at times.
It's been from soft philosophy for ages. One control style one difficulty that puts everyone on the same level so you don't have to deal with scaling damage or whatever. Although hard mode is a thing for the series that is fun
@MalcadorGaming so true. I would have thought that they may have softened their approach to the game. 3 repair bars were a surprise yet like I mentioned, I really thought they might add an easier/softer version of the game. I have seen many friends who are gamers turn their back upon the Armored Core series due to the difficulties associated with gameplay.
I am not 100% sold on the exclusively short ranged combat but AC6 is incredibly fun nevertheless. FromSoft found the perfect balance of speed, agility and weight to combat. The gameplay is slick, fluid and addictive, I have been repetitively playing since its release. I really hope we get an even better For Answer style follow up.
I love the fact that you are using some soundtracks from Signalis, for example SIGNALIS - MNHR. Just watching your videos one can find a lot easter eggs if that is the right way of wording it. Keep up the good work.
@namelessking8049 ohhh that would be cool, I'd like to see shoulder equipment too depending on what the gameplay is like. Even if it's just retaliation missles or flares
I don't get that feeling. It looks like a default "Bad" ending. You basically commit double genocide and personally dispose off Rasty and Ayre. You're literally called a monster at the end of it. While the only downside of Liberator is that you stab in the back Carla and Chatty.
@@vermillioncross657 yup... good part for the liberator ending or allmind end is for to extend content for future dlc/sequel to see humanities reaction and coral reaction to humanities (disturbing) desire, also need more parts for RJ, Tetras/Quads, tanks, and hover legs
I love how G6 Red is RIGHT but his mind hasn't figured out how or why hes right. His subconcious has noticed the patterns, his gut instinct is SCREAMING at him that something is wrong but his conciousness hasn't figured it out so his dialogue sounds unhinged. So good.
To me, the most interesting thing this game has after you finish it is the AC creator. I have 87 mechs created, and planning on continuing to make those since it's kind of a relaxing process to me, a good mean to have fun, discovering new stuff and empty your head ^^
I truly hope that AC6 truly causes a surge in quality Mecha Games. I doubt the BIG Publishers will jump on, because they're just going to keep doubling down with the same, tired, overly monetized garbage that made me nearly quit gaming alltogether. But even if the Smaller Devs push quality Mech content like this out every so often (Or BandaiNamco decides to stop snorting cocaine and make a competent Gundam Game that isn't a Sony Exclusive), I think I'll be fine. for a while, anyway.
I hope so as well as I'd really like to see a properly good gundam game or even a imperial knight based game from warhammer. At the very least we will see more ac
@@MalcadorGaming my Dream Gundam Game is a proper OYW mech sim. Mechwarrior feels too slow and clunky, yet G-Evo is too loose and weightless. I personally love the Sea Spider. Its got a dope visual design and I like the way it'll leap towards you and try to curb stomp you with its melee arms 😂. Also its second phase was a cool twist and its spinning attack is even cooler, even if I find the phase to be easier overall.
I disagree with your assessment of thr Sea Spider. You can beat it pretty easily in phase one with almost any build by circling around it at very close range. When it goes for the melee, boost forward under it and it'll overshoot you by a billion miles. Lighter builds can avoid most of the boss's damage in phase one. In phase two, tetrapod builds are the best Ive found. You can hover above it and it just cant hit you. You'll have to go to ground a few times to refill on EN, but if you make good use of yoir time in the air you can pummel it with heavy weapons from complete safety.
there's an interesting tidbit in the missions especially if you die in the protect the dam mission.... Branch is there not to conquer the dam.. no no... ITS TO LURE YOU OUT and TAKE YOU OUT.... the dam is just a pretense OBVIOUSLY... not a first in AC history.... destroy floating mines, occupy ateria carpals are basically the same idea

This game better win something at The Game Awards. Any awards, Best Gameplay and Art Direction especially.
I'd need to see the awards and who they are against but I unfortunately doubt they will win much if anything. Not that it doesn't deserve it but it's a really stacked year especially with bg3. Widespread appeal and such
It has a good shot at Best Action

