VVT is good for cars that need that extra bit of power. My opinion on VVT is that it's useless for high-performance cars because to put a cam in a car with VVT requires either a phaser limiter or a full lock. Now, cylinder deactivation is a sin because it just ruins everything like sound and performance.
@devrimekici6654 How so that's the truth. You literally never see cammed vehicles without either a limiter or a lockout 🤣. You run either of them to prevent piston to valve interference when increasing valve lift and duration. Cylinder deactivation is literally the most idiotic thing GM has ever come up with. Everyone's uses it on their V8 and look what it does. "Drops lifter eats cam lobe."
Coming from a Z06 owner, that guy has balls of steel. I would never floor it on a road where the road turns into dirt at the fog line. That’s just too dangerous
Man the stealership did my dirty bought a c6z & after finishing off with all the paperwork told me you have a fast car is has 6.2 ls3 built & cammed that’s suppose ably has 850hp & 600 to the wheels & did some research found out it needed to have a ls7… now the question here is a 6.2ls3 with cam better & faster than a ls7? Thanks in advance
Yeah that’s messed up how they did you. As far as an N/A motor the ls7 is the best choice. If you’re gonna go with boost, many would say the ls3 is the better choice because it’s got more meat in the cylinder walls (less cubic inches)

That blower doesn’t help with sound out the back. Just the whine up front. But throw a procharger on a c6z and the blow off valve sounds way better than any positive displacement blower whine
Ls7 is the last old school v8 ever made in my opinion no vvt or cylinder deactivation

I'm debating doing an ls7 swap on my 93 c4😂
Go for it. I might would consider selling you my engine tbh
Did you ever? Much cheaper to go with a 6.0, you could make 500hp n/a with it still