Unfortunately it was only nominated for one category, best action game. Thankfully though it managed to win said award.
Voice acting and dialogue writing is superb in AC6. Still enjoying without skipping all mission briefings and in game comments.
The acting is so good it made my playthrough of 4 and for answer hard at times lol
Wouldn't be the first time people would think that, there's still arguments about who the pilot is of White Glint in FA.
I honestly just see her as female because the art that popped up
Well anyone familiar with Armored Core knows all raven pilots have operators it's always been like that I think.
there are a few evidences that suggest that nightfall raven is actually 617
@@StrelitziaLiveries like what? Because as far as I know 617 is dead.
If you keep close to the sea spider amd circle strafe it, there's almost nothing it can do to you as the lasers fire from the top amd the melee can't track you if you keep going in a circle.
That's actually what I figured out recently for my s run lol
Since my strategy for most bosses was just assault boosting, sticking to them like glue and kicking the shit out of them, I found the fight only moderately difficult. I was surprised when I saw how many people complained about this boss lol
my strategy all game is vroom vroom im an annoying fly frick you and **DIE** before i do. yeah ngl sea spider was easy for me beat em on my second try and only failed on my first because i got jump scared
Yeah it can't hit close range fast builds at all and you can just sit on it's head in phase 2.
That’s what I did the first time I fought it, but it fricking started flying
Its very cool to see the difference in what bosses people struggled with. i came to hate the enforcer, but the C spider gave me very little trouble
Ooh that's interesting. Everyone I know honestly forgets about the enforcer but hate the spider. Definitely wanna try different builds at some point to see what struggles where
With the Enforcer I recommend a lightweight Reverse joint build as it struggles with airborne AC's.
@@awesome_by_default That was my experience with C-spider. Tetrapod and just hanging out above it seems to nullify most of its attacks.
Mine were Enforcer and Ayre. But nothing gave me fits like some of the NG++ missions (defend the strider is short but insane)
@@johnwhite8847 I hated that one so much. I eventually discovered how well missile spider builds work for it. Just Aperitif and Soups on quads.
It's really interesting hearing the differences in how players handled different bosses. Ones i struggled with, you seemed to ease through, and ones you struggled with, I thought were easy.
Loved your analysis of the game, well worth the long watch
I love that about ac and from soft games in general. It's fun to see how people's skill sets were tested. And thanks! I'm glad you liked it
I think in ending 3 when Iguazu says you killed him 3 times, he means him and all the people that Allmind merged with, that being Sulla, O'Keefe and Iguazu, as all 3 of them were candidates for Coral Release which Allmind needs after she claims 621 and Ayre.
I thought that too for a bit but it's implied they merged the vespers as well so idk
@MalcadorGaming
Well, it was mentioned it was copies of the Vespers.
So tell me. Who else are you going to kill?"
Damn, guess I didn't remember after all, looks like he leaves the number ambiguous.
@@Tigersight0 I can't remember if he actually states the number during the fight... Damn... I need to redo that fight 😆

Yeah, personally I did the fires ending first and it really feels like Liberator should've been locked to Ng+ and beyond, like how Allmind is locked to Ng++ and beyond. Also makes the presentation feel as if Fires is meant to be canon ending while the other two are variations of "well but what if"
Honestly I can see any of the endings being true. Especially after finishing 4/A
Right, I'm on N+ and was like I think I fucked up doing the Liberator of Rubicon ending first and wish I did the other ending first.
@@MalcadorGamingI'm one of those people and it happened on my first try 💀
Honestly I would love DLC that changes the game so that we can join the redguns and save Michigan or join arquebus I probably won't happen but it'd be neat.
It'd be nice but probably yea
@@MalcadorGaming Yeah..
Just realized Carla didn’t help Rusty the way she helped us in his rush against the fleet. AND if I’m correct he also didn’t have infinite energy. How did we ever beat him lol
The only thing I can think of is maybe he'd had the rlfs help? They were arguably the major fighting force there but still its crazy lol
Bro is just built extraordinarily different.
He likely would have had the energy boost, since that was an environmental effect of the altitude the fleet was holding at.
I like the sea spider more after getting the s ironically, also yea I may have left that out on accident
If you count nepenthes or whatever that energy weapons platform was, then there is one bad boss.
Where’s the info about his will?

Great video my guy. It was blast listening to your playthrough and how you interpreted the endings. This is my game of the year and has been the most fun I've had in a very long time haha
Theres a lady in my head who calls me "studmuffin"
I also find it really funny that iguazu malded so hard that he became part of an AI and even overpowered it.
37:08 sea spider is actually pretty doable. Granted i was playing with a pretty quick bloke that was skilled in just kinda floating above the enemy. Avoids the melee and the rest is a matter of well timed dodges
the one thing ac6 is missing is the range game. ac5 (still one of my absolute favs of the franchise) had railguns and sniper cannons with ranges that could reach you from a different postal code, and were just as fun to play as faster designs.
please, FromSoft, a remaster of the gen 4&5 games, esp since 6 blew up the way it did
and the charge burst rifle is far the better rifle in 6, even after the patch
I'd love to see all of those get remade or re-released but given different companies published them it might not be possible
It's amazing how different people experience this game. I had a really hard time with the cleaner and had a really easy time with the spider.
Same here lol. The enforcer gave me a hard time as well
I have seen it before in other places and want to echo it here as well.
I loved the Ibis fight. So cool looking
the cataphract is easily one of my favorites as well. Just a great design
"Wake the dog up"
Now if Square Enix could make an actually good Front Mission game again, we could be in the best timeline.
A funny thing happened to me when I was playing. There are living apartments ingame which looks exactly one to one I lived in my entire life. I'm from Eastern Europe and all buildings ingame looks like my neighborhood, so it constantly felt like home.
You don't have to bring down those Sea Spiders at the true end fight, the clue is since Iguazu managed to desync Ayre, he might be possible to desync Sea Spiders too (which he does)
and no, I love Iguazu as the underdog boss fight
Wait what, it's such a habit for me to deal with the support enemies in games I never realized
@@AyameAkito interesting, I imagine it's important for s at least. When I got my s I killed everything
Yeah i did the same after realizing that. Its hard to build an AC killer while carrying enough ammo to kill both sea spiders.

AWESOME video btw.
It is kinda funny how that works lol the spider made me sadge
Hah nice, I can't really do more than 9 at a time. It's kind of my personal limit to both not burn out and also just tired
Love the video. Also liked the use of the Signalis OST in this.
I'm glad you liked it! And yea the signalis ost goes soo hard
Still I love this game but I prefer For Answers, more dynamic and iconic moments, missions and bosses,
To be fair. The only reason i never Played AC games before Fires of Rubicon is because all of them are console exclusives.
Balteus’s song was genuinely so good, I’m not sure exactly what it was but it was just so good at hammering in the energy of the fight
I'm glad you enjoyed! And absolutely agree with the arms fort thing.
This is straight up one of the best games I've ever played and I've been playing games since like 1993
You missed out
Nightfall Raven is a huge mystery.
It was the humans fault not the coral. Coral shouldn't die to save humanity
surprised this doesnt have many views so im commenting for algorithm's sake

Haha ty ty, I hope you enjoyed
Watching this video again after playing AC6 5 times got me emotional, i still remember when my jaw dropped when i heard Walter's voice in the Liberator of Rubicon route and how the fight feels less like a triumphant battle of ideals and more like putting down your dying father figure while he desperately try to regain consciousness
I'd say aside from the amazing combat and art design, the audio is what made the game for me, especially for the excellent music and voice acting tying everything together, and it's something that From has maintained with the new Elden Ring's DLC and i hope they keep up w it

Ive never played an armored core game but i love armored core 6
I highly recommend emulating the older games on pc, namely gen 4 if you can't find a copy for a console
Daemon X Machina is another good, fast mecha game that fans of AC6 will definitely enjoy. In fact, I consider it the AC sequel game (in spirit) before AC6's arrival.
It was made by the og ac team too right?
I didn't even notice that Kate was the same VA as allmind, makes sense
It's waaay more obvious in the jp version ngl
Really loved this game. Got all 3 endings.
the spider to me was on the list of easiest bosses to fight, CEL-240 however not inherently hard was the MOST infuriating one just because she constantly blinks out of sight then just hands your ass back to you if you aren't quick, out of all "roadblocks" the IBIS/CEL-240 fight was pretty much the only one. and it suuuuuuuucked.
I actually finally got to zoe for my video and loved it for thr most part. Kind of a shame it flew so low under the radar
Furthermore walter's apprehensions about the dangers of coral itself are unfounded since the two reasons towards the dangers of the coral he gives are pretty much null and void with the knowledge of the coral being sentient:
I really really, really, hope the way true ending ends means, that we will get a sequel in a couple of years
Given how it's thier 2nd highest selling game ever id be shocked if they never did
I shed a tear when that first reveal trailer for AC 6 dropped. The convergence ending reminds me of the age of stars ending in Elden Ring. You upend the entirety of everything, bringing about a new age
I was also very emotional
I believe AC 6 fires of raven ending is suppose to be this timelines version of the great destruction from the last game
I'd really like to see another Chromehounds type of game. Or Mechassault. Having the mechs move a bit slower gives them heft, and firing a big big gun, seeing your mech sink into the dirt for a moment, is just wonderful.
To add Lore, RAD made the loader unit
I started at last raven, one of the best one for me
Okay, but fighting Raven/Ayre and their army of Coral-Posessed ACs will make an awesome ACVI sequel.
given we are getting a sequel i am curious to see where we are going

Will do! hoping to have my next video done soon but have run into some stuff delaying it past my normal schedule
3:55 that line of choppers is going to give me nightmares for weeks…

So good.
Amazing video so I'll come back and watch the rest when I play the game
To me, the most interesting thing this game has after you finish it is the AC creator. I have 87 mechs created, and planning on continuing to make those since it's kind of a relaxing process to me, a good mean to have fun, discovering new stuff and empty your head ^^
Armored Core 6 has me a fan and now I want to see a mech game genre rebirth
Same! I Highly recommend for answer if you liked 6 that much too. It's actually ig and 4 I'm doing one big video on soon
There's got to be a good, healthy middle-ground that makes you feel like you're in the seat of the properly gigantic Mobile Suit and have access to the full kit of the machine.
never gonna happen though, as BandaiNamco is afraid of Niche unless Fromsoft is involved.
:(
@BlitzkriegOmega Battle Operations 2 was pretty fun.
The defend the Strider can be steamed rolled if you have an all missiles build like Carla’s
I actually should try that, i thi k I only did it once to fight the enforcer and didn't really like the play style
Love your vid, absolute stunning and your narration is very catching, I wish you all the best on this platform
Appreciate the kind words! I do apologize for my sickness when recordeding, struggled a little
I personally love the Sea Spider. Its got a dope visual design and I like the way it'll leap towards you and try to curb stomp you with its melee arms 😂.
Also its second phase was a cool twist and its spinning attack is even cooler, even if I find the phase to be easier overall.
its a perfect mix of 4Answer and V. V lacked the awesome boosting and flying.
I found the Sea spider to be quite easy XD
The second Balteus fight had me stuck hahaha
Is that “I ate my twin in the womb” during the outro?
I disagree with your assessment of thr Sea Spider. You can beat it pretty easily in phase one with almost any build by circling around it at very close range. When it goes for the melee, boost forward under it and it'll overshoot you by a billion miles. Lighter builds can avoid most of the boss's damage in phase one.
In phase two, tetrapod builds are the best Ive found. You can hover above it and it just cant hit you. You'll have to go to ground a few times to refill on EN, but if you make good use of yoir time in the air you can pummel it with heavy weapons from complete safety.
I mean that's fair as your build makes or break a fight, but the sea spider is what most people struggled with (especially pre patch)
there's an interesting tidbit in the missions especially if you die in the protect the dam mission.... Branch is there not to conquer the dam.. no no... ITS TO LURE YOU OUT and TAKE YOU OUT.... the dam is just a pretense OBVIOUSLY... not a first in AC history.... destroy floating mines, occupy ateria carpals are basically the same idea
I love that part but wish branch a little more build up
Armored core 6 is absolutely beautiful
It really is a gorgeous game, I'd say it's better than the others but that isn't exactly hard to do
@MalcadorGaming because the only ones that are capable of such thing is fromsoftware and we're indeed blessed to have them is our lives
@@morepower6800 hah true, theyve definitely become the golden boys of gaming recently
I took it’s just a job 621 too far and become Walter’s literal dog for the first ending haha
Never even heard of ac before ac6 came out. Now I'll play every single one that comes out until i die.
